Typically I enjoy New Holland.Friendly staff & usually good food.Upon my recent visit I was…read moresomewhat confused by my experience.I ordered a sandwich with fries ( which ideally would be eaten TOGETHER). When my Food arrived I requested to have my fries remade since they were NOT HOT & had most likely been sitting under a light ( is my guess ) for a while. After 25 minutes fresh fries did arrive but as you might imagine now my sandwich was COLD.I asked my waitress ( who was lovely in every way!!!! ) to please send a manager over so I could express my frustration. The manager was apologetic & comped my food - but fun fact,I now had a cold sandwich with hot fries. Literally one was switched for the other. Although I appreciate the slight concern, it would have been nice to offer me an altogether HOT meal complete with everything HOT at the same time.Am I asking too much? I didn't get a meal that day- just some hot fries.....& actually the thought of this still annoys me. Please consider the entire meal & remember,I came to EAT not "negotiate " 1/2 of a HOT meal. SO ANNOYING!!!!!!! Do better New Holland,Please . P.S. An interesting footnote to this review is that New Holland Brewing didn't even care enough to acknowledge this or respond

Because of her caring attitude, I have bumped up my rating from 3 stars to 4. The atmosphere and vibe is really fun with funky artwork and bright colors everywhere. It's a little noisy but not uncomfortably so, it feels maybe more lively than noisy. The menu was good and varied and I think you'd be hard-pressed not to find something for everyone in your group. We were a group of four and split an appetizer sampler. I enjoyed a local pilsner with my meal as the beer menu was good with a lot to choose from. Our server unfortunately was horrible and developed an attitude with us during our meal when we apparently had the audacity to ask for our waters to be refilled and one of our party received the wrong food item and asked for the one she ordered. After that, the server was snippy and short with us which was a shame on both parts because our experience was hampered and her tip reflected that. The food in general was good but not excellent. I would have given the place 4 stars for the logo (awesome), the vibe and the food but the server knocked a star off. Still worth a visit if you're in Holland especially if you're with a group with varied tastes and picky eaters.

The menu is very robust with a balance of flavor fusion and fan favs. The Bacon Jam Session was fantastic, and I highly recommend this to a friend. The peanut butter aioli ties the bacon jam together nicely. The buffalo Mac was pretty good, but the truffle fries were a highlight. The seasoning really made the meal. The service was not stellar. We were seated outside and our server made very minimal effort to come out and see us. She was quickly rushing off before we could ask a question or make a request. I felt like we must have been a bother at 8:00 pm on a Friday.

Truly one of the best places we ate while in town. How good? We went three times. The pizza is out of this world. They know what they're doing. The beer? Also a 10/10. So many options that really set them apart. Each time we went the folks behind the bar and out at tables were kind and really on it. Finally, the outside area is a gem. He then proceeded to take everyone else's food order, even though they sat after us, prior to come back to take ours. We finally ordered and they pizza came out. Couple points in the pizza, it was good mind you but each topping is $2.50. If I get bacon on a pizza I'm expecting more than a sparse sprinkling of bacon bits on my pizza for that amount. If you order ham on you pizza they provide a good amount but the pieces of game are pretty large and tend to come off as part of the initial bite. They have a food runner that is delivering the pizzas so we didn't interact with the waiter again, no check in, no asking if we wanted another round of drinks. Multiple attempts to flag him down went ignored, I finally grabbed my own to go box for the left overs. I was finally able to get his attention after he made five trips to fill up a water cooler so that we could pay. Food & Drinks great. Service was dreadful.

Bowerman's on 8th is a love letter to the humble blueberry, written in the language of warm lattes, fresh pastries, and shelves overflowing with jars that seem to bottle summer itself. As someone with a dairy allergy, coffee shops can sometimes feel like places built for everyone else. But here there was kindness in the details--different milk options, thoughtful choices, and the feeling that everyone should be able to enjoy a good cup of coffee. Traveling from out of state, this was one of the places I circled on my map, hoping reality would match the stories. Somehow, it was even better. The blueberry latte was the kind of drink that slows time. Bright and refreshing, sweet without trying too hard, tasting like a morning walk through a Michigan orchard after the rain. Around me were cases filled with treats and shelves stacked with jams, syrups, and every blueberry creation imaginable, each one carrying a little piece of the region's soul. There is something beautiful about a place that chooses one simple thing and perfects it. Bowerman's does not merely sell coffee--it celebrates harvests, local traditions, and the quiet joy of gathering around a table. You leave with a warm cup in your hands, a bag of blueberry treasures under your arm and a feeling of satisfaction. Some places are worth the drive. Some are worth the hype. Bowerman's on 8th is both.
