Personally I liked this place but not all the time. The service is fine, however when I got my check, one of the waiters tried to force me to tip. They had me sign the receipt like usual, and she was waiting a bit longer and I wasn't sure what for, then she told me "tip me". I looked up at her and said I am not obligated to tip you miss, I'm sorry. I came alone and I usually would tip but not when I'm asked to tip. This was about my 5th time eating here over the years. I took my daughter and she didn't like her selection of rice and orange chicken. I noticed the section is the worst it's ever been. Most of the normal stuff you expect at a Chinese buffet, were not there. The place has really gone downhill. My daughter even got fruit for desert and spit the orange out saying it was too sour. I usually am inside a buffet for at least 30 minutes.. But not this time. I was paying my $26 in probably around 12-13 minutes after being seated. I will never return. Great lunch price at $11.95 for well-stocked buffet. There were five rows of hot food at the far end. Everything looked fresh. Their fried wontons had great flavor. My family and I keep coming back to Kobe Sushi Buffet because of the all you can eat sushi and per request of my daughter and husband lol! I like the sushi boats and being able to try an assortment of sushi. You also have the choice to order specific rolls off their menu and it is all you can eat! BUT, my only gripe about this place is that every sushi roll taste the same, probably because almost every sushi roll except sashimi has imitation crab in it. Don't get me wrong, it taste good but there is just not a whole lot of variety as far as sushi is concerned. As for the rest of the buffet options, it is your typical Chinese buffet with the option of the Mongolian BBQ (that hardly gets used). My suggestion is to go either Fridays or Saturdays because it seems to be the days that their food is fresh especially the snow crab. Do not go on Sunday because for some reason this is the only day that they charge $5.00 extra for the sashimi combo, every other day it's all you can eat and they don't charge extra. Customer service is good! The staff is very friendly. We loved their sushi and it was definitely a great value, considering we got our sushi fix and didn't even go over $50 for two people like we normally do at a sushi bar. I feel like this is a place you stop at maybe once or twice for the novelty of eating sushi from little floating boats--as long as you're not too particular about your sushi. If you love white rice, krab-with-a-k, and heavy-handed mayo-based drizzles on your sushi, you'd definitely enjoy eating sushi here. I realize I'm in the minority but I would've definitely appreciated some sashimi options on the boats. Service was on par with the general consensus--it's not very good. We waited a long time for drinks (and subsequent refills of water and iced tea) and chopsticks. We arrived later in the evening for dinner and while there was steady turnover, it didn't feel busy enough to justify the wait times for drinks and utensils. I also felt rushed to give up our seats at the bar as there were seats open to the left and right of us, but a larger party of four had arrived just as we were waiting on our check. My favorite is the volcano roll but for some reason, if you order the actual roll from the bar menu, it doesn't taste as good as the plate with the two pieces on it. I think they may use a different sauce or something, so I just wait for the boat to come around and it's worth the wait lol The hot food selection isn't that bad either, but I'm really just there for the sushi. It's kind of hard to find the way the gps tells you to get there, but go behind the cvs and it's down that way. The environment inside is very nice and looks authentic. The buffet was pretty good my husband only ate from the buffet and he said he liked it. The sushi was okay. Not as good as a regular sushi restaurant which is kind of to be expected, but I think it just needed a little more flavor. I would go back tho you just have to find the roll you like. A noble attempt at a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, but lacks the conviction to go all-in on Japanese cuisine. The restaurant has a number of seats at the 'sushi bar' that sit in front of a flowing stream of water pushing a number of small wooden boats along. The sushi bar also encloses the 5-6 sushi chefs working to keep the boats fully stocked. At the back there is a Mongolian grill and about 6 buffets set up. If the sushi bar seats are full or your party is too large, you can take a seat at any of the tables in the room, but to get anything from the boats you'd need to stand at the end of the line and wait for them to come to you instead of picking things up as they pass. The sushi itself is forgettable and can be summed up as 'variations of a theme'. If you have someone squeamish about 'raw fish' then rest assured there is very little of that served. The only raw fish I saw over the course of 3 hours was salmon, a few pieces of mackerel, and some squid. Everything else consists of California Rolls with different sauces, shrimp tempura rolls, seaweed rolls, and what I think are krab (that's crab with a k) salad rolls. There was also one instance of an unagi (that's grilled eel) and avocado roll which was probably the best thing on the line, but it only appeared once and was quickly picked up by people seated at the bar. If you don't like what's on the boats then you can also order special rolls from the chefs. However, you would have to be pretty familiar with what you're ordering because they do not provide a menu or list of things you can order in such a fashion. Doing so will also take up the time of the chefs and hampers their ability to keep the boats stocked. At one point a group next to us ordered 3 rolls and as a result the chefs couldn't make anything for the boats for a good 10 minutes so the entire bar was empty for a long period of time. The buffet is a disgrace and not even worth a mention. If you aren't here for the sushi then you may as well go somewhere else for how bad the food on the buffets are. The food is divided up in an attempt to cater to a wide audience and offers appetizers (fried finger foods), Italian, American, and Chinese. Shockingly, there was no actual Japanese food offered at the buffets except for some pretty atrocious soup that I think was supposed to be miso. The Italian and American looked and tasted like something you would get from a frozen diner and the Chinese at Panda Express is better than the stuff on the buffet. If you are familiar with sushi and want to eat a lot at a discount price, this is a decent offering. If you are not familiar with sushi and looking to experience it, then go to an actual sushi restaurant and get your feet wet. If you don't like sushi then avoid this at all cost. The price is only worth it if you are looking for quantity over quality. Though it would be possible to continuously order special rolls from the chefs to make the visit worth the price, you would garner the ire of everyone in the place for monopolizing the chefs and keeping the boats empty. read more

Most of the rolls are Cali rolls with imitation crab meat and different sauces or fish, or other stuff on top. This is a fun, value restaurant that is a blast to munch on mediocre food at. Perfect venue for children! Did I mention that the bill for the three of us was only 17?! We spend more than that at McDonalds! They charge the child's age, and so the kids get fruit, rice, and jello from the buffet, and then they also get to try anything that looks good as it floats by! After all of that, you can hype them all up with the desserts and ice cream, and then walk across the parking lot to Rockin Jump for a fun way to burn off all of those calories, and energy, and tire the little people out to insure a really great night for you and the spouse!
