I contacted Kohler to source a couple of new toilets for our home. Getting a little older we were seeking a couple of product upgrades such as powerful flush and a taller unit. Both of these upgrades were available; the sales person was helpful and so we went with Kohler rather than a big box store. Kohler coordinated installation with our plumber (Biggs Plumbing). 0/5 stars purchasing items from this showroom. My husband and I ordered a few thousand dollars worth of items from a sales associate that mostly all had to be shipped in. She gave us the estimated shipping time and told us she would be in contact when they arrived. We never once received ANY correspondence on items being available for pickup. Instead, we had to constantly call and ask. It was incredibly difficult to even reach our associate. Other employees didn't want to help. Most lead times were wrong. We are just now learning our last item is available to pick up at the warehouse-it was ordered in July of last year and no one even let us know. I understand things are crazy right now, and lead times change, but at least have the decency to update your customers. Pro tip: look at the items in person at the showroom, and order them off Kohler's website. You'll receive them faster with far less hassle. read more

I walked into this store just to look around for a new kitchen faucet and soap dispenser. I want to emphasize that I meant to just look around because I know that pretty much everything everywhere is backordered. I happened to ask if the particular items I wanted were in stock and by luck, they were in stock- I was so pleased! Karen took the time to help me find the items and ordered them right then and there. Minutes later, the items were ready to pickup at the Kohler Distribution Center/Will Call. Went in to get a quote on sinks and bathtub. Emailed measurements requested. Never heard back from sales lady. I called and left a message, never a return phone call. Emailed sales lady . Nothing. Called her manager to alert her she has lost me as a customer. She asked for my business back and was very apologetic but it had been months and I had already had my bathroom remodeled. Needed two lighted mirrors for an upstairs bathroom remodel. Wandered into Kohler (as had been there before just looking and remembered how cool it was) and got help from Caitlyn. Great help. We ended up buying two lighted Robern brand mirrors (they area made by Kohler). Caitlyn was superb in helping us narrow down the size and the lighting specs on the mirror. Two weeks later, they were in and I picked them up from their delightful warehouse in North Austin near Burnet and Rundberg. Husband easily installed them as they have "plug in's" in the back so nothing overly complicated other than running the wire down the wall to create the plug in on the wall side. They look great, as you can see, although look better in person i should add. I also should note that Caitlyn was great on the advice on the light fixture for the ceiling .. in terms of lumens etc. So the two sets of lights (mirrors from Kohler store) and ceiling fixture (from somewhere else) do not conflict but actually really do a nice job of balancing each other - style wise and lighting wise. Great experience overall. I should say that my desire to wander into the local Austin Kohler store was heavily influenced by my visit to Kohler Wisconsin this summer on a golf trip. There is the flagship design center store in Kohler and just walking through it makes you want to redo every bathroom and kitchen within a 100 mile radius! read more

The overall experience has been disappointing. We remodeled three baths so the purchase was reasonable in terms of dollar value. One of the order was incorrect, which was rectified. In some cases, I had to go pick up the items myself which means multiple trips to the warehouse. The returns are a mess because they need to be returned at the warehouse. Then there is 25% restocking fees for even unopened items. In our case, it was a simple unopened knobs which were to be returned. The warehouse did not accept them on two occasions and then gave a later date. Finally convinced these folks to accept the knobs at the store. Then the refund itself I had to chase multiple times because they kept dropping the ball. There appears to be no process and the entire experience is lacking in several aspects. Try to find another store with better service if you want to buy Kohler. read more

I recently completed a master bath remodel and I am so happy with the results. I had no idea what I was doing or even what I needed to shop for when I came to Kohler. Courtney met me at the door and listened to what I was dreaming about for my bathroom (I also showed her some Pinterest pictures). She did an awesome job of walking me thru the showroom, and allowing me to decide on the fixtures I liked best. By the time we were finished talking, most of the decisions were made. We only had to tweak the final order just a bit (due to size constraints). I love how my bathroom turned out. It looks amazing. I spent over $5K on outfitting 2 showers and when I called to ask a question to the guy who specified and sold me the items the woman who answered the phone kept on pushing me to call their support line. I said no thanks and that I wanted to speak to the guy and ask he call me back and she said OK but he never did. He was also wrong about being able to replace the old valve from the existing hole in the shower. Two different plumbers showed me how that's impossible and you need to punch a hole in the wall on the other side of the shower. I'm trusting the quality of Kohler parts are better than their poor service. You'd expect when you're buying super expensive high end components you'd get commensurate service but not from this store. read more

This place is terrible! My girlfriend and I are currently remodeling her house,and we waited over a week for the fixtures to arrive and they never came. This is really bad for a store that is high end like this. Shame on you Kohler! Do not shop here, they keep all their inventory at a warehouse that has shipping delays and they charge extra to ship to your house. They will make you go pick it up. I would never buy from here again. I was promised delivery in 10 Days, twenty day later it was delivered 20 days later. It is prime on Amazon so I can have in two days. Second I ordered a four part shower and they only shipped three parts. Then I could get the missing part from Amazon or Lowe's instead of waiting two more weeks to find out they want to charge me a 25% restocking fee for a product I did not receive. The customer service is terrible and if you ask to speak to a manager there is no one to actually speak with. read more
