    Valentine's fashions for girls.
    Lianne K.

Still my favorite Target in the area. Dear Hubby and I stopped by for some fill in shopping recently. They're bringing out the Valentine's Day clothing, accessories, household items, and generally moving on from the Christmas holidays. It looks like they are jumping on the health & fitness bandwagon, too. The front feature area for women's clothing is filled with leggings, sports bras, and all other manner of yoga-inspired toggery. Interestingly, though it's very much winter, they are starting to bring in their swimsuits already. What?! I couldn't even imagine a trip to the neighborhood hot tub when it's high 40's outside at night. In the food aisles I was able to find what I was seeking for soup, bread, Clementines, and other needed essentials. They even have vegan mac & "cheese" which I'll give a try. Oh, how I miss dairy! The store was clean, and well-stocked in most areas I visited. A lot of shoppers elect to use self check-out, but I wanted to interact with a human and chose a regular check stand line. That went quickly. Another successful Target run!

Gorgeous store, friendly staff and well stocked shelves. The sparking floors are very welcoming and give a sense of luxury. The carts were newer and rolled smoothly. I completed my shopping with no problems.

I came here to buy emergency jeans (forgot mine at home and realized they were missing when I was changing at the gym to go to work).

Dear Hubby has been super happy to learn of Mike's Clocks, especially. DH retired as a jeweler and watch enthusiast/dealer, and the love runs deep still. I was cleaning and found a unique acrylic-surround clock from the late 50s or early 60s that he'd forgotten about. He took it to Mike for cleaning and evaluation. In a couple days Mike called and said that cleaning and lubricating was all it needed. He gave tips for how to keep the movement safe (use it on a surge protector, as a power spike would likely fry the works). I fell into the rabbit hole of one of their crafty vendors who makes letter signs out of found metal objects. Creating a "J" out of a claw hook, topped with a bottle opener, fastened to a distressed piece of wooden board is an example of the craftiness. All of the pieces utilize things that might have been discarded as old, beat-up, possibly no longer useful. Their rag-tag appearance, when repurposed into new display pieces celebrates American manufacturing, back in its heyday. The hardware also reminds me of all the "pieces - parts" my grandfather used to collect in his garage. Nostalgia for days! We now own four of these small remnants of the past, but that may not be the end of it. The shop owners encourage diving into collecting the letters, by having displays spelling out "SPRING", "CELEBRATE", etc. Possibilities are endless! The various vendors do a wonderful job of freshening their spaces, keeping current with seasonal changes. Some of the accent furniture is repurposed, having undergone a milk paint treatment. Great prices, friendly staff. Keep a sharp eye out for treasures, lest another shopper snag one before you do!

My old mattress I purchased over 10 years ago and has been great to me for so long; But as my therapist and chiropractor recommended, time to find new support. I always prioritize my health and lately have found sleep to be a vital piece of that puzzle. Admittedly I find myself to be a "value bargain" type but I knew my health was priceless for this purchase. I quickly gravitated towards the Tempur-Pedic brand mattresses. The difference between it and others is substantial. Although at a price. Our salesman, Andy, did a great job at giving us a deal we couldn't resist. Next day we had our mattress delivered to our house! And after night 1 of sleep and day 1 of a nap I am so happy with our purchase! I slept so well and already noticed a difference in relief of joint/back pain. Amazing! Can't wait to sleep again Thank you again Andy. The special stuffed animal for our daughter was also special. Much appreciated!

After seeing the advantages, and the lower than expected cost, we did purchase one. So happy with it! We WILL always go to The Sleep Shoppe for our "sleep" needs. As well as recommending to anyone who is looking sleep products. Thanks so much Andy!!!!!

We stopped by numerous times to sit in a few different chairs and to finally decide which one we wanted to purchase. It's being hand crafted in Japan as I write this! Both my husband and I fell in love with Japanese design and craftsmanship a few years ago on our first trip to Japan. Since then, we've been drawn to various Japanese shops and stores around LA. There are a couple great shops for housewares around southern California - but we never found a shop that carried Japanese made furniture. My husband happened upon Ookkuu's website while looking for lighting - and we were shocked to find that they carried a number of items by famous Japanese architects and industrial designers that we'd never imagined we'd find in the states. We're lucky to have this shop in South Pasadena - I don't think there's a shop like it elsewhere in the states. Their showroom is on the second floor of an office building, don't be fooled - they love walk-ins! The showroom is small - but they carry quite a few of the items from their website. It's amazing what they can fit in there. It's definitely worth a visit to see these pieces in person. They also have a few small items like glassware, incense, plates and paper lanterns. They get new pieces in pretty regularly - so it's nice to go back often. Can't say enough great things - we'll be back when we decide to make our next purchase!
