Kohl's can't be beat for cheap clothing. Grant it, I mostly shop the clearance racks here, but with discounts up to 80% (even during non-sale weekends) I was able to pick up a lot of casual shirts and jeans for very little money. These were popular brand names like Urban Pipeline, Tony Hawk, Vans, etc. The men's section looked ok, but I didn't take a closer look. Besides men and women's clothing, they also have a shoe section, home appliances, bedding, and jewelry. My last trip, I got 5 items (shirts/shorts) for $8 apiece (after discount). I could skip lunch and get another shirt at these discounted prices! read more

I've been going here for years and never had a problem. Service- everyone greets and welcomes you when you walk which is very important. Ive been to one in santa ana thinking the staff would be the same but oh no they were following me around the store like I was gonna steal something. Ill rate them next Lol. But anyhow the Manager here at the Irvine store is nice, understanding and when I forgot my little 15% off coupon, he got it. The staff is great and very helpful. Even when Im with my kids Lol (all boys) I only choose this Khols! read more

I came in today to start my Christmas shopping (always do it early and have been a loyal member to khols) and I encountered an employee there named Nicole. When asking where certain items in the store were, she completely ignored me and when I asked again she was UNBELIEVABLY rude!!! So rude I can't believe she's in customer service. As I shopped I witnessed her being rude to multiple people I was even given looks by other shoppers at the sheer disbelief. The last straw Was when I heard her murmur a derogatory slur and as a black woman I will NEVER return to this store again. I will be reaching out to corporate about this as well. Avoid this store at all costs. read more

Staffs are friendly. I love that they sanitize the counter between customers. There is an Amazon return at this location and they will give you a coupon to shop when you bring in your return. Right now they have closed their fitting rooms. You have to purchase the clothes, try them at home and then return the ones that don't fit. It's inconvenient but thankfully this store is near me. read more

This is obviously no Bloomingdales, but compared to other Kohl's, this one is actually organized. I can find a shirt inside 5 minutes. Can't complain. read more

On 9/24 I called Kohl's for a password reset. They closed the card and said they needed to issue a new one. So instead of helping me with a password reset, they closed the card. I could not put my hand on it because it was in my husband's wallet, so they closed the card. I had $60 Kohl's Cash ready to use but I was told that I needed to wait for the new card. I made my payment on time. I waited for the card. It never came... The $60 Kohl's Cash that I had expired and they refused to re-issue it for me to use. Do you know how much you have to spend to get $60 Kohl's cash? A lot of merch. I called Kohl's today to state that I still didn't have my card and that my account went up $50, which means they didn't credit my account. The money is out of my account but no credit to my balance. I was told... wait for it... that they would have to re-issue my credit card. I asked if I had fees associated because I have not seen a statement. I have e-bill, so I have to log into my account, which nobody will help me do. So they keep taking my money, not crediting my account and tacking on interest and late fees! How is this legal??? Each time I call the rep starts off nice then you hear snickers in their voice. Like HA HA I'm going to really screw you. Well, I asked to have the card closed and if need me will take this to a higher lever than BBB. Not crediting a credit card balance when you are taking the consumers money is ILLEGAL!!!!! read more

Another store that I never heard about (it just looks and sounds like a bathroom fixture store) that sounded like it'd be a great bargain bin. Expecting Marshalls/Ross +1 just by looking at the sign. To my dismay, it seems that its main clientelle is in the 40+ range. Think Sears+Marshalls. No, Mervyns+Target+Ross. I was looking for some gray 511 Levis but they didnt have em. read more

If I could less than 1 star, I would. I have been on phone w customer service at least 10 times since LAST August, it is now mid February trying to get refund on a $633 purchase whereby ALL items have been confirmed since August as having been returned. Awful experience after 40 years of shopping Kohl's. Every time I call, I get a small credit on my card. They still owe me almost $300. Last call 14 days ago, I said I need THEM to call me instead of me going through all of this AGAIN. They said wait 7-10 days. They always say 7-10 days. NO call back yet. Customer service is in the toilet. I need to FLUSH. read more

I had a horrible experience there avoid this location if you have an exchanges to make. The HB store is much better FYI! The most incompetent manager named Anna I've ever experienced in my life. Rude service and long wait times not worth the visit. read more

Ashley at customer service was so nice when I went in yesterday. I was returning two pairs of shoes that I ordered online. I didn't like the one pair but for the other pair, she found the size I needed in the store. She compared the price that I paid to their current sale price to see if I should exchange or just return and re-buy. She was also helping other customers at the same time and seemed so capable and good at her job. Thanks, Ashley! read more

Amazing First Impression!!! This was my first time at this Kohl's location and also the first time in any Kohl's since the quarantine. I came to shop for but-cut jeans for a country wedding I'm attending (boots&jeans are the attire). When I felt rushed for time and with my lack of eye for style, WENDY came to the rescue. She helped me find the right jeans, the right shirt and even a matching tie to complete the look! I'm well pleased and I want to make sure she is acknowledged for this! read more

