this is a review for the poly and bark malaga sectional sofa i had this sofa for three years now and i have to say it is a big dissapontment. a year in the seat and back cushions started having these plastic feather sticking out . its a lot, so we to make sure to remove them so our dogs dont accidentally swallow it. alos the seat cushions slide out and the back cusions need to be constantly re adjusted ...not fun at all... read more

My husband and I were looking for a beautiful leather couch and came across this brand. I was shocked to find an outlet store right where we live. Naturally, everyone wants a good deal. We were able to find a beautiful Napa leather sleeper for a great price, and we even got a matching ottoman for a steal, too. We'll see how it wears, but this outlet had a lot of things available. The quality felt excellent in person, and very comfortable. Since there doesn't seem to be an actual store nearby, I would highly suggest coming here in order to see how the couches feel and their dimensions. They have different sized leather and fabric couches and sectionals, ottomans, armchairs, dining chairs/bar stools, even rugs. If you want something that looks a step above what you'd get from Ikea, I would highly suggest coming here. They're only open Sundays and Wednesdays, and you have a week to pick up your item. Let me say that the Lea sofa I bought, sight unseen, is stunning. The photo is accurate and is exactly as it looks in the photo. The sofa is well made and comfortable. My issue with this company is the customer service. When I was trying to buy the sofa, the woman, Jennifer, seemed uncertain and not comfortable with the questions about the sofa and wanted to get off the phone. After I purchased the sofa, and called back, calls were not answered. Jennifer told me the sofa had shipped which was contrary to what the email said and my credit card was charged. I felt the sales woman was not forthcoming. When I sent an email, I was told, the sofa had not been shipped. I contacted Deliverright and the people there, alone with the customer service was outstanding. My questions were answered in a forthright manner and messages were returned Anna took particular interest in texting information and when I found out the item, which was local and in stock , was going to arrive two weeks later than promised, she was able to push delivery within a couple of days. The delivery price for white glove was excessive in my opinion. Poly and Bark charges based out whether you what the packaging removed, sofa left outside or inside and assembled. This type of nickel and dime look makes the company appear to be cheap and not customer centered. If their CS were better Poly and Bark would be outstanding. The delivery guys kept me in the loop and were very nice to work with in delivery. I love the sofa. Buying sight unseen involves more than the product and I hope this company puts more training in customer service. read more

We got the Calle sofa (90") and the Calle apartment sofa (75"). Everything - from the website interface, email communication, delivery, and the actual product all exceeded expectation. The delivery folks were communicative and professional. The couches are great. We've had them about three weeks only, but love the quality of the leather, quality of the feet, the cushions are firm but soft - just right. The cognac is a rich, warm color. Honestly, we are over the moon with the purchase. I am just trying to refrain from buying more! read more

Returns are impossible. Their "100 Day Return Window" is meaningless, because they won't agree to pick up the items. We bought a sofa from them two months ago. We immediately realized the back was too low and it was uncomfortable. I emailed them the next day. They made me fill out an online form, which they claim was never received. I had to submit it 3 more times and threaten a credit card chargeback before someone "found it". That was four weeks ago. They promised me the delivery company would contact me to arrange pickup "within 48 hours". Nobody has contacted me. I have emailed them repeatedly. They now are telling me they cannot provide a timeframe. In the meanwhile, we have a giant sofa standing up in our living room taking up space. They also require you to retain the original packaging, so there's a 10' shipping crate in our garage we can't get rid of. Absolutely abysmal customer service. read more

Latest response is that they will do a 'courtesy waive' of the $49/chair restock fee if we bring the 6 chairs to a UPS store to send back (with a rental truck, I suppose?)...or should we try to fit a chair in our car and make 6 trips? I've never had to work so hard as a customer to get a company to simply replace a defective item. That should have been the solution in the first place. Now chairs out of stock. read more

