Staff friendly and samples were available up front and crew member answered all my questions on products. I liked their produce section very much especially compared to other TJ's I have been to. I stopped by this Trader Joe's location today to get some holiday chocolate for my neighbors. I found parking just fine since I came in the morning but I know it will get busy in the afternoon since it shares the parking lot with Target. The produce area is toward the left hand side of the store when you walk in and the checkout is toward the right side of the store. I found everything I needed close to the checkout area. As there's so many locations throughout the city, I can say in my opinion this location is great. Plenty of parking which for TJ, that's a struggle. Their parking situation tends to always be a bitch...lol... Not only with a huge lot, it's next to loads of other stores and restaurants. A one stop for everything you need. As for TJ, it's always amazing and customer service is alway top notch. Everyone is always so friendly and always ready to help in anyways. If you have a question about something, there's an answer right away. If there's something you're looking for, someone will walk you there to it or have a look in the back to see if it's there. Customer service is always amazing for them. It's standard size to others but everything I need is always there. A good selection on the wine department. Veggies and fruits are always fresh. This location is hindered by being in the particular plaza where it lives, in my opinion. You have to get past the crowds heading to Target to get to Trader Joe's. There might be a clear path to circle past the the Target traffic by heading toward Starbucks, then using the far east part of the parking lot and coming around to TJ's. Dear Hubby and I did that end-around the other day. We were there on a Saturday afternoon. There was a lot of traffic in the whole shopping plaza. I was on the hunt for a bottle of wine to gift. DH dropped me off and went over to 85 Degrees Café to purchase dessert. I found a California Pinot Noir with an intriguing name and a fair price. Then I snagged a few healthy snack foods for me to take home after the dinner party we were headed to that day. Every single check stand was open, so it took almost no time to pay. The cashier I got was friendly, despite how busy it was in the store. It was cheering to see colorful fresh flowers both inside and outside the front of the store. Spring is coming! This is a great place to pick up plants or flowers, especially if you're looking for a gift to take when invited to a friend's home for a party or meal. read more

My go to place for shopping.... It's a great shopping experience as the people are always super friendly, store is clean and not a super large store but have everything you need! Always fun to see the changing items on shelves for the holidays! My favorite times is fall with pumpkin season and Xmas with all the desserts: candy, cookies and more! With that said there are items that I'm cautious about at this store: check fruits and vegetables well for freshness. Most should be eaten readily! I have had issues with dairy products: milk turns bad before the expiration date. I've return sour cream due to spores growing! Very poor and distasteful behavior from staff today 5/9/25. A man was playing an instrument, by the parking, not bothering anyone and the staff was saying things to the man like get a job, we are hiring. They get the manager to kick him out which he had no right to because he was on public parking. And while he's kicking him out the staff is clapping and still making immature comments. He wasn't asking for money, if people donated that was on them. This used to be my favorite TJ because the staff was "always" nice. I can't believe the poor treatment and the manager who allowed the staff to behave in such way. Not a very good representation of leadership. read more

Came this morning to get something to cook for Xmas. I also wanted to try the gingerbread ice cream. OMG it's so good. Got some steaks to bbq, and a few other things, plus raspberry champagne. Prices have really gone up here too! It's about the same as the grocery store now. I guess 72.00 for dinner is still cheaper than going out to eat. Service is still great here! read more

