Packed with creative displays, quirky collections with Black Mirror vibes, random little nooks and crannies, and a backyard that feels like a bomb went off at Facebook Marketplace. A good spot to browse and wander. If you're coming to thrift, though, prepare yourself emotionally. Prices are not what anyone would call "thrifty." We did manage to uncover a treasure chest of 60s vintage silk scarves priced at $12-$20, so miracles do happen. But on the whole, it's about a three star spot for thrifting: finds, but very expensive. Staff was hands off, which I actually appreciate when browsing. Very unique vintage shop in Topanga! Found it through TikTok and had to check it out while I was visiting. Had some really cool pieces from jewelry to clothes to accessories. It's huge so it's super fun to explore. In the back outside it's beautiful too and it just feels like you're being transported to another world. You can't miss this unique place! It's a great stop when you're in the area - I was impressed by all of the great clothing they had. Tons of gorgeous sweaters, hats, scarves, coats, and dresses that were in great condition. I think the outdoors makes it look like there are a ton of oddities inside, but they actually have some awesome vintage clothing for people with all different types of styles. We bought a cashmere sweater - it did have a stain and they wouldn't reduce the price, but other than that, it was a really great experience. I would suggest parking next door at the Pine Tree Shopping area and walking over, because there's really limited parking in front of the store. read more

I have to say as a middle-aged male that I never thought I would find shopping for vintage clothing all that interesting but today that entire world changed and oh my god what an impressive selection what a bunch of wonderful people it wasn't incredible amount of items to look through I couldn't of been happier it was like I was in heaven. I thought the employees were super nice they made it experience very pleasant. I absolutely love the music that they were playing but this whole area has spread out over several different environments so there's an outdoor area and there's several different rooms where you can just pick endless items to shop through it is incredible they do practice social distancing, their sanitizer provided, and they make sure to keep a certain number of people in the store as not to crowd. read more

I have lived in Los Angeles, my entire life, have grown up in Beverly Hills and spent my summers in Malibu, so I have dealt with my share of difficult and rude people before. But never have I ever been treated like such garbage as I was today. I was trying to help my mother figure out what kind of a store Hidden Treasures was. It appeared on her credit card and since she has had a fraudulent activity in the past, thought she would call over just to find out what kind of store this was to jog her memory so she could remember if she had gone to the store. My mom who is one of the kindest human beings I know, was met with such unbelievable rudeness and nastiness that it literally took her completely off guard. The woman who claimed she was a manager, told her to call her credit card company and report fraud. Not so sure why she was so quick to jump to that unless there's some scam going on behind the scenes here, but I'm still trying to understand why she refused to tell me or my mother what kinds of items they sold there. The manager then hung up in her face. When my mom called back thinking it might've been an accident. She hung up on her again. When she called a third time, she just picked up the phone and hung it up. As a daughter, and as someone who knows how to de-escalate situations, I decided to call and kindly appeal to her as a woman, and as someone who might understand that she wasn't disputing the charge, rather she was just trying to understand what they sold there. Maybe she did buy something and she didn't remember. She is 77 years old. Instead, the woman was incredibly nasty, told me that she had already given the information to my mother, which she had not, and then told me to call the credit card company. She told me that my mother and I were "harassing her" and that we were aggressive. We were neither of those things. In my life, I have never heard anyone describe my mom that way. I would never step foot in the store. Not just because they are rude, but I find it incredibly shady that a charge would pop up, and they would become immediately so wildly defensive when we simply asked what they sold there. I wouldn't touch the store with a 10 foot pole. Sorry, make that 100 foot pole. Disgusting. And shady. read more

Love the fur selection. The prices range from reasonable to pretty spendy, but I was able to find a fur coat of my dreams that was more reasonably priced than the $795 version I saw on the same rack. I enjoy the name of the place because I like secrets and also because I still feel like at some point in my life I will find some treasure (maybe on a hike or if I wrecked my car over a small hill that led me to a place that has been uninhabited for a long time but some greedy greedy was trying to hide some gold). Anyways back to me I found some iron on patches, unique earrings, a unique hat for my son who better friggin be funny or else(jk but I hope he is funny meaning I hope he makes me laugh hard enough to puke but no pressure) and mask that I may reveal to you one day but today is not that day as I have zits that might pop if the mask is too tight. Sure there were great clothes there and I will come back and get some more but I try not to let you really know about me because I have a hard time meeting people that know weird secrets about me like how I lost 30 pounds in my first month at college because I puked so much. Not on purpose though, I just grew up poorish so "all you can eat" made me literally eat all that I could eat. Why not eat cereal after chicken fried steak and eggs because there is just ceral sitting there. I would get so full that laughing too hard would make me vomit. What is even more weird is how used to it all of my friends got. Mid sentence puke didn't phase me... nor did it phase then?!?!? I mean who do you think is more weird now? I puked everywhere all the time. Then after a month I figured out how to deal with all you can eat (take some home in your jacket and be all greedy greedy). Really great store though. I love this place. Located on left side of Topanga just before the bridge if going to the beach or immediately after the bridge on the right. This funky and eclectic shop has tons of vintage and new clothing, shoes, accessories, jewellery, knick knacks and odds & ends with a nautical theme. More recently they've expanded their costumes and rave attire. It's crammed pack with all kinds of goodies! Prices are on the higher end but if you're looking for that one special piece, it's certainly worth it. Even if you're not into thrift stores, this is a great stop midway from the Valley to the beach. Take some pictures with pirates. Browse through all the oddities. My two stars go to the employee who uses they/them pronouns (didn't catch their name) because they were kind and friendly! Other than that, I do not support this place. Their "buyer" to sell clothes to is only in for 3 hours a day, maybe 3-4 days a week. It's extremely inconvenient and instead of having a set schedule, you have to call every day to check if "the buyer" is in at the moment/coming in at all that day. On top of that, I've sold clothes multiple times here and they always take almost everything, only giving back 1-3 things. This last time they looked at my clothes for 5 minutes and said the things are too modern. This doesn't make any sense as my style has not changed... maybe there are multiple buyers and it's all about who does it? Regardless the insane inconvenient process is absolutely not worth your time, even if they do end up accepting your items. read more