I'm writing this review because these reviews were so helpful to me when deciding if I should purchase from Poly and Bark online, so I wanted to pay it forward. I purchased this sofa on September 19, and it was delivered today, Monday October 10th. It was originally scheduled to be delivered last Monday. I took off work last Monday to be home for the delivery by AM Trucking, and in the middle of the delivery window, they called and said their truck broke down and it was being taken to the service station and they would have to reschedule. I had read the many negative reviews about this carrier service and worried about a second missed delivery. After emailing Poly and Bark customer service, they contacted AM Trucking. Customer service from both companies was very fast, kind, and apologetic. AM trucking rescheduled the delivery for today, and even gave me white glove delivery at no charge for the inconvenience. The delivery was on time this morning. I got a call 30 minutes before they arrived. They got it out of the box, into place in my living room, and had me sign for it all in less than 20 minutes. We love our Poly and Bark couch! It's comfortable and we love the look in our space. So far it's toddler friendly and I hope it stays that way! All of that to say that last Monday I thought I was going to be writing a disappointing review, and as a first time Poly and Bark customer, that was going to be heartbreaking to me since I love the style...but customer service was wonderful and I'll definitely be a returning customer! read more

there's something not quite right about this place. They are only open two days a week. They ask you to submit emails for information about their in stock items. They don't answer the phone and when they do, they tell you that they can't give you any information directly, but send an email. This has been a terrible sofa from the beginning and hasn't improved at all. My prediction of this getting worse was spot on. Oh and it was nice for the owner of Poly and Bark to reach out "as if" he was interested in my concerns. But it was all PR work for the sake of the YELP 2 star review. I emailed Levi with the order number and NEVER wait let me say that again NEVER received a response. So here is the update on the sofa: Still very uncomfortable for not only the occasional napping but also for sitting to enjoy an entire movie. What I did discover is flipping the seat cushion does provide better support than using it as it was ACTUALLY intended. THE LEFT AND RIGHT ENDS ARE SUNKEN and we now have to leave a blanket under the cushion so we can sit up right. Needless to say I can't wait to get a new quality built sofa that we can actually use as it was designed and don't need to worry about having to "Set up the sofa for company" and being able to live a normal happy COMFORTABLE life at home. For $1800 Please save your self the backaches and pocket book sting for this piece of poorly designed pile of wood and stuffing. I have enclosed photos of our daily use of this TERRIBLE sofa. For the record I did reach out to them before buying and asked for the total weight capacity and was told 750lbs was the max. My husband is 185 and I am 130 so we are not even at 1/2 the capacity and we rarely sit on the thing at the same time. Oh and Hey Dov, please don't bother to reach out to me again for any response clearly it's not worth your time to follow up on anything. You have done a great job with the instagram and Facebook influencer ADS to worry about a little Quality control and Customer satisfaction concerns. Jonathan answered all my questions about leather care and their sale process. The outlet offers a huge selection of dining tables, nightstands, rugs, lights, couches, and ottomans at a great price. No delivery services are offered. We had to rent a truck to buy a Napa 88" brown leather couch with a matching ottoman. We like the ottoman because we can move it to the right or left side whenever we like. We love it so far! The couch has very comfy cushions and looks modern and sleek. We oiled and conditioned the leather right when we brought it home. The leather did look aged and dry at first, but after the leather oil, it looks amazing! After realizing one of the two items we wanted was out of stock, I called to ask about dye lots of the leather if we were to order at different times. Received excellent, knowledgeable, and friendly customer service and then ordered 72" sofa in cognac while waiting for the matching 88" sofa to become available. We love them both. They came well packaged, and setting them up & attaching the legs was a breeze. They are roomy, beautiful to look at, and very comfortable. I am 5'9" and have had many comfortable naps on the smaller sofa, often sharing space with the dog. They are getting a lot of wear in our home from two adults and a child. Our dog jumps on them and regularly places his front paws on the back cushions to look out the window, and I think they just keep getting better looking with time. They have a generous return policy which we did not need to utilize. If you're spending a few thousand dollars on furniture it's a good idea to understand their policies. We had very good customer service throughout, including delivery updates, always very courteous and professional. I'd say the only drawback of the purchase was having to dispose of the enormous boxes once we were sure the couches were keepers, but small price to pay. Will likely purchase an ottoman in the near future. Highly recommend both the products and the company. read more

