Shopping in Montebello, Los Angeles, California... Because there's no Kohl's in Hawaii, I usually visit and get a Dodgers shirt (if I'm in the correct area) or a Golden Knights shirt when I'm in Las Vegas, Nevada. This time, I couldn't find any LA Dodgers gear. I did look through the Clearance areas, but it seemed to be winter attire on sale... like sweaters and other long sleeved shirts. I asked a friendly employee and she said that I should go to a different location - like Downey - because this store doesn't have any Dodgers merchandise... awww... ok... I appreciated the free shared parking and convenient, clean restroom! Thank you! read more

I went into this store solely to return items to Amazon. The line was long when I arrived, but surprisingly, it moved pretty quickly thanks to a male employee with long hair who was very polite and professional. He did not waste time with small talk with any of the customers and only said, "Hi, is there anything else, and Have a good day". The line was long when I arrived, yet I was in and out of Kohl's within seven minutes. read more

Kohl's - Long line for Amazon returns - Men's Clothing Near Me - MONTEBELLO, California

I recently bought some simple and basic women's clothing from Kohl's online. I love shopping at Kohl's! Prices were great. Unfortunately, some of them didn't fit too well. I came to this Kohl's located at Montebello Plaza to see if they have the same color items in stock, but in a larger size. I usually wear women's large and was hoping to get extra large. Upon entry to this store, my first thought was... what a small Kohl's! Yeah, it's quite small compared to other Kohl's I have visited. Aisles are quite tight IMHO. Anyway, I walked up to the counter to inquiry about exchanges. A very hospitable and nice young lady by the name of Monique helped me check if they had the items + sizes in stock at this store. It was a very smart idea. I didn't have to scrounge around to look for them. Thanks so much Miss! Only 4 out of the 8 items were available at this store. A young man who also worked here directed me to the exact location of the clothing. Cool! He saved me even more time. Thank you Sir! I found the items and tried them on. Unfortunately, the new size didn't work out for 3 items. I will keep what I have. Luckily, the most important item worked out... it was a pair of Croft N Barrow printed pants. It was an even exchange. Transaction was easy peezy. Thank you Kohl's and your amazing team members! read more

The service was slower than I have ever dealt with. For amazon returns this is one of the worst locations. It seems like it's always someone in training - or they simply are extremely lackadaisical. read more

I went in for an Amazon return today and there was no one at the table. Was left waiting for about 10mins so I asked another employee to request someone at the table. A lady named Georgy returned from the back and then completely ignored me for a good 2 minutes, prepping her area, then I asked if she worked there and I have just been standing here for 10mins. Then she told me I was lying then told me that she didn't have to do the return because she doesn't work for Amazon but she works for Kohls and told me I can go to another Kohls. Very rude and disrespectful worker read more

Yikes. It looks like the clearance department of a dollar store. Messy. Merchandise piled. Took 20 min to get a pair of socks returned. read more

Amazing place amazing people I would recommend this place everyone is super nice and doing the best they can :)

Absolutely the worst kohls I have ever been to. The customer service is horrible. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. read more

I ordered sale pants, which were her big. I went to store to see if Khols would order the same pants at a smaller size with ssme discount- they said NO .. I cannot believe they would not honor this. Buyer beware.. read more

First time I receive horrible customer service. I had a gift card with 225 balance and the cashier told me it was insufficient for the 3 items I had that were way less than 100$. When i went to complain and show my receipt balance of my card she started shaking telling me she'll be back to check. She really tried to scam me thinking I wouldn't notice. This is for store #1555 and it happened around 1:30pm 10/22/25 read more

They've shortened the Amazon return hours. Super inconvenient when every time I come, there's a long line. Clearly the need is there. Now it's worse. read more

