The many styles are great to see in person, and there are some amazing choices including glossy cabinets that open upwards like gull-wing doors on a car. And some of the tiles are incredibly realistic in their mimicry of expensive marble or other stone. Of course there are samples of real stone from brands like Cambria and there are displays of handles and pulls for every style. It's good to have options and this is a welcome addition to north Austin!

Antonio and his team made our vision come true. Starting with Anna who drew up the schematics and was very communicative and professional every step of the project. Antonio's idea of the shape of our breakfast bar done in quartz was perfect for our space. The bar has a waterfall at each end and gives more seating than we thought possible. The porcelain island was extend in length by 16" to accommodate 6 to 8 seats. all the counters and backsplashes were done in porcelain to give that exquisite look. They added a shelf wrapped in porcelain that is flushed with the cabinet. Below they extended the countertop and add a waterfall leaving a space for the wine cooler They also applied the porcelain around the windows from ceiling to the baseboards and added crown molding to finish the look. Eduardo and his team of installers were very professional, courteous, thoughtful, respectful and diligent. We are so very grateful and pleased with Legacy. The first red flag for me was when you texted and asked me if I brought my checkbook before i ever arrived or agreed to hire you. I felt like the pricing on your website wasn't honest and it was a bait and switch. You advertise $38 sq foot installed and then on your quote you have required add ons that aren't optional making your price not much different than anyone else. When I came in to get kitchen counter tops to sell my house you switched gears to try and make it a bigger up sell for bathroom countertops before even EARNING my business for the kitchen job. I was for sure hiring someone to replace the kitchen counters and it would have been better to get that business and then after blowing it out of the park made a deal to do the bathrooms. Your pricing model of advertise a low price to get traffic and then switch it up at the quote gave me a funny feeling. I was still prepared to go ahead and pull the trigger despite the things mentioned above. Until you started asking me if I routinely carried around thousands of dollars in cash and made comments about how much money I must have in regards to my truck. You also made a comment about why you didn't accept credit cards yesterday which was "people use credit cards so they can get their money back after you complete the job" which was the enough red flags for me to go ahead and go through with them. Had jobs been done satisfactory credit card companies don't just reverse charges just because. The company I went with was premier stone and their ETHNICITY WAS NOT a qualifying factor. They made it a very simple process and didn't make me feel that I would regret hiring them after the fact. They came to the house to do measuring and provided a quote without any strings attached. You wanted me to give you a 60% deposit before even coming out to measure to ensure the measurements were correct. And lastly your last text reassured me that I made the right decision for this job and for the next job when I redo my new house.

We received a quote by the end of the day and waited a few weeks for actual measurements of our counter and backsplash space for replacement. Waited another few weeks to have them start demo on a Tuesday to disconnect stove, water, sink and dishwasher, and waited til Friday for installation of counters. Was originally planned for Thursday but due to miscommunication I wasted a full Thursday waiting to find out no one was coming. Came the following week to do backsplash and complete the job. For future reference, I would get an estimated timeframe from start to finish. Scheduling and communication seemed to lack and had difficulty trying to make my personal plans around them so I basically couldn't plan ahead for anything for 1 1/2 weeks. When I mentioned this to my sales associate he was very specific of a 3-4 day start/finish that was never mentioned to us, nor estimated in our contract. Well, we were way over their timeframe based on the wait time of scheduling. Since we had to go without sink water since Tuesday, a plumber came out Saturday to reconnect sink, stove and dishwasher for the weekend until completion the following week. I feel that the daily teams did a great job however I feel that my associate person could have given everything a thorough inspection, especially on completion day. Pictures and admiration does not pass as a full inspection. We ended up not having silicone caulk between the counters and backsplash therefore the grout was cracking, there were some quartz blemishes that needed touch up, electrical outlets were having problems, etc. and I had to make my own punch list for followup which again was not reinspected by my associate. So for over a two week period the job from start to finish was complete. I ended up caulking the counter to backsplash since nothing was scheduled, it was always next week.....not a scheduled day. I surrendered. Before this begun, full payment was done therefore I felt that they were done with us and left it at that. I still gave them 4 stars being that 90% of the job was done good by the assigned teams.

The project involved figuring out how to best fit in with the existing features of the room (high ceiling, big window, decorative columns, wrapping around corners etc). The design and final build quality was excellent -- and less than half the cost of the pre-made shelving design bids. I had thought that custom built-ins would be more expensive, and they were much cheaper! I'd use them again in a hot second. Per communications -- I had no problems -- keep in mind that they are a working shop and don't have full-time customer service people sitting by the phone all day long. The one other fyi is that they do the cabinetry, not the cabinet painting, so you need to arrange the painting as a second step. (Even with the cost of painting, my project is still thousands cheaper than the pre-made stuff that I had gotten a bid for.)

When building our house, we balked at the price quote our builder provided for our custom built cabinetry. So we decided to head out on our own and try to find better work AND a better price. The first guy we found gave us an identical quote and had no real samples to show us... sooo that was big no. We were beginning to wonder if we should just go with the one that our contractor had recommended. But we found distinctive wood crafts (by googling, i think) and their quote came in at about 70% of the initial number! Of course we thought they must be shoddy, right? WRONG! Their work is top notch. We visited the AIA Center for Architecture to see their work. Pretty darn close to perfection. We were sold, and happily so. Not only is the work precise, perfectly functional, and beautiful to look at, it is incredibly sturdy! My kitchen drawers glide effortlessly, even though they've held a couple of large cast iron dutch oven. Those pots are HEAVY!! Sonny did a great job installing, and made the return trip necessary to fine tune everything. He might come across as gruff at times, but who doesn't? He's a good man who's great at what he does. Nine months later, we are still as much in love with our cabinetry as we were the day we moved in. *if you do visit them at the shop, don't worry! it might be in a bit of a disarray, but this is no reflection on their professionalism, promptness, precision, or exquisite attention to detail.

We stumbled on them by a Google search, and just showed up at their fabrication location. Even though we didn't have an appointment, Carlye answered our questions, and was very helpful. He headed up the project for us with Sharon's help, and they went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us. They came twice to make sure their templates were correct (we changed a measurement on an eating area overhang), and had amazing communication throughout the entire process. Their crew arrived on time, were efficient, and cleaned up after they were done. On top of this, they beat other bids on price by several hundred to a couple thousand dollars! When we do our next project, we won't hesitate to call them again!
