I came in today on a mission to find white sneakers for a date night. I came prepared -- socks in my purse (because I'm normally a flip-flop girl), fully committed to comfort and ready to try things on. The shoe department was... lively. Shoes everywhere, clearance racks doing their own thing, sizes scattered in places they definitely did not belong. I tried on probably a dozen pairs and spent close to two hours searching. I fell hard for some black striped Adidas that absolutely did not love me back because my size was nowhere to be found. I was this close to panic-buying a pair I didn't even want just so I could leave -- texting photos to my husband and even asking ChatGPT for opinions -- when Brandon stepped in. We were chatting a bit and I mentioned I was heading to the Irvine Improv, which made the shoe hunt feel even more urgent. Brandon was holding it down in the shoe department all morning, and just as I was about to walk out, he casually comes up and says, "I found these." Went to Kohl's specifically to make an Amazon return and the setup was incredibly confusing. There was signage in the back of the store indicating "Amazon Returns," but no one was staffing that area. I walked around trying to figure it out and eventually noticed other customers with Amazon packages near the front, so I got in the main checkout line. There were four cashiers, and only some of them were handling Amazon returns -- with no signage or indication of who was doing what. When it was my turn, the cashier turned her light on but didn't say anything. I asked if she could process an Amazon return; she mumbled "yes." When I asked why there wasn't any signage to direct customers, she completely ignored me. The whole experience felt disorganized and unnecessarily frustrating. If Kohl's is going to continue offering Amazon returns, they really need to bring back a clearly designated, staffed return area or at least provide clear signage and basic communication. Wow, I'm not sure if it was a management or corporate decision to remodel the store, but I want to take my hat off for the change! It was our go-to store for our family for years, but we quit shopping there two years ago. It was so run down, and the employees were so miserable it was what I expect a second store experience to be like. We were worried they were running down the Sears path. Today we ate at the sushi place next store and decided to look in on our way by. We were so happy to see the change and bought a bunch of stuff. Because of this, the checkout lines have become unbearable 15 to 20 mins !! In my mind, this is a gross logistics error on Kohl's part. It is unacceptable and it is unsustainable for their customers. Kohl's always has a wide selection of men's dress shirts and attire, but the ties and shoes department is lacking. 10.5 must be a popular size.. they were out of almost everything in that size unfortunately. I had to settle for the least ugly pair. And the ties the selection was horrible, and the sizes were all slender ties. It would be nice to have a better variety of patterns/colors/thickness since they are 25$ each. The staff is nice...they really try to upsell.. which isn't their fault they are told to, but still nonetheless annoying. Clean store, but still over priced so I rarely go. I was shopping at Kohl's at July 2024, the cashier asked to enroll the membership with Koul's. The cashier confirmed no any fee for enrolling in membership at that moment. so I did. However, then later, I received phone calls and mail letters to urging me to pay extra fee that's more than $176.97 for payment I never applied for. I only bought shoes and socks which cost $101.54 and all paid. why have to pay double? This constitutes consumer fraud. When I left, there were like 20 people in line. I also needed to do a pickup. That was quick and easy. My kohls return was quick, as well. Kohl's saved the day for me yesterday! I was there last minute to buy a suit for an upcoming event and I went to FOUR different stores. I ended up getting the suit at Kohls and was happy and relieved after. Other stores I went to included: Macys at Westminster mall - NO HELP WHATSOEVER on a week night. All mismatched jackets and pants from various brands. Mostly "skinny" pants, which isn't the style I like. Everything was on sale, but couldn't find the same brand jacket color w/ the pants. Nordstrom Rack: Similar to Macy's with different styles and good prices but all mismatched and just thrown untogether. Men's Warehouse: Lot's of selection of suits and actual help from staff, but way more expensive. Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren jackets were like $300+ when the same ones were on sale at Macys for $150. Nothing was on sale at Men's Warehouse and at first I thought their jacket prices included the pants - which were also very expensive, but nope! and Lastly, Kohls: With a ton of suit selections, all organized by color and different brands and included jackets RIGHT NEXT TO THEIR matching pants. Like how a normal person would want to shop for a suit would look for. Also got the jacket and pants for 30% off and I got $40 in Kohl's cash to use for next time. Hallelujah!!! read more

I hate to say it, but the main reason I go to Kohl's is to return things I bought from Amazon. With that, they are great! I love it, even more, when I get a good coupon out of it and I might buy something. On this trip, I got $5 Kohl's Cash. So I bought a nice birthday card for my dad whose birthday is in August. Total cost? 1.08 with the coupon. I do like the fact they have Hallmark Cards since most of the Hallmark stores around me have gone out of business. Otherwise, Kohl's is hit and miss when it comes to other things. Their pricing is set up so you always need a coupon. This part isn't so nice. While I do have the app, I found it tricky to use in the store. I know some people who love Kohl's Cash, but I found it annoying when I have to back between a certain period. I don't always have time for that, and I don't always need something during the date they are valid, hence my visit that day when I earned the Kohl's Cash - I bought everything I needed! Still, I've found the checkers for the most part are friends, always ask if you want to open a Kohl's Credit Card, etc. They do their job as they are told. I mainly only have good things to say about this location, although I generally only visit the store to make returns for Amazon. I have purchased items online from kohls and picked up at this store without any issues, and from browsing around the prices and selection look good as well. The employees have been very nice and the store always looks organized (although it also never really seems too busy when I visit on the weekdays). It's great that kohls did a collaboration with Amazon to at least work out the returns, because it makes it really easy for people nearby (like myself) to go in store without a box and just hand over the item I need to return. Plenty of parking in the lot, nearby stores (like Albertsons) makes for an easy trip to run some errands, and nice associates makes for a good store. read more

