I would drive all the way from Chicago just to have lunch here. It's an amazing little find off of 94 in Sawyer. The BBQ brisket, chicken and pork were all tender, juicy and delicious. Just enough smoke to make them tasty. The sauces are all great too. You have to try the Joique sauce, a little sweet with jek flavoring. The shrimp and grits are huge, delicious and unique. The tasso ham makes them great. The beer selection is awesome too. The LTD tastes amazing, very whiskey forward and strong. You only need one.

This is our second time at Greenbush and both times the experience was ok. There is indoor and outdoor seating, but even on a sunny afternoon there was no one sitting outside. They have a variety of beer, my husband had the Low Life a lager. They have an extensive food menu, with a wide variety of food options. We had the Pub Cheese appetizer with crostini. The portion of the cheese was very large and the crostini was more than enough. The cheese was smooth, sharp and tangy. Service is ok, but nothing stands out or makes the visit special.

My fave beer hands down this visit was the scotch ale, there was a double ipa imperial that I did not spy until later so will have to try that one next time. My bar mate recommended the cuban with a cucumber salad side and he was not wrong, it did not disappoint, as you can see from my picture it was delicious. This place is popular so expect to wait for a seated table in or out, outside seating on both sides of the building, bar seating is first come first serve. Service is no nonsense and you have to respect a menu that features a fried bologna sandwich, that one brings back some memories for sure.

Simple order. Cheeseburger JUST white cheddar and provolone side of Mac n cheese And bbq chicken with mac and cheese n French fries well not so simple I guess. Had all the toppings on the burger when we made sure to say plain just cheese and the top bun was so hard you couldnt bite into it if it was plain am allergicto onions so couldnt even eat the burger... chicken was cold and Texas toast was soggy had to put it in the air fryer. Not what we was expecting we are local and not sure if that was the right decision to check out this place. One star sadly.

We had the best time at Greenbush Brewing Co! The meal was great, our waiter was a great server and a "breath of fresh air."

Brisket, andouille sausage, homemade potato salad, and cucumbers and onions in vinegar.

Highly recommend the brisket and pulled pork. Loaded tater tots were a huge hit with our table. Huge selection of sides, and some of our favorites were the potato salad, smoked asparagus, cucumber salad, and the cornbread. Beer selection is good. One of the few restaurants where you can get Cheerwine soda in the bottle. Our server was efficient and friendly. Nice casual restaurant where no one feels out of place

Vegan Mac and cheese. Yum. Smoked tofu. Yum. Cucumber salad. Yum. Grits. Yum. I make sides into a meal.

Food - great menu! I love all the vegan and vegetarian options. Grits and vegan Mac are delicious. Service - super friendly and attentive staff Ambiance - casual and nice bright space

Breakfast sandwich - bacon, pickled jalapeños, saucy sauce, and white cheddar on rye.

Apparently Greenbush Brewing just started serving make your own breakfast sandwiches and they are definitely a must try! The breakfast menu has a variety of options to create your own sandwich, plus you can get hash browns on the side. They even have a few different beverage options. Service was friendly and quick! Lastly, you can get your sandwich to go like we did or sit out in their lovely courtyard (dog friendly too)! Highly recommend!

it was fine. Coming from two texans the barbecue was okay. They do have gluten free options for bread but couldn't confirm whether the fries were battered. But they definitely share the fryer. The service was okay Everything came out fast. It seemed like none of the servers wanted to be there or help us. The beer and cider were good though!

I tried the brisket, pulled chicken, coleslaw, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, potato salad, and beans. The sides were good, though there is a bit of spice in the potatoes and beans, not my preference. The mac is creamy but not much flavor. I did not like the bbq sauces. Lillie's Q is better and you can buy it at the local grocery stores. The brisket and pulled chicken were ok. The breading on the fried chicken was dark and just tasted burnt and salty to me, not great. The hand pies were good, blueberry and apple. I tried the pilsner and red ale, both good. I took a Sunspot home, just ok. Friendly service. I asked for mild hot sauce and I guess I was supposed to ask for no heat sauce. Mild is level 2 and is way too hot for me. An acquired taste I guess. I was overcharged on my bill. That should always be checked before it is brought to the table. When you walk in, there is no host but there is a counter, where a host would normally be in a restaurant. I guess you check in at the bar? I was waiting a bit before anyone noticed I was there. There is no sign saying either way if you should wait for someone or check in elsewhere.

Enjoyed a day going from wineries, to the lavender farm and finishing off with dinner here at the brewery. We chose to sit on the patio, which was a nice ambiance aside from the train that passed in the middle of our dining only feet from our seats - extremely loud of course - so just be aware. The metal furniture was also fairly wobbly on the patio but got the job done. All the staff were extremely nice a friendly but service was a little slow. The food however was very very good. I enjoyed the smothered grits that had the greatest flavor from the veggie sauce it was topped with. I added chicken and it also had a very unique and delicious flavor. My party also enjoyed a variety of bowls and sandwiches that they were all happy with as well. Food portions were generous and we all left happy! A nice little stop in a cute little town.

Excellent food and beverage. Now has gluten free bun and vegan options. Find Erick V. for your server, he's great.

Ask the Community - Greenbush Brewing

Do you have gluten free options?

Can I make a reservation? We are driving about an hour to eat here and it would be great to know if we can get in before head that way.

No reservations- get on waitlist when you arrive. The patio at the annex is open seating and self service at bar to enjoy beers while waiting for a table

What kind of seating is available during these COVID times?

They are open for limited dine in seating. They also have a heated tent!

    Open on Easter?

They had Easter brunch this morning - not sure if they are on regular Sunday hours for the rest of the day. They update their social media accounts regularly

Is this a good place for large groups since you can't make reservations? There's a group of 10 of us that want to go but wasn't sure how hard it would be to be seated.

It all depends on when you go. There's definitely space to accommodate a group of 10, but it isn't a huge peace. If you go during a peak time, you're probably going to have to wait.

Is the Greenbush annex pet friendly?

Hi, Kelly! We allow dogs to be tethered to the fence surrounding the Annex but dogs are not allowed inside the building or to freely roam the beer garden.

We're from the Grand Rapids area, so it was a bit of a trek being about an hour and a half away. GR has plenty of karaoke options in the surrounding area and a ton of breweries - none that I'm aware of mix the two, nor have anything as unique as this. Seeing as it was our first time here, we didn't know what to expect. It was pretty packed, actually pretty hard to find seating. Thankfully, we were eventually able to get a spot near the stage. One thing to note is that they don't serve food; however there's usually a food truck onsite, so that's nice, if you happen to like the type of food on that particular day. The place was pretty packed, of course it was a Saturday, so wasn't a big surprise. Unfortunately, a few of the adult beverages were unavailable, apparently due to the 10-year anniversary the day before. I first tried the dark bodega Mexican lager, it was good, but not really what I was in the mood for. So, I decided to try something a little different, I'm glad I did. I went with the peanut butter & jelly ale, wow, I was really impressed! I ended up sticking to the PB&J's for the rest of the night. A couple of others in my party, who normally don't like ales, tried the PB&j and thought it was great. All in all, it was a great experience. The karaoke was a blast, some absolutely incredible singers. And I've never seen a crowd so engaged, the place was full of energy, so I'm sure that added to the overall positive experience. If Watermark wasn't so far away, it would definitely be a regular visit for us. We missed the last crowd elimination karaoke event in June, but are planning to make a return trip for the next one in July!