Really fun and unusual little spot out in Topanga. They had a variety of tops, bags, jackets, patches, scarves, candles, jewelry, shoes, rugs, trinkets and more. Really great use of space, there's something weird and odd to look at, at every turn. It is on the pricey side, I would've left with more if this wasn't the case. They're currently following CDC guidelines for Covid-19, customers must sanitize hands before going in and must wear mask at all times. read more

A fun, quirky shop located in Topanga town that is a great retail pit stop on your way to the beach or while exploring Topanga Town. Always love taking friends here to do some thrifting therapy because of the wide variety of vintage clothing and costumes they have. What seems to be a small boutique shop on the side of the road opens up into a 4+ room retail adventure that makes sure to never let you leave empty handed. Not a big clothing person? Came here with my gf a few months ago, and we vowed to return with our kids. We fought holiday traffic from Irvine, got there 10 minutes before they closed (we thought we'd get there closer to 430 before the GPS kept delaying our ETA), they held us up until 2 minutes before close because they didn't allow more than 9 customers in their 1300 square feet of retail area at once. Once we were all finally let in the store at 4:58pm, they announced that we could look around but they were closing the register so we couldn't actually buy anything. Once upon a time, merchants would let customers walk around and shop after closing time if you got in the store before they locked the door. The kids were so disappointed considering how long they spent in the car, but the staff seemed non-plussed, and instead were focused on closing up the store as soon as possible. Despite the drive, some of the kids asked if we could come back, but after the way we were treated, this store can go broke for all I care. read more

When I lived in Malibu I used to have to drive Through Topanga canyon every day. At that time I was throwing parties so this was usually the only place I would get my clothes. Stop find some thing completely original . Super happy that nobody at the nightclub party Rave event or gala would be wearing the same thing I was wearing. This has seriously always been a problem with me. I used to really stress out about going to the mall and liking some thing on a rack knowing that there was 15 more of them behind it. No way! It's always been a problem with me I like old stuff Mostly 50s 60's 70s 80s . My favorite favorite favorite thing to find something that somebody made by hand like from a pattern. I get so excited ! Anyways this place is full of amazing Beautiful preserved garments . They always have bigger tutus outside to catch your eye. Inside there's cool socks patch and anything and everything vintage ! I had always passed by this place never really knowing what kind of store it was but my friend and I were doing some exploring in our backyard. They are very careful during this time of COVID (which I appreciate). limited people in the store at a time, masks and hand sanitizer. You will find all kinds of stuff in this store...vintage clothing, costume jewelry, new and vintage items of all kinds...candles...patches.... My friend bought a few things that we wouldn't be able to pick up anywhere else vintage clothing, sunglasses, patches and fun socks and left very very happy. $545 for a vintage house coat?! The Topanga Tax isnt worth it- plenty of other great vintage shops to find resale/vintage items.

Quirky and unusual, those are the words for this place. I am not sure why this is listed as a thrift store because the prices certainly aren't for the thrifty; maybe for movie stars this place is a bargain. Incidentally, there more A-list movie stars living in Topanga now since the studios began to provide limo service from Topanga to the studios and back. Stars preferred Studio City and Hollywood Hills previously because of the proximity to work. Someone told me they saw Scarlett Johansson shopping here and it was not the store clerk who told me. There are certainly lots of unusual and hard to find items here, so certainly drop in here and check it out. I have not bought anything here but found it amusing and interesting to see this funky roadside attraction on Highway 27, right in the heart of Topanga Village. Close by is the Inn of the 7th ray and there is also a Butan shop selling Butanese wares and don't forget the Balinese place, Jalan jalan. read more
