Khachik and Marine were the dream team for me. I brought in my wedding dress to have the bust taken in significantly and I knew it would be tough since my dress had quite a bit of boning. They did an amazing job! In addition to taking in my bust, they also hemmed my dress, added in a finger loop so I could "bustle" the dress at the end of the night, and made some alterations to my skirt including tightening the wait and removing buttons. Both of them are very kind and honest. I had some ideas for smaller alterations, and both of them gave their advice for each item I mentioned. I had multiple fittings, and each time the process felt collaborative which isn't something I have experienced with a lot of tailors. I never felt like they were trying to rush me, upsell me, or take advantage of me - on the contrary, my maid of honor brought a dress to be taken in and they advised her against it after pinning the dress to show her how the fabric would be affected with the alterations. Their prices are also very fair for the quality of the work and the time and attention they give you. I'm so glad I trusted them with my wedding dress and as a result I felt beautiful on my wedding day. One year later and I followed through with what I said in my original review - I came to get my wedding dress altered with Marine and Khach! It was so fun working with these two, and I would literally trust them with all of my alteration needs especially after trusting them with my wedding dress. I brought my dress in mid-October and needed it before we flew out for our Cabo wedding at the end of February. I had a total of 4 appointments - the first in October when I brought it in, one in January, and the last two (including pick up) in February. Alterations included shortening the dress, taking up the straps and hem, and taking in the bodice. The straps, slit, and hemming were pretty straight forward but the bodice.. that was tricky. Mostly because I kept asking to push back taking it in because I insisted I would lose more weight, haha. But Marine and her husband were so accommodating! We ended up doing the final bodice pinning on February 7th, and they were able to finish it within a week! I went in on February 14th for one last fitting and was able to take it home. The fit was PERFECT, like the dress was made for me! Oh - I also got my reception romper altered at the same time and I loved it! It was just a hem on the asymmetrical side, but it made all the difference! THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING! I will definitely be back! I purchased my bridal dress about 8 months before my wedding. By the time I took it to Marine and her husband (3 months before the wedding), I had already lost 12 lbs. As you could see from the attached pictures, they had to size it down quite significantly for me. On top of that, they also had to shorten my sleeves and dress length because I'm a petite girly haha The final dress fit like a glove on me, and I was extremely happy with the result. I now truly believe the choice of a tailor is just as crucial as the dress itself! On a side note, I had no idea what a bustle was until Marine educated me. She added a very sturdy 3-point American bustle for me, because I told her our first dance was a fast paced song. The bustle held up very well, and was effortless to convert from the regular train, just as she taught me.
