This shawty is 5'3" and I usually purchase pants in a short length with 27" inseam. My new hiking pants didn't come in a short length, therefore I Yelped "best alterations" and found Anahit. Called Anahit 1 hour before I intended on arriving, due to the business address listed, is also her home. When I arrived, Anahit greeted me at her front door. I entered through the backyard to the garage, where her sewing studio is. There is a small changing booth, if needed. I had her measure out a good pant length, wearing my hiking boots and Anahit let me know my pants will be ready in a couple hours. She texted me, when they were ready for pickup. For $25, I received both pants nicely hemmed. Free neighborhood parking in front of her home. Decent neighborhood, not sketchy at all. I felt comfortable. Anahit wore a COVID prevention mask and let me know she will be fully COVID vaccinated (good to know) the next day. She is also very experienced and detail oriented. I ordered these beautiful but complicated pants online and they were extremely long. I had to find a good tailor to fix it because I am 5'1" and these pants had zippers on the bottom and long straps on the side. Anahit completed the alteration in less than 2 days! Very nice wife and husband team. I found them here on Yelp and due to the high reviews I decided to give Anahit a shot. My daughter's dress needed to be cut and hemmed as it was too long. It was a beautiful delicate lavender dress covered in pearls. Anahit said she would be able to alter the dress for $75. Okay no problem! This dress was brand new and my daughter tried on the dress while there of course without incident. When we went to pickup the dress and my daughter tried it on, I noticed there was a snag in the front of the dress!!!!!! It was clear as day and wasn't there before. When I questioned Anahit, she acted surprised and said it must've already been there. I know that was untrue, but I was already stressed as we were preparing for my daughter's Sweet 16 so I paid her and let it go. The dress had some horizontal pleats ,if you will, and I was able to conceal the snag. And before you think that perhaps the dress was snagged before, it wasn't because I looked at that dress every which way when it was delivered and when she tried it on at home and at Anahit's residence! So I'm not sure if I'd return because of her dishonesty. Her work was fabulous as you would not have known the dress was altered at all. read more

When I initially bought this dress, it could not zip past my ribcage. It had a gap of a good two inches!!!! I took the dress to multiple alteration stores and they told me it was "too hard" and they didn't know where to open the hem from or find the same material. I even just asked if they can remove the padding and they said to "return the dress." I found Anahit who carefully examined the hems and immediately removed the padding on the spot. I was so happy that she able to even alleviate the problem. It still wasn't enough room for me (still two inch gap), and she found extra material from the bottom of the dress to add to the side. It looks like I bought it this way!!!! Not only is it professional and literally seamless, she was able to add to the design of the dress in the way she added the fabric. Anahit is one of those people that works from her heart and is a very clever woman. I loved working with her and want to thank her for finding a solution when other alteration places turned me away.