Parking here is the worst no matter what time of the year. The inside of the store is ok. It is not the worst Khols I have seen, but it could use more attention to detail. The lines always look long, but they go by really fast. read more

I have been shopping at this store since 2011 when we moved to Irvine and spent thousands of dollars. Basically almost everything in my home from shoes, clothing, jewelry, purses to mention few items are bought from this very store. We were always patient with them and never complaint of cashier lines that takes forever sometimes even though there were only few people waiting in line. I visited the store today with my three young children and my wife and after we left the store without buying anything because my wife was not able to find a particular shoes that she was looking for. After we left the store empty handed we were followed by their lost prevention guy who probably thought that we took something perhaps because of our dark skin tone. The guy approached our vehicle and visually inspected while basically almost touch our vehicle while also going around the car. We first thought that he was a mentally ill person and both I and my wife were uncomfortable. I open the window and asked if everything was okay and he said that he was watching for another party who stole dark sunglasses who owned the vehicle that was parked next to us and showed his badge. I though it was weird since the vehicle that he said belonged to the suspect was directly behind him and he was only focusing on our car. But then I remember that we also visited their sunglasses rack, but left without buying one since they had cheap glasses. The whole incident bother both I and my wife, so I end up going back to the store and asked for the on-duty supervisor. While I was explaining the situation to the supervisor; the lost prevention guy approached us and he would keep interrupt me and continue to say "I never accused you guys of anything" I told him to be a real man and apologize for his act and he would keep argue. I told the supervisor that we were very offended and will never return to their store. read more

This is my go-to department store in Irvine. I love that all promotions are (relatively) stackable. There's always some promo code to use, plus $10 off $50 Kohls cash offers, plus Kohls membership rewards, plus clearance items. I came in here yesterday and tried to check in but couldn't! WTF? I was IN the store. Okay... Just thought I'd get this out of the way. I used to adore Kohl's as if it were my own child. The store is so clean and inviting. It never looks like the latest Hurricane swept through it. There are some pretty good deals at times, such as yesterday. Right now some picture frames are buy 1, get 1 for 1/2 off. They do have really nice frames, too. They're not just the ones in the beat up boxes or so many fingerprints that you can't make out the fake family under the glass. Yes, Kohl's is pretty friendly on your wallet, but if you have one of those price scanner apps, you will realize that Kohl's ain't that cheap! For instance, my Keurig K-Cups were "on sale" for $10.99 (dropped down from the inflated price of $14.99). I thought I was getting a good deal, until I saw that I can get them for $9.99 - EVERY DAY - at this other store that's just a few blocks away. I say stick to buying stuff online if you possibly can. If you can't, do a price scan and realize that Kohl's is kinda evil. Despite this, the shopping experience is what boosts it up to 3-stars. Those "-mart" stores will never be as organized or even smell halfway as decent as Kohl's. read more

What a terrible experience here at the Kohl's in Irvine. The Laguna Niguel store called ahead and held a pair of sneakers under my daughters name. When I arrived at customer service (and I am using the term very loosely), I asked for the item. The associate's response was simply "Uh-uh. We don't got 'em. " She informed me that they might be at their "other Irvine store." I asked her to call them to double check and I received an annoyed eye roll and huff at the inconvenience of pulling out a three ring binder to look up the store number. "Nope. They aren't there." I checked quickly on Yelp on my phone to see that there isn't another Kohl's in Irvine so I'm glad I didn't leave looking for it. I won't use the young lady's name here on Yelp, but if anyone in management at Kohl's would like to contact me about this experience, I'll be happy to let them know who soured me from ever returning to their store. read more

This review is for the wonderful middle aged Indian lady behind the jewelry counter, I wish I had gotten her name!!! I came in looking for some earrings and she kindly and patiently helped me pick the perfect pair :) I paid and went to my car to put them on, as i was taking them out of the package, one of the long pieces that goes in your ear just snapped off, I went back into the store to see if they had another pair and again she very pleasantly helped me. She spent a good amount of time checking her back stock for another pair to ensure I left happy. Excellent service!!! I am so impressed and thankful for her attentiveness and she did it all with a smile on her face. Thank you! And I hope to learn her name on my next trip. read more

WORST customer service ever! My husband bought me work out clothes there for Christmas. I needed to exchange sizes and when I walked in the store the "manager" told me just to pick out what I wanted and then get in line. I went into dressing rooms filled with clothes and no assistance. Got in line, waited and then told I had to go to Customer Service because was item was an uneven exchange. There were 20 people in the cusotmer service line and the "manager" denied he had ever seen me and there was no other manager working that day. I would NEVER shop there - discount work out clothes?! Hardly - the pants were $45. read more

This Kohl's store in Irvine is friendly and polite. The manager here knows what customer service is all about. I made a suggestion to the assistant manager and she told me she would talk to the manager about it, and my suggestion was heard and implemented the next time I shopped. They really seem to appreciate thier customers. We all know there are great deals to be had at all the Kohl's stores, so it comes down to the way the employees and management treat the customers. The Irvine Kohl's store picked up where the Tustin Kohls dropped the ball. Thank you Kohl's Irvine! You are worth the trip! read more