With my family, we were excited about purchasing furniture from this "local" establishment. After walking around a bit, no employee approached us, most were huddled around at a desk conversing. I then stood near where they were sitting, and nobody gave me a glance. I then contacted the guy at the laptop, and he appeared not that interested, but took my order and cooly told me to return later. So I did, and when I did, they were sitting at the same place, doing the same thing, and to shorten this up, this arrogant and rude guy after standing again, I had to ask him what was next, and got a short vague, cool detached response. Perhaps his family own the joint? Idk, but this behavior is becoming so prevalent, its a marker of our failing society. A fun family day, once again, botched; punctuated with this kind of service. I wanted a leather sectional and it needed to fit a certain area. Poly and Bark had exactly what we needed. I ordered it online, after reading lots of great reviews. Knowing it was made in the USA made a big difference to us. I added additional insurance since this was a major purchase and I am planning to have it for a loooong time. Delivery was very quick, about 3 weeks and we paid extra to have it brought inside and set up for us. We'll worth the extra charge! We've had the sectional for 9 months and we use it daily. Great couch...if you receive it. Honestly, I'm very frustrated, so bare with me. I am not a fan of online furniture orders, but after much research, I decided to try it out. Ordered a Napa sectional from poly and bark in June and checked the estimated shipping timelines to ensure its arrival prior to my in-laws' visit on July 14th Everything went smooth, at first. We received a call saying it would arrive on July 3rd. We were ecstatic! We put our old couch up for sale and literally sold it the evening of July 2nd. July 3rd happens, and there is no couch. We checked the shipping tracker, and it now says July 6th - July 14th. We were frustrated, but the worst case was July 14th, which would have still worked. July 6th, no couch, 7th same thing, the 8th I called to see if we were on track. We were assured it would arrive, the 9th no couch, 10th I followed up and received the same story, 11th, 12th, and finally today the 13th. Today, I checked my email to read the couch "should" not will but should arrive next week. They said this this week and said this last week. I am beyond pissed. This is honestly frustrating, to say the least. But I want to make some things clear. Poly and Bark sub contracts a 3rd party [in my case it was AM shipping] to deliver their furniture. This does not absolve them from responsibility, but the difference in interaction between Poly and Bark and the 3rd party is night and day. The customer service team, I worked primarily with Nina, worked with me every day to try to get this resolved with AM shipping. They checked in periodically with me and cc'd me on all correspondences to try to provide transparency throughout the process. I ended up canceling the order and going to my local West Elm to purchase one in a similar style. I did not want to interact with the shipping company any longer. My refund was issued immediately the following morning on July 14th, 2023. I can not speak on the quality of the product, and as such, this review is focused ONLY on the experience post online purchase. My rating might seem harsh, but they chose to use that shipping company and, therefore, are accountable for the issues that stem from contracting with them. Hope this helps. read more

I have just ordered my second leather sofa. I have searched online for the look, quality, style and price Poly and Bark offer and I can't find anything close. The service is quick--like 1 week and the 2 polite gentlemen are here on time, set it up with legs & cushions and take away the cardboard. It's been a nice seamless transaction both times. So this is a current developing situation. I've been eyeing the "natural" color Goa table for a short while only to see it is not in stock. Then suddenly the "Burnt-Umber" has shown up. I think it actually looks better than the Natural according to the photos. However when I received the table, it was covered in white residue or scuff marks. I spoke with customer service and they are telling me this is a natural finish on the table and that "Burnt Umber has a white/wash rustic finish". If that was in the description on the website and maybe even shown in photos I might believe that but I don't believe that to be the case. I'm hoping to be able to update this with a happy ending since I do see they are able to make some customer's happy. But I'm hoping they're not trying to sweep me under the rug... For $500 I expect better. UPDATE: So my wife talked to them, she seems to always do better in these situations lol. They've directed us to some more options including sending a replacement table to see if theres a better table. Grateful that they're working with us now. Stay tuned for the next updated. Final Update: They issued a refund on the table we returned in person at the outlet. And there Jonathan directed us to find the table that we liked and was very patient and helpful.
