    Vegan nuggets for $7.49
    Andrew T.

I came here with the goal of getting just soy milk but came out with a buncha other things at a good price too. I was sad to see that they didn't have soy milk. The one back in Mammoth had a cartoon going for $0.97 although that was a special deal since it was nearing its best by date so I didn't expect that kind of discount here but I was shocked to see that there wasn't any Silk Soy Milk. There was cashew milk and almond milk but those don't have the amount of protein that I'm looking for per serving so I settled tor the kids blend of pea and oat milk. It was $1.99 per carton which each has 8 cups so it felt pretty decently priced. Other than the soy milk, I also got tomato paste which I found to be the cheapest here when comparing to Aldi. I checked out the vegan chicken nuggets but I believe I can get something similar for cheaper at Smart and Final. I was shocked to see the green jackfruit. I was in search of it for vegan tamales so I'm glad I found them here. The can is larger than the usual canned food but it was $1.99 which seems a little expensive but I have nothing to compare it to since I've never purchased green jackfruit before. This might be the cheapest out there but I wouldn't know. I would suggest price comparing with Trader Joe's nearby since I heard that they also sell green jackfruit. It was a little hard to find in grocery outlet though. It's on the highest shelf above where most people look and I saw it right when I was about to give up on my search. I'm glad they had what I consider to be a niche item though. I also got a mixed bag of beans while I was here. They had humongous bulk size bags too but I don't have the space to store those right now. I didn't get a cart because I wasn't expecting to get so much so I looked like quite the mess holding everything in my two arms and hands. When I walked up to the checkout, another cashier appeared to open up another checkout. That was nice because my arms were gonna give out soon. Checkout went smoothly. When I told the cashier I was gonna run out real quick to get a cart, he respected my decision and let me while still continuing to scan my items. He offered a bag which I politely declined and he didn't insist any further on giving me a bag. It's a respectful establishment with very nice prices for many items. I will definitely be coming back for a lot of staples. I'm not sure how good their produce prices are but I've seen some good sales on strawberries before.

a variety of products in a store

Grocery Outlets are individually owned so when you go to one you just are not sure what you are going to get. We made the choice to go to this one for some Pizzelle, Waffle Cookies the local store ran out of (probably due to us). They are good and do not have a lot of calories so we enjoy them after dinner. We found them and got quite a few (no judging), "hmmm, how many can I fit in this cart?" Anyway, we got enough to last for sure and also found some other items our store ran out of before. Like I said each is a little unique so you can find some items at one store and then never see them again. I like all the stores for sure, so five stars for this one as well.

Vons/Macys gift card final review. Part 3…read more After shopping at Vons for over 35 years were done. As for Macys, were done with them too. Vons in both Simi Valley and Moorpark have been steadily declining most notably in the last five years. Both their selection and service has become very sparse. I for one do not like the obvious corporate decision to herd shoppers to the "self checkout" line. Now they are down to one live person available for checkout, it's just pathetic. The straw that broke the camels back was poor service I received when I purchased a Macys gift card at the Vons in Simi Valley on Cochran Street. They informed me that the gift card was tampered with and the $200 dollars on it was stolen. They contacted Macys gift card department "GC" and had me wait on phone and deal with Macys poor service. Sorry Vons, I will be shopping at Gelsons going forward, although they are more expensive, at least I will get better service and nicer cleaner environment to shop at. Now, as for Macys, just like most of big brand stores these days, customer service is non existent. My simple claim for $200 dollars could have been resolved within a week. But after exchanging emails with someone named Sean, at Macys GC department, and complying with what they asked for, (photos of the card in question and the receipt given at point of purchase) he responded twice that the receipt in the photo did not match with the card sold. After i informed him that store managers confirmed that was the receipt and card that was paid for, and he could contact them (store number included) to verify that, he just replied that the receipt was not a match. Sorry Macys, we will be shopping at Kohl's going forward.

The store was busy, but everything was so well organized, spotless, and welcoming. You could immediately tell the staff takes pride in maintaining a clean, comfortable, and inviting environment for customers. What stood out the most was how helpful and friendly everyone was throughout the store. Every employee I encountered seemed positive, attentive, and ready to help with anything I needed. That level of customer service is rare these days and definitely deserves recognition. Assistant Manager Kim was especially amazing. She was energetic, vibrant, and incredibly kind. Even while she was clearly busy handling other responsibilities, she still took the time to personally direct me to the sandwich area and made sure I knew exactly where to go. Her attitude and professionalism truly made my visit memorable. The sandwich deli team was also outstanding -- fast, efficient, friendly, and professional. The deli area itself was immaculate, and the service was seamless despite how busy the store was. Overall, this was one of the best grocery store experiences I've had in a long time. Go when they open, grab the bacon, order the Strawberry Glaze Skin Smoothie, sit outside, and lean into the absurdly California lineup of flavors and ingredients. Everything feels polished, fresh, and a little excessive in a way that somehow works. It's the kind of place that knows exactly what it is and commits fully Parking? Lot. Easy if you go early My top items: Strawberry Glaze Skin Smoothie (5/5): Almond milk, strawberries, banana, avocado, dates, maple syrup, collagen peptides, sea moss gel, and coconut cream sounds like something a wellness influencer invented during a spiritual awakening, but somehow it absolutely works. Yeah, twenty dollars for a smoothie is borderline criminal, but this thing tasted incredible. Very disappointed with the customer service at this Erewhon location…read more Erewhon charges premium prices, so customers reasonably expect both high-quality food and attentive service. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience. Over the past year, I have frequently shopped here with my young son, who often needs to be held rather than sitting in the cart. On multiple occasions, I have arrived at the register carrying him, with my own reusable bags clearly visible, yet the cashier and other employees have made no effort to help bag the groceries. They simply stand by while I balance a child in one arm and pack everything myself. Today, my wife had an equally frustrating experience. She was waiting in line at the hot-food counter with our son in her arms. When it was her turn, the staff ignored her while customers behind her called out their orders and were served. She repeatedly tried to get the employees' attention but was overlooked. At checkout, there were two employees working at the register. Once again, neither offered to help place her purchases into her bag, despite seeing that she was holding our child. This is not about expecting special treatment. It is about basic courtesy, awareness, and customer service--especially from a store that positions itself as a premium shopping experience. Erewhon should seriously review how employees at this location are hired, trained, and supervised. Basic etiquette and attentiveness should not be too much to expect. Very disappointing, Erewhon.
