This is also my favorite location here in the city of Simi Valley. There are too stores in the city. Personally, I myself enjoy shopping here better than Walmart. The store is cleaner and more organized. The there is a Starbucks inside also for you! They do a fantastic job in promoting the different Holidays with their displays and layouts. Great Presentation. The store always looks very clean and most of all the restrooms are also kept clean. Sometimes there are some good sales, prices vary. Always check your receipt during their sales. Never assume. There has recently been a remodel to expand the grocery offerings while condensing the pharmacy, cleaning and personal hygiene products. Unfortunately, the signage adjacent to the pharmacy is completely misnamed with aisle signs: took us 15 minutes to find eye care products which were in the contraception and marital fun machines. This should be addressed so pharmacy folks don't have to verbally guide customers to their needs. read more

I stopped by this Target today to get some items for my trip to Brazil soon. This Target recently got remodeled so I was interested to see what they changed. I already saw that their self checkout area is much bigger and also the customer service area too. Starbucks here also got remodel and I think the new layout works better for them. With the remodeled, the produce area is much wider and open. They also put the beer, alcohol and wine near there as well toward the back of the store. The new aisle sign inside the store looks more modern and clear. I was able to go look at the Halloween area and they had some great animatronics here. The whole layout of the store changed a bit but you just have to get familiarize with where everything is and it won't be an issue. read more

To Management, When you freezer & dairy section has been BROKE DOWN FOR OVER A WEEK it might be nice to put a note on the door so your disabled customers don't have to hike all the way back to the furthest corner of the store when there is no grocery to be had . I had looked the items up on line and it showed available for pick up ! One of the employees said it had been down since the last power outage . The absence of cars in the parking lot should have tipped me off. I realize not tipping customers off at the door has its advantages for the business hoping we buy something else while we are in the store but nope . I get mixed feelings about the people who work here most of the time it's good. Today was a very annoying experience. I was going to go in for on thing but I wanted to get my dog some water cause he had been out all day with us. The people at the Starbucks were super nice and amazing and got water for him and a pup cup. Unfortunately my dad drank too fast and got sick. I was more than willing to pick it all up and clean it. But they told me not to worry about it I got him out side cause I knew he shouldn't be in there anymore after that. I hand my dog over to my partner and walk back in to express my extreme apologies I spoke with a man name Ryan I believe. I addressed that that was my fault and I can help clean up or anything. He cuts me off to say "it's fine, but your dog isn't allowed here anymore" I replied back and acknowledged him and agreed "I won't be bringing him anymore I didn't know he was going to be sick after drinking water this isn't normal, but I'm bringing him home." He then had a very condescending tone with me and basically spelled it all out for me again "no he is not allowed in here ever again not just today" I said I understand thank you for letting me know it won't happen again. He then said " I'm part of lose prevention and I have the authority to make that decision" I again said "I've understood that the first time you told me and the second time, I just wanted to say sorry, I really don't need to hear it over again" he said "bye have a good day" Take that how you will, but I was trying to be apologetic and nice but he was very rude to me. A simple "it's fine we will pick up the mess. Hope the dog is okay but he is no longer allowed in our store for now on. I hope you understand" would have been sufficient. I hope there is a way for target to look in to this employee and work on his customer service and communication skills. Good day or bad day don't let it affect your work. read more

Still my favorite Target in the area. Dear Hubby and I stopped by for some fill in shopping recently. They're bringing out the Valentine's Day clothing, accessories, household items, and generally moving on from the Christmas holidays. It looks like they are jumping on the health & fitness bandwagon, too. The front feature area for women's clothing is filled with leggings, sports bras, and all other manner of yoga-inspired toggery. Interestingly, though it's very much winter, they are starting to bring in their swimsuits already. What?! I couldn't even imagine a trip to the neighborhood hot tub when it's high 40's outside at night. In the food aisles I was able to find what I was seeking for soup, bread, Clementines, and other needed essentials. They even have vegan mac & "cheese" which I'll give a try. Oh, how I miss dairy! The store was clean, and well-stocked in most areas I visited. A lot of shoppers elect to use self check-out, but I wanted to interact with a human and chose a regular check stand line. I love this Target! It's always clean and organized. There are plenty of employee's always willing to help answer questions and find merchandise. As an inclusion, I only use the CVS Pharmacy, in this Target. Again, very nice and knowledgeable Pharmacist's and Technicians. I'm e never had a problem with a prescription here! The food Market in this Target is well organized and well supplied. I often skip going to my big grocery store, and get my groceries here. The selection is terrific and I usually leave satisfied with the value I receive. My daughter loves the infant/baby Dept. for her newborn and is an overall fan of the most of the Departments goods. I personally like the Pet Dept. and the Home Dept. as well as the Auto Dept, although I wish they carried car seat covers and simple products like auto compound. Overall, I find the value on products competitive, but the sales very valuable. It's a nice store with nice people including the Cashiers, who know how to pack a bag of reasonable weight to carry! This is important to Seniors like me! read more