This is not a bad store location. It is pretty chill. the staff that works here is kind of helpful. Except the one guy who works at the front. He seem to have a bad attitude every time I come in. But outside of that guy the rest of the staff is cool. The young ladies that work in the back are super awesome. I wish they worked in the front so I can deal with them a lot more than I deal with the guy in the front. Kohls is a bit like Michael's, in that they constantly have sales, coupons, and Kohl's cash etc, all very cleverly designed to make you spend your money there...and damnit, it works everytime. I go in, spend money and then get more money to spend, so I go in and spend more money. But I also hate this about them, you just never know whether you are getting the best price. I like to go by the 25% rule, if it's not at least 25% off, you're being ripped off. It's pretty much always empty anytime I come in to shop which is good for me. The cashiers can be a little unhelpful when it comes to coupons, and they don't always ask you for your Kohls rewards number, which means a phone call to get your points. Urgh. read more

Use to love Kohl's but it's shocking to me how right next door at Old Navy you can witness how a great retail manager runs their business versus how Kohl's manager is running their business. What use to feel like a bargain feels like buying the same you could find at target at premium prices. When your store is busy have staff stop what they are doing and process transactions then go back to restocking or whatever they claim to be doing when standing around. This review is for Amazon returns. I've been returning stuff here for a while, but forgot to review. They have a parking space for you...unless some knucklehead in a Tesla decides to park there. Now granted, they may have returned Amazon items then decided to shop afterwards. But the car was still there after I returned my stuff. Make sure you started your return with Amazon and have the app open on your phone, so they can scan the item you're returning. Walk back to the customer service area and you will see a sign specifically for Amazon returns. You don't even need the packaging it came in. A nice Kohl's employee will scan and bag your return, give you a receipt and you're dunzo! I just wish I could give them all my dang Amazon boxes, too! read more

Understaffed Amazon return section! I've come here twice in the last two weeks to return something. First time, there was literally 20 people in line for a return and one person trying to make all the returns. Took 25 minutes for a 2 minute return. Second time I go there's 6 customers in line, one staff member right there but not processing returns. Get your act together. There needs to be 1-2 people staffing at any time and it should be easy or encouraged to get back up. read more

I've been a customer of Kohls for many years, both on-line and in the stores, however, I'm frustrated as they recently told me because I've been such a good customer for so long they were waiving "shipping fees" for me until the end of 2023. However, it showed free shipping only once, and never again. No matter if you buy a set of wash clothes for $8.00, your shipping cost is $8.95. I puchase so much, that I can usually get shipping waived due to large purchases, but not for small purchases as offered. This was my last shopping on-line with this company. read more

Beware how you pay for your purchases. If you use PayPal on line Kohl's does not refund to the original payment method that is on file with PayPal. For most of this year i have stayed away from shopping at B&M stores and relied on online shopping with free shipping but as the holiday season is upon us, its not always easy to do as quantities on certain items are limited. In recent weeks i have stopped by this particular location to pick up a few black friday/cyber monday deals. One of the things i noticed is that there is a particular gentleman at the front of the store greeting customers and he does it in a very friendly and genuine way. In time like these where everyone is just tired and mentally drained from 2020, you really start to appreciate these little things. Overall i find the store to be well organized and clean and typically there is plenty of people at the registers to get you checked out quickly. I also like the fact that the employees and customers are separated by shields which you dont necessarily find in all retail locations. read more

I shopped at the Kohl's Store on Jeffrey Rd. in Irvine. This was the first time I have shopped at this store, it has two stories and it was a Mervyns Store before. The staff at this location were very helpful. I was able to find what I was looking for at a great price. My wife Diana was with me so it made my shopping easy for me. I would try on the clothes and she would se if the fit and the look was good for me to ware. This is the clothes I was to ware at our trip to L.A. The cashier was nice and friendly and made sure all was placed in bags. Diana bought all the items for me which made me fill so special and very happy guy. The store is very well stocked, items are neatly stacked, the staff are very courteous and helpful every.single.time that I get to visit. Selections are enormous. I love that Kohl's make it very convenient and comfortable for customers to come in and find something for any occasion. There's a number of things going on with location; however some of them are specifically related to covid restrictions. This store has major ADA issues -- in that they are not accessible easily for anyone with physical disabilities or difficulty walking, etc. They only have 2 handicap spaces for a massive store, and then, they've recently CLOSED their handicap accessible entrance, meaning If you're a guest with a disability you are on your own. Apparently this is a known issue they continue to ignore, which is frankly a little surprising since you'd think they'd want to ensure guests of all situations could shop. Sadly they refuse to handle these major and also kind you, illegal, accessibility issues. Take to the subject of customer service and we move to an okay time interacting with normal retail staff. They did sell me something that was literally a stolen item with a sealed box and handled it well, but how are they not even checking stock? I'm also concerned about their level of serious concern over health and safety relating to covid. I think closing an ADA handicap entrance is the WORST thing you can do in an excuse to make it safer. My experience here wasn't what i expected. I went to a register and this woman that had name tag something like Michelle and a blonde balayage was very impolite and unprofessional. I went up to the register and said hi in a very nice matter but instead of greeting me she looked at my items and said "is that all". Another day, I went to another department of the store to buy myself makeup and she was working there and recognized me and had the same tone.