I review TJ by the following criteria Store size , products and staff . This store scores 5 stars all the way around. Visited both times during thanksgiving pumpkin everything season and recently the peppermint everything seasons . The store is well stocked with seasonal goodies , some new some old (thank you) but didn't notice all the TJ side dishes this year normally offered around thanksgiving . Maybe i missed them, maybe discontinued ? Their floral section is best in town, their flowers last far longer than the standard grocery store . the staff is attentive if you find expired items in the cheese chest (sometimes) the clerks will take the items out of you bring to their attention. Always enough floor staff to help customers and rarely out of the normal pantry items . I miss the smaller 12 oz of the TGiottos EVOO. Now they come in giant bottles that don't fit in my cupboards so i had to buy oil cruets & bottles /dispensers and refill them. Overall the staff is plenty will w gage to let you know if s product is discontinued so you don't dream about it. With covid no samples which is also a miss because it helped promote new items . There is only one negative comment and complaint I have about Trader Joe's, especially this location...the employees are constantly unloading the freight and in the way, and when they are, they refuse to move out of the customer's way. They pay no attention to a customer attempting to reach around, and even when I would say, "Excuse me", the employees will still not move out of the way. Tonight, I passed 3-4 employees in the sauce isle alone unloading merchandise that would absolutely not move. 2 women in the dog/toiletries isle that also would not move to allow me to get by. Bad experience. Went to this Trader Joe to find some things I needed that I couldn't get at other stores (COVID 19). I'm a family of 6 and had 2 other family members with me. We got a few of the same items that were not meat items, water, sanitation, milk, bread, or anything healthy (they had signs for basic essential items which we respected and did not hoard). An employee gave us attitude and took them from us. Fine with us, we just paid for them separately and got what we needed. You cause us an inconvenience, we will cause you can inconvenience as well. I come here on a weekly basis to get my groceries. I love the plant based options they have available but most of all I love the customer service that is given here at this store. Today, while awaiting the line in the boiling sun, the employees were handing out cold water bottles to all the customers. Now that is great customer service!! Although there is usually a line to get in due to pandemic times, it moves along pretty quickly. Also, whenever I come bring my cart back, an employee is always already walking towards me to grab it. I absolutely love this location. There is no Trader Joe's in the city I live in, so I travel 15-20 minutes to this location in Simi Valley. Every time I go the employees are the best, they will always recommend new items or will explain how they like a certain item. I have not once met a rude employee or someone that looks like they hate their job. Everyone here makes my trip worth it and I never regret a visit. I sometimes come here for my lunch, (my work isn't far from this location) they have vegan options for salads and wraps. What an excellent experience I had at Trader Joe's today! They were so organized, a very nice TJ employee came out and told us the shopping guidelines for the day. She let us know what items were in stock and any limits that were being placed on items. They allowed 20 people in at a time. They passed out sanitizer wipes. The employees were wiping down shopping carts, continually stocking grocery items and making sure to answer any questions. Outside of the store a very nice man from the community had come by early in the morning and actually measured the physical distance we should all keep - and laid down tape! Everyone shopping was so nice and kind to each other. No one was grabbing or hoarding. They were playing nice upbeat music - everyone working together made this a very enjoyable shopping experience. read more

Erika... Thank you! I was shopping with my 2 year old. He's wonderful, he's sweet, he's funny and independent. He was out of the shopping cart, on the loose, and about the have a complete melt down in the aisle. She must have seen what was about to go down from a distance. Like a guardian angel of toddler moms across the world... she appeared. "Come with me", she said. As she lead my son toward the door, where they keep the miniature shopping carts. She helped him get his cart out and with in seconds we were back to shopping and the meltdown was averted. Erika saved my life. I was having a really bad day and just didn't have it in me to deal gracefully with a toddler meltdown. She saved me. She saved my son. She saved the customers and the staff from a huge scene. Traders is a special place. The individualized packed produce makes mealtime easy. The sweet potato ribbons are great in salad. The pizza ingredients allows you to create a simi homemade Italian treat! I make a goats cheese , fig and arugula flatbread that is a crowd pleaser. And, oh my, of course there is the Kringles! The pecan is my favorite! The Simi store has a friendly staff and easy to maneuver store lay out. This place is my home away from home. read more

Quite possibly one of the BEST Trader Joe's I've ever been to!! This location and the Cobble Hill (Brooklyn) location are my two favorites ever. This particular location is just gleaming with cleanliness, variety and efficiency. Everything is super well stocked and fresh. There are so many items here that I haven't seen at other locations. The parking lot is a little small, so be careful, as with any trader joe's, lots of pedestrian traffic. There is also a Target in the same lot amongst other eateries and local businesses. I feel fairly safe at this location too. Overall a fantastic Trader Joe's, I wish every Trader Joe's was like this! read more