Still one of my favorite Target locations. It is clean and pretty. The parking lot is nice and well lit. The employees are friendly. Here is my only complaint: This location seems to be the low man on the list of being restocked. They are always out of everything and they don't carry a lot of variety. The Target on the other side of town seems to be stocked all the time and carries a much better selection and variety of items. But all that being said, I still prefer this location because it is closer to my home. Also, if I really need something that bad, I can always order online and pick up in store. I think they just go to the other location and bring it back here. I only do that when I'm really lazy because I don't like paying all of the extra fees. read more

I love Target Optical. I have been going here for years. Dr. Huynh & her sales associate Brianna are great! Unfortunately, today I went in to pick up my glasses. I was so excited. The sales person was a young man. He was rude. I felt that I inconvenienced him because when I walked in, he was texting on his phone. I said I was here to pick up my glasses. Then I noticed that Brianna was busy cleaning/dusting. When I asked him if he was going to adjust my glasses, he stared at me when I said this. I said well usually when I pick up my glasses, the sales person will ask me if I want them adjusted or they will just do the adjustment automatically. So he questioned me, Do you feel like you need them adjusted? he asked me That 2x! I just said you know what just give me my glasses and I'll be on my way. Then Brianna stepped in and said if I ever needed an adjustment that I could come back in anytime and I thought that was very nice of her. Let's just say if I return it will be to be Customer Service by her and not him. I'm sure he went right back to his cell phone when I left. (he was wearing a bowtie, which I thought was nice, but doesn't make up for his lack of personality/rudeness.) read more

I spent 180 dollars on v bucks fortnight gift cards that are faulty. I took them in to the store tonight and this guy Ryan in customer service said yes we've had so many complaints about these cards. Haven't been to this location in years. Came about noon today it was pretty dead, great for me! Bought some healthy choice dinners on sale for 2.99. Also got some light bulbs and cosmetics. Visited the optical department too. This is a nice big clean well stocked Target. Employees were nice too. Noticed some of their food prices are much higher than the frosty store. Used to be the other way around. All in all it was good for me. read more

Their drive up is always horrendous. Often will wait, and have seen staff help up to 6-8 other cars that would come after me to be helped. As far as the interior, their staff is never friendly or interactive. Have probably only seen one staff member whose genuinely interactive and is often a late night cashier. They're pretty much stocked in a sense, and that's probably the only redeeming quality of this target location and why I would ever give this place the one star I have to give. read more

Even though the sign on the front door clearly states only service animals are allowed and that service animals do not ride in carts, this store doesn't care (obviously, since dogs in the cart at a human checkout line seems to be just fine with this stores employees and management). Next time you buy your groceries remember that you'll get a nice helping of dog ass with your dinner if you are using their carts, shame on Target. The location is great, the shopping lot includes a tesla super charger, the Habit, Subway and others. In the last 6 months I've caught them overcharging me 3 separate times. Once on tooth brushes, once on wine, and once on a toy for my daughter. It seems purposeful at this point, make sure to check your receipts! read more

I am obsessed with reading non-fiction books and Target has stepped up their game in the books department. Not to mention, great prices. 20% off paperbacks and 30% off hardcovers from list price. PLUS if you have a RedCard, you get an additional 5% off. I look forward to their awesome deals like buy 3 get 1 free! Friendly team members. They offer hand sanitizers and wipes at entrance. My husband lost his wallet 7 months ago, and he couldn't remember where he lost it. After searching for all the possible locations ( only missed this one), we gave up. We didn't expect any miracle like some one would return it. However we received a letter one day from the Target telling us that the wallet was found and locked up at the service desk. We jumped for joy. So we drove here and told the lady at service desk. She quickly retrieved the wallet which had everything as before; DL, credit cards, cash, and other things. We always liked this store, but now we have more appreciation for the wonderful staff. It's a blessing to have it in our neighborhood. read more

