Went in here yesterday as I was in Zeeland for work and decided to walk around downtown to find a lunch spot and happened upon this place. Bottom line, absolute gem of an establishment. I met the owner and chatted with him for a while... it was very cool to hear the story of how him and his wife started the place, while trying their beer which was very good. The quesadilla I got was also excellent. The bar area is a bit small but definitely warm and a place that makes you wanna hang for a while. Also lots of big community tables and lots of good grab and go options including in the wine and beer category. I'll definitely be back soon! read more

It's a very cool atmosphere and right downtown Zeeland. This place is hardly ever open. I was excited to see it was open tonight so I stopped. I asked for a taste of the two light beers and the bartender asked what one, I asked for both to decide, she seemed very annoyed and gave me one which was all foam. She was so rude that we didn't stay and even have a beer. It really is a shame it could be a really cool place and it is just a waste of space in the downtown area. read more

Beer was tasty. It was 93 degrees outside and they had garage door and side door open. I was dripping with sweat by the time we packed up our lunch and left. Between the heat, very quiet "library" like environment and the flies it made for a pretty miserable lunch. read more

Vacationing in MI from CO, we had a really hard time finding dog-friendly breweries/outdoor dining. Luckily Tripelroot had great beer and welcomes pups. The town of Zeeland is super cute too. We tried the double IPA and Hefe and liked them both. They have a little deli of sorts with pre-made items to snack on. The inside looked to have a lot of seating. We were there on a Tuesday and it was trivia night. They also have wine, if you aren't into beer. We would definitely visit again if in the area. read more

Went out for a date here with my boyfriend and enjoyed ourselves! You walk in and seat yourself. There's a variety of seating such as at the bar or a high top table or some community style tables where you can sit with a party or around strangers if it's busy. There's outdoor seating as well! Tripelroot is a small brewery with a selection of local foods, sandwiches, cheeses and snacks. If you are within 30 miles of this brewery, you really should stop by. The beer is excellent and varied, the staff knowledgeable and extremely helpful, and the prices reasonable. Infor and outdoor seating is available, and local wines are also available in case beer is bit your thing. We been frequenting this small brewery on our excursions to Zeeland the last couple of months. The beer is top notch with "Training Session" being my favorite so far. Pasties are the special on Mondays and Tripelroots version of this Cornish meal does not disappoint also the Stonebreads are definitely worth a try, we've had four or five of them so far and not a bad one in the bunch. read more

Have been here a couple of times and have always had a great experience. The atmosphere is perfect for any day. In the spring, summer, and fall they open the big front garage door and let the breeze in. They have games along the side that you can pick and play while you are there. I have tried many beers but love the pampered moose that is an amber and her good. Their stone bread pizzas are amazing. They are not a huge portion but a good size for the price. They are about $9. I have had several different kinds but really like the monthly rotating stone breads that they have. This month was a fajita one with burrito sauce, chicken, pepper, and onions. It has great flavor. I would also recommend the old Faithful. It has chicken tossed in chalula then red onions and feta with a red sauce. It has just a little heat. All the crust is thin and crunchy. I've never been to Zeeland before, and this was a great intro! I love small, local, non-chain restaurants that find a unique spin to add to their food & drinks. Here they use the spent grain from making their own beer to bake flatbread pizza, crackers, and cookies. I'm not a beer drinker, so I was happy to see that they had other options. The meal was delicious. The drinks complemented the food very well. Definitely get the spent grain cookies....yummy! I'll go back for sure next time I'm there. Went on a Thursday night for early dinner. Group got a combination of stonebreads, quesadillas, and a "deep dish sandwich." All the food was very good - the spicy chicken and black bean quesadilla was the star, the gyro stonebread the least liked. With good service this would have been a four star review. We had many people helping us, but none of them were very attentive. Had to ask for water, ask for our check. Nothing I hate more than not being able to leave when I'm ready to to because I'm waiting on the check. I wish they had flights or at least short pours (5 oz). The beer selection is very good and I'd like to be able to try more of them. read more

Great atmosphere. Such a fun place to grab lunch and a drink. They recently expanded their menu and offer a lot of great options. From amazing chili to delicious flatbreads you are sure to find something you like. Speaking of a great selection, they have a great selection of beers and ciders too. I love the decor and ambiance of Tripelroot. It's even better in the summer when you can sit in their cozy biergarden. Excellent craft beer made right on site, along with selections from other great MI breweries make Tripelroot an excellent, chill place to grab a few beers with friends. Just be aware that it closes at 9:30 PM on Saturday (kind of absurd). In addition to all that, Tripelroot has amazing homemade pretzels and awesome, unique flat bread pizzas. We will preface this place by saying we're not big beer drinkers. BUT this place is so nice and the food so great we end up going here. The flatbread pizza is excellent and made to order. The people are so friendly and accommodating. They have outdoor seating and allow pets too. We usually ride our bikes here for lunch and we can each enjoy our personal flatbread pizza while our dog lounges under our table outdoors. read more

While playing tourist, we were in Zeeland and stopped in for beer and snacks. I really like the casual ambiance of the place. The roll up garage door is a nice touch. The beer is fantastic. The funky and rustic atmosphere was very inviting, and I really enjoyed that I could actually hear the people that I was conversing with (unlike many other breweries that I also enjoy). I started off with a Mulletude(a black IPA). It was the perfect balance between a Porter and IPA. Best beer I have consumed thus far. I also had a Pretzel with the Garlic herb dip. Tried out this brewery because it was on the Holland Brewery Passport. The location is right downtown Zeeland. There is plenty of space inside for seating. Seems like there's music every Friday and Saturday evenings. It's a great building and location. When we walked in, there was no server and it was a little confusing as to where to sit or if we needed to put our name in. So we just sat wherever. The beer was mediocre at best. The food was good. We had the macaroni and cheese quesadilla and the fiesta stone bread. Unfortunately, it's not amazing enough to make us want to go out of our way to go there again. read more

I got mine, and we asked where hers was and the waitress just said, "Oh, did you order one too?" We were there on a wet Saturday seeking an escape from the fall Michigan outdoors. After visiting a sad attempt to cash in on the craft seen in another town, Triple Root was a welcome surprise. I'll start with the friendly staff, sure it was slow, between lunch and dinner. But we all had great conversation. We had about 10 five ounce pours between us, all quality.
