The Boutique was PERFECT! Colleen was working that day and, again, helping ladies who came in looking for "just that little something". She greeted me and asked if I was looking for anything in particular and I told her a pretty dress for a reunion. They had SO MANY beautiful, bright colors and fabrics hitting my eyes from every corner of the store. Not that the racks were crammed, but the store is laid out beautifully, with displays and sections of different styles and curated pieces, making everything SOOO tempting. BUT, I needed JUST ONE DRESS. Colleen acknowledged she was working with a couple of ladies and invited me to look around and feel free to ask any questions. Quickly, my arms were filling with selections. I was so happy to see they still had a large selection of Summer items at the end of July, when other stores were already displaying Fall fashions. Colleen got me set up in a booth and the try outs began. This became such a FUN day of dress up! Normally, I find clothes shopping a drag, but this boutique has acquired a following of loyal shoppers and each lady in there was supportive and encouraging as we tried on and received/gave opinions about each other's selections. About an hour and 8 outfits later, Lisa arrived and joined in the "find this lady a dress" collaboration that was afoot. Both Colleen and Lisa were talking inventory and any other pieces they wanted to see me in. Each item was pretty special, but I kept coming back to one dress in particular that just made me feel happy and confident. EXACTLY what I needed! Ok, so yeah, that ONE DRESS turned into 4 items, much to Colleen's surprise. She never pressured me, or gushed praise, she gave her honest opinion, but thought I just wanted ONE dress. Well, what can I say? The prices are fair and I believe these to be well made items that will last for years with my care. My total came to ~$225 for the 4 beauties I brought home. In my nicely wrapped, reusable shopping bag was a cute little note, thanking me for my purchase and stating their return policy. I believe it was w/in 2 weeks with tags on or store credit if not. I was visiting the Farmers Market on Friday, the one by TGI Fridays, and there was a booth for Trendy Me Botique, and I wondered if the store was closed with a note on the door. I would strongly recommend adjusting your hours on Google when you are not open. I won't waste my time driving there again to find you closed.

For some context, my dress was bought as is from a sample sale. As someone who is is not very tall in height, the dress visibly needed hemming. The wonderful team of Luxury Alterations successfully and beautifully hemmed my dress to my liking without losing its integrity. Even with the inches taken off from the front of my dress, they were still able to allow a beautiful train in the back which looked beautiful as shown in the photos. Additionally, I also wanted to be able to move around during my wedding dance and reception. Marine suggested a 5 point bustle that allowed me to move around and dance comfortably throughout the night. And she did it beautifully without making my dress look frumpy. It was like wearing two dresses for the price of one. As a budget bride, I was worried about cost as many times the price of alterations is as much, if not more, than the price of the gown. Fortunately, I was quoted a very fair price that, to my delight, was less than the cost of my discounted dress. My wedding was 8 months ago but I still look at my dress with awe and I have Luxury Alterations to thank for it.

It was a double layer floor length evening gown. Top layer lace and a slip under layer, both had to be altered . The cost was $35 with Tax and all on credit card. The dress was ready within 5 business days. A very well done job I inspected the new seams and they were identical to the manufacturer. Very impressive work and I would highly recommend Youme's services to anyone, at least for altering dresses. Like most alteration stores they do not provide prices or even ball park estimates over the phone. I totally understand why, it's because there are many factors to consider when it comes to working with materials. The amount of fabric, lace might be fussier to work with, beaded or sequined fabrics are probably more tedious and time consuming, stretch fabric versus non stretch. This is exactly why we call professionals such as Youme. Spacious, air conditioned, comfortable, private changing room, and platform to stand on so they can properly measure your dress. They have a small shop dog, Coco, she's very sweet and barks occasionally, doesn't shed. Easy to find location, safe neighborhood, generally a quiet area. Expert tips: bring the shoes you are going to wear with that dress so they can measure accordingly. Call ahead of time for hours and availability. No appointments necessary.