I have to share that I'm conflicted as I write this because I love Target. I'm a FAN! And I truly love that I can purchase items online and then simply breeze in and pick them up. However.... EVERY time I visit this Target, the Pick Up area is a Disaster Zone! I'm sharing two pictures I took at two different pick up times. I have about twelve other photos of this area in the same messy state - but why be that repetitive? It's just a mess and it's always a mess. Something great to note about this location - they have a Ventura County Credit Union ATM in the Customer Service area. For those of you who bank with this institution, it's nice to have this added convenience at the West end of Simi Valley. OK, for those of you who are still here with me - I was SOOOOO happy when this Target opened up a few years ago. It's less crowded than the Target on Cochran Street and it seems much larger as well. Usually, I just do pick up's or use self-check-out. If I'm buying a cartful of paper products, I definitely swing into a lane with an attendant. My experience with the staff here is 50/50. Sometimes I get someone so friendly and genuine; and other times I get someone who is carrying on a conversation with another employee and couldn't care less if I shopped here or not. OK, now that I think about it, the later probably happens a little more than 50%. The store interior was recently resituated and reminds me of those old Mervyn's stores. But their new clothing additions are great and their prices can't be beat. Another great thing about this location that I'd like to share is that they really have a terrific "fancy" cheese selection. I've found some delicious cheeses here that I've never found anywhere else. Overall, I love Target despite their messiness and impoliteness. This Target is like having a teenage kid (I don't but this seems like what it would feel like). Hopefully, just like any other teenage kid, they'll grow out of it, mature, and start to appreciate their customers and their career positions. I wanted to give props to this Target location. During this whole COVID-19 situation, I found myself having to wait in line at 7 am to purchase TP. The line got very long but the time the opened the store. Thankfully target personnel were helpful and organized. They came out and told everyone in line how much supplies they had and asked everyone to be organized and understanding. By the time we all came in, everyone respected their line positions (no running) and each of us got the supplies needed. This store is always clean, almost all staff is friendly and helpful... I say almost because there is always a HS kid with a bad attitude. But for the most part, customer service is great and I appreciate everyone's efforts speciallly during this chaotic time. I have been going to this location almost 4 days a week , for the last 4-5 years , as it is basically right around the corner from where I live, and between my place of occupation and my residence. Today, I was in line with a cashier who is handicapped, with a cleft hand. I watch him bag up items for every one with his same skin tone ... however , when after purchasing my items and telling him all I would need is one bag. He didnt give me a bag, though he was sure to charge me for one. I remind him that I wanted 1 bag... he then hands the bag to me so I could bag my 3-4 items . I did not jump to conclusions...I thought. ..maybe his winged hand is tired and he cant bag. But right after I left the line he goes back to bagging every person that matches his skin tone. I am of Eber descent. (Meaning I'm brown of skin or Most would say Black or African American. I AM STILL TRYING TO GET USED TO THE BIGOTRY THAT SIMI VALLEY IS HOLDING ON TO WITH ALL THEIR MIGHT. but things like this are hurtful, demeaning, disrespectful, and down right ugly. You would think a disabled or physically challenged person would be a bit more understanding as someone could easily, make fun of or treat him differently because of his handicap, but nope .... he treated me like the nigger he saw with his heart.... and if he has a problem assisting those who are not of his ethnic background, he shouldnt be a cashier. This store gets one star for just being a Target. I generally like Target and for the most part have not experienced any issues with any other of their stores. This location gets another star for being clean. And another for having a friendly staff. Cant give them any more because it's no exaggeration to say that the shelves are always poorly kept up. They always have empty shelves. If you take the time to look up the product on their app ahead of time you will see they have the product BUT they can't seem to be bothered to place them on the shelves. This has happened numerous times. And I have come back days later to see the shelves in the same condition. You'd think that an apocalypse has taken place and their was a run on random products. And if you ask an employee to get it from the back Heaven help you because it will be a 20+ minute wait. read more

I went through the self check lane at this target and had trouble with my debit card so I had to insert it twice when I was done the worker that was standing there asked me to see my receipt when I was leaving as if I tried to steal something he made an excuse which made no since said the swifter pads I was buying are going quick so he needed to see my receipt. That makes no sense and I would never steal anything made me feel like a criminal won't shop there again Didn't want to give any stars but it won't let me proceed with my review with out choosing at least one star. This target has gone downhill from when I first started coming here, I usually don't bother writing complaints on big corporate stores but this is different every time I come to this target it's always un stocked, shelves are always empty the foods they sell are always about to expire. The self checkouts are filthy they require you to wear a mask in the name of public health yet they don't bother keeping this store clean. This is my go-to Target now since we moved to Simi a few months ago. I generally like it, but there are a few things that I don't love: 1. If there is more than one cart return area, I haven't seen it. It's really annoying (and almost impossible), especially when you have a child, to return the cart to the single cart return lane. This also explains why the parking lot is full of random carts everywhere. 2. I usually have a good experience with Drive Up orders, but the last two times, not so much. Items were missing and/or incorrect items were delivered. 3. The bag fee of $1 for drive up orders. Why? The app says the charge will be reversed if no bags are used. I needed a $1 item last minute and since I had my baby with me, did a drive up order. I think they should have used their discretion to not give me a big bag with my single item in there, or at least not charge me a dollar. 4. They're always out of certain brands of milk! I have to ask an employee to look for it each time and I stand around waiting for 5-10 minutes for them to find it in the back. I'm grateful that they usually find it, but it would be great if the fridge was already stocked. 5. There are no trash cans outside. I know...random, but it's something I've needed and didn't find. Overall, the employees are really nice and will go above and beyond to find what you're looking for. I have, however, also experienced really immature female employees who stand around gossiping with the cashiers, or don't know how to process gift cards etc. and you end up paying out of pocket. Those are my few cents. It's a great store, but I think it can be better. read more

