I have already left a previous review. Just adding pics of their menu. I got the fried chicken .

July 2024. Just as I expected, wonderful small town gathering eatery. The conversation amongst locals was friendly and funny. I had the Ruben, and my husband had the chicken dinner. Both were very good. Service was good. I will be going back.

Half a glass of pop filled with ice to eat this burger with. No one revisited to ask how anything was or if we needed a refill

we came in for my sons fathers bday today. We sat ourselves and waited for 15 minutes to be greeted with me yes and for the drink order to be taken. we were just three people, we got pops.. got our orders in.. waited almost an hour for our burgers and onion rings and cheese sticks, was never checked on for drink refills or if the food was ok.. we were referred by my friend who said her family runs this so we went out of our way to visit. my son was noticeably uncomfortable and all I could tell him was " a couple more minutes be patient" about 60 times. not once did anyone tell us there was a wait or something was backed up or that there was short staff.. heard the staff laughing a lot so they were in good spirits. There was no sorry, no thank you's we won't be back. i do NoT like leaving bad reviews because I've worked hospitality much of my working career but this was ridiculous.

    Legit old school.

Small crowded... food and service is not bad... I'd probably go back there if I were near by.

Hot ham sandwich is not hot like they heated it up. In hot as in spicy. I guess I missed that on menu

Yummy, it's rustic homemade and the goulash is just like my Mom's. One of the few old eating establishments from the past.

It's a lovely place for a restaurant and we've been able to find comfortable seating for a large group. We visited on Black Friday and had a nice experience! Our server was attentive and fast, drinks were handled very well with everyone getting different coffees, teas, etc. and we were all ordered with the food out within 15 minutes. One dish was delayed but the rest came out on time. The food is pretty standard for an American brunch spot- it's 4/5 stars when it comes to seasoning/quality in my opinion, and comes at a higher price point- but I think you're paying for the view which makes sense! The windows over the water are beautiful and the decor is cozy and comfortable. So all in all, this is a great choice of a spot for a date night or family meal. The menu has all of your standard brunch options- a Benedict, pancakes, several omelettes, a classic breakfast, a hash, etc. I ordered the garden omelette and it left a little to be desired- potatoes weren't all the way cooked/ sat in a lot of oil, eggs were well cooked but the veggies were cut in large chunks/on the more raw side. This is what I meant about being 4/5 stars. Large portion sizes though, and something for everyone on the menu. The pizzas and sandwiches always look really good! And there's an extensive drink menu as well as a holiday drink menu. I imagine this place would be amazing in the summer when Benton Harbor comes alive but it's charming in the colder months as well. We will keep coming back when we're in town visiting family!

It seems like a nice place but our experience, particularly food, wasn't great. Service was good,…read moreour waiter was patient and friendly as we came as a party of 6 plus kids. What left me puzzled is food. What I loved were fries, round shaped which I thought was rather unusual and just the right amount of salt, crispiness, softness inside. That's about it though. As a main dish I picked prosciutto focaccia and while on paper it looked great, it came out very dry, almost stale, I didn't enjoy it at all. While fries were great, the portion of it was tiny. Like, 10 or 11 fries in a small plate. My partner got a chicken sandwich and it was good. Now, the kids got kids burger which comes with fries too and I swear the kids plate had double the fries compared to my side. We also got kids pasta and it was the same size as someone's pasta from our party. I mean, great value for kids menu items, sure, but I'm just not sure why adult dishes are so slim compared to kids. When they brought the check we noticed two items in it that we didn't order, which we realized after paying for it and looking at the receipt (they use portable terminals and have an option to text you the receipt). Our server corrected the mistake and refunded the difference for the two items we didn't order promptly after we pointed it out but this still left a bad aftertaste for us; we don't always look at receipts and this one would've gone unnoticed for sure, we only looked because total seems a bit too high. I also noticed that the soup upcharge on the menu is $2, but on the check it was $3. Pointed it out to the server too but she didn't do anything about it. It's just a dollar so we didn't press for it, and again, only noticed it because we started looking at the receipt due to unusually high total. Anyway, it was nice to visit, but we won't be back.

It was our first time dining at Silver Harbor and won't be our last. The atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect from a small craft brewery. Fun, lively, and modern-- a place where people of all ages can enjoy a great drink and some tasty grindage (yes, I just quoted Pauly Shore)... The unique beer selection hits all the marks and my seltzer was exactly what I needed after a long day in the sun getting burnt at the beach! We started our meal with the Bacon Apple Fig Flatbread and it was outstanding. I'd order it again and again. The Hubbs got the Michigan Olive Burger and practically licked his plate afterward! My Asian Crunch Salad was top-notch--I wish every restaurant had a salad like this!! It was fresh and delicious and paired perfectly with the flatbread. If you're traveling along Michigan's beautiful Sunset Coast, make sure to stop into Silver Harbor! Leave the beach early and get there before everyone else does! You won't be sorry! :)