01/08/2021 I have never been to this location but I am sure it is during covid-19 is when someone is watching the front door greeting customers. I asked her where to go with my Amazon return. Amazon Returns Dropoff location near the front of the store to the left. Wait your turn 6-feet away until you are called up. Have your QR code ready from your e-mail for them to scan. Hand them the package and receive a receipt for the return plus $5 off on your next purchase inside the store. Restrooms are in the back of the store. This store almost feels like it used to be another retail store. The restrooms are clean like the other store locations. read more

Our experience at Kohl's is phenomenal bc of the real discount you can acquire. My example is my wife & I purchased @$180.00 & with additional coupons & rewards we had; WE paid @ $65.00 Brand new items & not seconds or returns. Imagine how much your purchase power can get you. Plus, all the employees are very pleasant & always willing to help. Basically, it's our "Go To" whether it's personal or gift purchase! We love it! All that's required is you sign up which takes a few minutes & you'll see your discounts right on the spot! Plus they carry name brands! Happy Holidays & Enjoy read more

This kohls is terrible. It's tiny, stuffed with crap, unorganized and the employees are rude. It's near my work so I came in to get an outfit for my son and I had to leave because it was so dirty and I felt claustrophobic. If you live near Whittier I highly recommend the whittwood kohls. read more

I come here strictly for their pants because they are comfortable for my age bracket. Have no problem with the store, the prices, or the selection, only the way the cashier made me feel like I was a criminal by checking to see if all my bills were counterfeit and taking forever doing it. I was so embarrassed. My total was about $120, and I didn't want to use my card cause I was trying to see less purchases on my card statement, and was using my emergency cash in the meantime. I wonder if it was because I was wearing black...and didn't have makeup on that made me look shady. I'm old. Thieves are young and fast. Why was I treated like one? The grueling part was when she lifted every 20 to the light, and using the counterfeit marker. I was a cashier back in the day, and I did the marker and checked for the strip on the down low so the customer wouldn't feel targeted or accused. I know its not her fault, but I left feeling terrible. I've never stole anything in my life. I know this is procedure, but it would be nice if she chatted with me to throw off my uncomfortable vibe. read more

I love returning my Amazon returns here. So fast and convenient and they always give you a $5 cash back coupon to use. Sometimes the coupons have a 20% off clearance on top of it. The workers has always been friendly here :) read more

I bought lots of nice sweaters for this cold weather, but I had to order mostly from online and pick up since it doesn't have the sizes I want. I wish they have cozier and thicker material for the pants though because it's colder than usual this year. read more

Went to this store to do an Amazon return. I also left a plastic delivery envelope in their recycle bin near the entrance when I noticed a few small cockroaches crawling on the box! I made my way to the Amazon return counter and found a few clothing items on sale to try on. As I was trying on one of the shirts, I saw a pretty big sized cockroach crawling along corner of the fitting room! This place must be infested with roaches! I quickly left the location! Even though I usually find a few good deals here, I doubt I will return -- not even to make an Amazon return! Management here needs to seriously fumigate this store to get rid of all the pests! Beware if your buying anything here. read more

**BE AWARE WHEN BUYING GIFT CARDS AT MONTEBELLO STORE**I purchased 2 gift cards at this store on 12/16/2022. An Amazon gift card and a kohl's gift card. $25 each. The kohl's gift card was for my mom as a Christmas gift. She tried using it at the Whittier location yesterday and was told it showed a $0.00 balance. I was with her and spoke with the manager. I had to call customer service today and explain the situation. Luckily I attached the receipt to the gift card and gave the rep all the info. The rep said the same day I purchased the gift card in Montebello it was used in Redlands California. I don't like to shop at the Kohl's in Montebello but I started to recently because it is convenient for me. I understand that this can happen at any store location But I am so upset. I don't want to shop at kohl's. read more

I went in to do an Amazon return today. The line was long wrapped around the corner to the back of the store. I waited patiently for my turn. I gave a female clerk, with tatoos all over her arm, a Khol's bar scanner to scan, like I always do. I didn't do anything differently compare with my previous visits. The scan went through, but she has to insist that I need the square bar code in order to process the scan for the return. She even told me that this Khol bar scan would not work. I insisted that I've been using this Khol bar all the time with no issue. By this time she was not happy that she has to scan the bar code that I gave her, reluctantly. She had such bad attitude and unprofessional customer service. I even thank her afterward, and she didn't even acknowledged my gratitude, so rude. read more