Did a drive up order and when we got home, only 2 of the 5 items were in the bag. Tried to call them, but their phones don't work at this location. We will have to drive back and get the items ourselves. Stay away from this location if you want to do a drive up. Overall bad experience. read more

I'm biased about Target. No matter which location I go to, I love them no matter what. This one is a bit larger then others and has a great selection of items. They came in clutch when fires destroyed a good portion of our area still having enough supplies to help people even though the shelves were pretty bare. Angel helped us that night and he was the most delightful young man I have had helping me at ANY Target before. He was a new employee he had expressed to us and we couldn't help but think about what a great asset he was to the team. Friendly, personable, funny and chatty, we enjoyed every second in the check out line. He truly made our experience great at such a hard time. read more

This Target is going down fast. They have been closing the self checkout constantly. They told me they do this to push people to the human check out. But MOST (not all) the employees are super rude. And will treat you like you are an idiot. It's usually the older employees. I have literally had to show them 3-4 times that they were wrong. Taking pictures to show them that the item I have IS on clearance. I get that no one of a certain age wants to be working retail. But if you're doing the job, at least be nice! The younger employees aren't the sharpest tools in the shed. But at least they mostly have good attitudes. Which again is why I like self checkout. I don't have to deal with the employees that act miserable and literally will leave me in a bad mood. Target has better prices than the grocery store, and I live across the street. But getting to the point not dealing with their employees and ever changing policies is worth going down the street. read more

This is definitely my preferred target to visit in Simi Valley. I find this Target is always clean and I usually can find what I'm looking for. Lately I've been doing curbside grocery pickup but it seems every time there's an issues. I tried to give the benefit of a doubt maybe it was just a one off event, but there's always an issue. Either missing items, broken eggs, opened spilt milk, extremely old/molded avocados and the list goes on. Curbside pickup is suppose to make things easier and more convenient but it always seems to be a headache. It's very frustrating when I get home to find milk spilt all over the produce or avocado so bad I'm not sure why they're even out. Just FYI, double check everything when you get home. read more

Person at Target not Wearing Mask despite California Mandate. Employees did not do anything. I was at the Target located on 51 Tierra Rejada Rd, Simi Valley, CA 93065, Friday July 31 around 5:05 pm. I was on the second self-checkout and I noticed the guy next to me -on first self-checkout line- was not wearing mask. I was shocked. He continued scanning his products without any Target employee saying anything. There is almost always a target employee near the self-checkout lines to provide assistance. So once I finished scanning my stuff, I went to talk to a target employee who was less than 8 feet away from me, standing by the register. I asked if Target enforces the face mask policy. She replied that Target does. I proceeded to ask why she didn't ask the man next to my self-checkout line to put the mask on. The employee was near by and the self-checkout lines are on her field of vision. I was told she did not see the man. I truly don't think that was the case. She was only eight feet away and standing by a register. I asked for the Manager. The Manager, Joseph, was next to her. I was told the customer was asked -while he was shopping in the store- to put the mask on. The customer had replied he didn't want to wear the mask because: "the mask was uncomfortable given that he had a beard." Apparently, he put the mask back while shopping. Once near or at the register, he decided to take the mask off. I am really concerned that target employees: a) do not have situational awareness, particularly when it comes to individuals in their stores and/or b) are too scared to enforce the statewide policy mandate..so instead of talking to those who do not wear masks and ask them to put them on, they choose to look the other way. It is also unbelievable that people are so selfish to put others at risk, without regard to those who are vulnerable (the elderly, children) and/or whose immune systems are compromised and are prone to infections/disease. I guess some people care more about their own beards than human health or life. read more
