I am not sure if the previous reviews from yelp are real or fake from my experience very bad service and couch fabric material is so cheap. paid over 16 grand not worth it. They took my couches cushions 3 times so far either to add fill or fabric issues with in the span of 14 months. one of my couch cushion's are sliding down every time u sit on it for more than 10 mins i try to explain to them they seemed to not care i advised there team to come to our house and just sit on it and get a feel no one seemed to care i was told by David that there is nothing they can do if the couch cushion's is sliding down. Somebody has to take this forward legally this is just not right how we have to pay hard earned money and not enjoy it. read more

I found The Sofa Guy completely by chance from an internet search. I drove up to the location and was greeted by Vicki. I thought at first they just sell furniture. Once there I learned they can help you customize and design your living spaces with a huge selection of sofas/chairs. I explained to Vicki that I wanted help putting together my formal living room which was a little odd configuration. She came to my house, took measurements and then came up with three amazing floor plans for me to choose from. I ended up going with the design pictured. She helped match everything to a blue chair I already had. I got to choose the fabrics I wanted and went with a performance grade since I have young kids. They have tons of fabrics to choose from. There is something for every taste. We did two oversized and super comfortable sofas in grey and then a super cool bench in a blue/cream print. To compliment it we chose some metal nesting tables. She sent me vision boards to help with the process because at times it can be hard to imagine what it will all be like. Everything from beginning to end with Vicki and the Sofa Guy team was amazing. We are so happy with the purchase and absolutely love our new furniture. We are still adding our own personal touch with pillows and accents but thanks to The Sofa Guy we have the most wonderful statement pieces. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone and everyone. Vicki took the measurements and we also got extra fabric plus additional arm chair covers. I came in the store to try out couches, then my husband did later too and we finally chose those we liked best. Felt like an episode of Goldilocks and the 3 bears. We kept trying the sofas til we found the ones that were" Just right." We did the stain test before purchasing by pouring ketchup and teriyaki sauce on the sample fabric. Stains will come out with dish soap and oxiclean with water no problem.. The sofas look great. We looked in other stores first in Northridge and North Hollywood and the sofas were not comfortable and the workers kept jumping at us the second we walked through the door for commission. We were frustrated til I found The Sofa Guy's site and also it was referred by my cousin. My cousin had gotten a chandelier there and said the sofas were lovely.... and the reviews were great. Updated Review: We ordered a new custom couch from The Sofa Guy with the hope that while it was expensive, it would also be high quality. Jasmine who took our order was friendly and easy to work with and recommended fabrics that she said would hold up well over time. The sofa is a L shape piece with cloth upholstery and cost about $6,000. A few weeks later we were told it was ready, and was at a shipping company warehouse in Oxnard on a Thursday. We asked if they'd deliver by the weekend because we had family coming over. The deliver company said no, they could or deliver until Monday or Tuesday and the cost was $200 for delivery. We went up with two trucks and got them ourselves, they still charged $100 for "processing" even though they didn't do anything. After getting it home the couch looks great and I'd comfortable. We had an issue with the fabric on the cushions, and while the initial response from the store wasn't great, the owner Paul stepped in and made it right and fixed it. We are happy with the couch, and enjoyed the design/ordering experience. The piece itself looks great and if very comfortable. Glad to see ownership stands behind their product. While the delivery process wasn't ideal, otherwise it all worked out and we are happy. Would recommend. read more

Update: we received our custom sofa right on time (no easy feat these days!), delivery guys were extremely professional, wearing masks and even helped us move our other old couch into another room, and right on time. The new sofa is amazing! Everything we had hoped for and definitely the star and center of the entire house now. It's massive!! Just like we wanted haha. It's comfort level is between a regular sofa and a RH Cloud couch, exactly what we were looking for, upholstery feels extremely durable yet super comfy. I hate posting this review but I have no choice. We purchased a couch from The Sofa guy and 3 months later it was creaking. They repaired it and 3 weeks later, creaking in different area of the couch. That time they made us a new couch it's now aprox. 6 month and this new couch is creaking all over the place. Great looking couch but as you get up it just make noise. I find it hard to believe that such an expensive couch has such a bad frame. read more

Several friends recommended The Sofa Guy and I loved that they are a local business, everything is custom made to order, and while other stores were saying they couldn't even guarantee I'd take delivery of a couch for nearly a year, they delivered early in just 5 weeks.