I like buying my work clothes here because they have a nice selection of comfortable clothes. The price is good especially with the coupons from Amazon returns and kohl's cash. We go to this location for all our returns. Very quick, organized, and consistent. read more

2.5 stars-- This Kohl's is smaller than average as previous reviewers have mentioned... but if you don't like plenty of options or the size of the department store, then I would recommend coming here. For a new store, it has yet to designate space for clearance items, only "sale items" -- aka full priced items that are frequently on sale anyway. (+): -Located inside a shopping plaza -- you can go to Best Buy, Albertsons, Ross, or eat at a buffet all in one place. (-): -Awkwardly placed dressing rooms. From what I saw, there were no stationary dressing rooms, just portable looking ones. The Alhambra store has tiles and this store looks like it was rushed to open quickly because their floors remind of Costco/Home Depot. Tip: I would most likely shop at Alhambra instead of this location just because of the lack of variety. I can imagine disappointed customers if they see an item they saw in an ad that can't be found at this particular store. To any Kohl's corporate management reading this-- maybe consider changing this location to an outlet as they have tried in NJ. It would be hard to compete with Ross nearby and Sears/Montebello mall a few miles away. I am actually quite surprise the San Gabriel location was closed last year and to see this hastily built afterward. read more

I went to this location to pick up a few things for a trip. I asked the associate to look up my kohl's card by using my driver license. My Florida license does not scan right away all the time. The associate asked me if my license was real. Why would I give a fake license? Then she proceeds to ask me about why I haven't gone to the dmv. I got my kohl's card with my Florida ID. I'm very confused about why I was asked a million questions. Also, I verified my address but then she declined the transaction and I had to call over a manager to verify my address for a third time. Do better Kohl's, I was racially profiled and you would think this wouldn't happen in a brown community. read more

New and Clean Kohls Store. I got some shoes here for $65. At first I did not buy it but Nike Shoes Dtore had same shoes for $85+ and went back to Kohls. The shoe floor worker was guy was nice. Even after some price confusion. I would like to thank him for his patience. Workers are good too and trying since it is a new store they are getting there. Plenty of parking and opens late on a Friday. They gave me a $10 coupon! All good here. My friend says he always shops at Kohls and now I will. Also people are more willing to write negative reviews since services are good they forget to write good reviews. So here is mine! All the shoppers I see there are in good moods. Same with me. read more

My first visit to this Kohl's and I will never come back. They should have thought it out better when they decided to put a Kohl's in this location. This Kohl's is tiny tiny tiny. Normally, I am very pleased with this store. Today, I was making some returns that I purchased online that did not fit and the cashier told me that there should be a limit on returns. I found it highly inappropriate because I have a right to return especially if it's new and unworn. read more

Store isn't as big as Alhambra so that's a downer. We came in for the soft opening and were surprised how many people showed up. Another thing that I wanted to point out was that once we walked into the store, we weren't greeted with a "hello, wecome to kohl's" with a friendly smile. We were actually greeted with a "do you want to apply for a Kohl's charge (their department store credit card) and save (%) off your purchase today?" One thing about sales is you don't scare away customers by offering them an incentive (in this case, a discount) before greeting them. We haven't even looked at anything, we just walked in and she immediately asked us if we wanted to apply for a credit card. Maybe for the grand opening event they could put an actual greeter in the front rather than an associate trying to rack up her quota for credit card sign ups. read more

This one is tiny. Not a lot of adult women sizes in intimates. A lot of items on the bottom hooks. I'm old, bending down for larger sizes is not my thing. A bit disorganized as well. But overall it was just tiny and felt weird. I say just go to a bigger one if you need to go to this one. read more