I would normally give Kohl's a 4 or 5 star rating, but my past few visits have not been up to par. I really hate complaining about costumer service, but this place has been lacking it lately, and it makes me give them less stars than they really do diserve because I really do love Kohl's. I usually go to Kohl's every 2-3 months to browse their awesome sale racks and pick up a few clothing and/or household items for myself for dirt cheap. The past 3 times I've been to Kohl's I've purchased some clothing items for myself or family members. Most of Kohl's "higher end" clothing have those sensors on them so when you walk through the door to leave the sensor will trigger the alarm, making it go off if it's still on. You would think that the employee checking you out would check to see if the clothing item has a sensor on it, right?! WRONG...the past THREE times I've left the store with at least one clothing item that still had the sensor attached. If the darn thing worked right, the alarm would have sounded when I left and I would have taken care of it than. But nope, no alarm goes off....and I don't realize that the sensor is still on until I get home and I'm going through my purchases. By then I have to take about an hour of my day (or another day) and drive BACK to Kohl's to have them remove it (if you try to take it off yourself, it'll ruin the item)!!! Seriously....it's so frustrating!!! One of my shirts I bought today still has the sensor on it....hopefully one day this week I'll be able to drive back to Kohl's to get it removed (and I didn't even notice it was still attached to the shirt until after I washed it, thank god it didn't get ruined). Also, the past few times the dressing rooms have been so messy and employees have been a little rude to me!!! Kohl's, I really do love you and your amazing sales....but please have your employees step up their game....it gets frustrating having to drive back to the store when you really don't want to!!! read more

Wow! Never been to a kohl's before. What a rip off! Crazy expensive prices for very poor quality clothing. Get more value for your $$ and shop at Macy's. The quality is unbelievably better and the prices cheaper at Macy's! Got a few clothes for my baby and found it so much cheaper at Carters at tustin marketplace. I returned everything back to kohl's. I'll never shop at kohl's again, what a waste of my time. Hope I save you some time and $$. And btw the employees there are highly incompetent. I don't think they even have a high school education. read more

I walked into Kohl's on a Friday night only to be greeted by some gal recovering the clearance section with "We're closing in half an hour" EXCUSE ME? you don't greet a guest with that. Kohl's is about customer service. They're supposed to say "hi, how are you?" not telling someone what time they're closing with no smile. I felt unwelcome when I walked in. I said to the employee "yes, I'm only in to get a few things." Sheesh. And there was a big line. They're only supposed to have two to a line. read more

This place was wonderful! The staff was so friendly and helpful from start to finish. The Kohl's In Vegas is awful so I don't expect much whenever I go into any department store however my mind was changed today! Just friendly people and great service. I was reading the reviews from last month and sometimes I wonder what people expect during the holiday season? Yes the lines are long, Yes the lines will be long when you need to return things, Yes things get put on sales racks that are really not on sale! we have all done it we have all been impatient while standing in lines....everyone is tired....GET OVER IT!!!!!! This place is good for your basic clothing needs. If you're not brand-conscious (I admit that I am sometimes), this store is for you. Even that being said, you still can find some name brands although it's mostly athletic brands like Nike, Everlast, Vans, etc... But I'm at a point in my life where I feel like I don't have to have the designer label to impress ppl. Some items look just as good as expensive brands. It's how you wear it. This store won't force me to not go to Macy's, but it's a pleasant alternative if you're short on cash, but still want some new wordrobes. read more

I went shopping with my sister to use a gift card I got for my birthday. Come to find out that you aren't able to use the 30% off coupon unless you put it on your Kohl's charge card. I'm not one to spend a lot of money on clothes, but I still like to dress nice, and my wife prefers to be seen with someone who looks like he knows how to dress himself. Kohl's is the perfect answer to this dilemma. When it comes to good prices you can't beat the clearance racks at Kohl's. While they can be a chaotic mishmash of clothing, with no real organization at all, you can't beat the price on what are good looking clothes. I routinely find jeans for under $20, and I wear a hard size to find. For shirts I've paid as little as $6. And if you have one of their coupons or Kohl's cash, forget about it! It's like stealing! Don't go there if you're in a hurry, but if you've got the time they're hard to beat. I'm happy. My wife is happy. Life is good! read more

I've gone here a couple of times and don't find this Kohls to be extremely the best, but eh, it has what it has. What's great is that this place seems to be a bit more organized (aka, less inconsiderate people throwing crap on the floor), but I do question if the sales associate have more common sense that I would think. I came by and asked one of the shoe ladies how much a pair of shoes (on clearance) cost, and she told me that it's the one on the shoe. While you would think that's the best response, little did she know that clearance items also have an extra 20% off (she should have known... she works there and she sees the signs, doesn't she?). When I came up to the register, the price was lower (whoo hoo! Thank god I didn't take her word for it! I would have bought it anyways, but still.... I don't like wrong information!). I would definitely come back here to check out their shoes. I'm a shoe-fanatic and they just happen to have really good deals with shoes! (ex. Candies Gladiator Heels = 16-17 bucks out the door!
