I just moved to the area and tried Roles Cleaners because of the stellar reviews. I was VERY satisfied and have already been back with more items! The man at the front has remembered me since my first visit. Yesterday, he saw me park and was bringing up my sport coat as I was entering the door. In a sad twist of irony, I have forgotten his name, but not his face and kind, polite demeanor. The prices are more than fair (at least compared to what I paid at my regular spot in Sherman Oaks). It was $6.50 for pants (which they managed to get ink stains out of, NOT an easy task) and $10.50 for the sport coat. On top of that, despite never asking / paying for expedited service, my items have ALWAYS been ready at least 1 day earlier than quoted. They communicate very well via text, letting you know as soon as your item(s) are ready. Overall, I give them my highest recommendation. read more

I realized I needed to have my wedding veil pressed just a couple days before my wedding, they were able to help me while I was in a state of panic. I was in a desperate situation, as everyone else was not able to help me on the same day, so I was willing to pay however much it cost, but they even wanted to give me a discount for being a bride which I refused, but was so thoughtful of them. I am moving, but if I were local, I would gladly use them for any future dry cleaning needs, only wish I would've found them sooner! read more

So, you find a good thing sometimes. I don't write a lot these reports but I've benefited from the kindness and quality of others that I feel compelled to say a few words about Ophalia and Robert over at Roles Cleaners. If you don't know of 'em, they're tucked away close to you off of Valley Circle and Vanowen, just off the main drag. You likely wouldn't stumble on the shop unless you made a wrong turn. Parking is a bit limited but in truth, there is never much competition for space. There will be. This lovely couple exemplifies graciousness, courtesy, competence and conscientiousness. That's hard to find, in one piece. I found them when I'd had it with a couple of other local places who were generally uninterested in customer service. These kind folks are very much interested in customer service. Roles is where you go if you're the slightest bit, ah, tired of it elsewhere. You'll be delighted. I dropped off 2 uniform tops to be hemmed 1in in the sleeves and length. Due to their new covid schedule which is completely understandable (only open 3 or 4 days/ week) and my 12 hr shift conflicting schedule, I picked up my uniform 6 days after it was suppose to be ready. The owner tried to tell me it needed to be pressed , to please come back. When I said I didn't need it pressed, I asked to see it..turns out it wasn't even done. It didn't need to be pressed as he tried to lie to me about, it actually needed to be started and finished. I was asked to return 2 hrs later. To a finished job with one of my uniforms having some sort of brown burn mark in the center ( I assume from it being pressed). I should've known better and inspected it there but I was in a hurry having already to drive there twice. I overlooked the overpricing bc of covid needs, but there is just no excuse for bad service all around. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. read more

I love this place. I love this couple! I love supporting local mom and pop places. They are sweet and do a fantastic job. They had seen my husband a few times and they mentioned "his shirts look far too big on him. When you are ready to get them taken in-have him come in and we'll fix it for him". I came home and I told my hubby and he did take it to them a few days later. They fitted his shirts to him with enough give but not so much to be puffy (as it was before-worse-circus tent was before).... What came back was shirts that fit him and guess what-he looks 15 pounds thinner! I can't believe: 1. He listened to me 2. He took shirts to them and had them fixed 3. We have lived in the area for 13 years now. Over the years we have used many cleaners and for along time went to Fazio in Calabasas. One day I didn't feel like driving to calabasas for a suit stain and tried this small shop down the street. One visit was all it took. This is a small "mom & pop" shop that goes way beyond to keep customers happy. The kind of place that remembers you by name, offers to pick-up and deliver (without charge) and takes wonderful care of your garments. The only thing the don't do well is encourage their customers to spread the word. It is so pleasant to get this kind of service in our city. I had high expectations, as Roles was recommended. Unfortunately, their service fell incredibly short, and I wound up unable to wear a dress that I had brought in to be altered and cleaned for an important occasion. I was initially promised that it would be ready on a Tuesday. When I showed up on Tuesday, I was told that he forgot to take it to be cleaned, so it would be ready Wednesday. I came back Friday (giving them extra time) and was told to come back later in the afternoon, because it wasn't there. I showed up later YET AGAIN to pick up the dress, brought the dress home to try on only to find out that one of the straps was missing. I headed back to ask if it fallen anywhere in their store. I was told that Robert was out and they would contact me when he came back. I was called and told that, yes, it was found but at the plant, and that I could come by their store tomorrow to get it. I said that I would be out of town tomorrow for the event where I had wanted to wear the dress (clearly I couldn't wear it now). She never apologized, looked the least bothered, or offered anything to compensate for such poor service. Before he retired, my father was the owner of multiple dry cleaning establishments, so I am completely aware of what excellent service is. Roles is most certainly not. read more
