So off we went to McDonalds today, to get ourselves a little emotional pick-me-up (and to take advantage of some of the coupons on the app). I mean, let's face it- you can cook at home, but sometimes you need a little emotional love from some fast food, because it just takes you back mentally, you know? Some people say that no matter where you are in the world, McDonald's food will always taste the same no matter what- but you know what? It reminds me of my childhood, and with all the bad news, sometimes I like to go back to thinking of the days I got Happy Meals with a toy and realized no matter what that everything was going to be all right. I will add in one caveat to this McDonalds, though- before you pull away, check your bags to make sure you got everything you ordered. We've been past this location a few times and somehow something always seemed to be forgotten in our order- hamburgers, Quarter Pounders, ten piece nuggets, fries- I really wish they'd at least look in the bag before they hand it over, because it's a pain in the behind to have to sit there with whoever is out there handing us the stuff because we won't leave until we get what we ordered, and it's happened enough times that maybe the manager ought to say something about it. But still, at the end of the day, this is still McDonalds, and I'm looking forward to trying some of the new menu hack burgers they're pushing now- I've heard of the Land, Sea, and Air, but I never, ever thought of trying one...

I was ignored for five minutes while two girls complained about who was gonna take my order and who was gonna take a break until one of them finally decided to acknowledge me and come take my order which was wrong anyways. She walked off, took a break I'm assuming, and there is another girl at the fryer I didn't see my cup and I asked for a medium cup and she gave me an attitude, rolled her eyes and aggressively gave me the cup. She was on her phone so that seemed more likely the reason she was mad I guess. Idk typically I don't get treated that way when just asking for something. I asked her if there was a problem and she said I didn't say anything I said well you didn't need to say anything. You seem a little bit like there's an issue and she's proceeded to talk about me in front of her coworkers after I walked away to get my drink and then I told her if she's gonna complain or talk about people, she should at least wait until the customer is gone or at least not loud enough that the person can hear them...be for real. I really try to give everybody grace, but this is one of those experiences that makes me not want to ever come back to any Burger King ever again. I truly hope that this girl gets spoken to about her behavior because honestly, it was crazy. There were only two customers inside the whole building, but yeah it looked like a bomb went off at the drink station. Nothing was clean and everything was pretty gross to touch. I really hope that management and corporate comes in and takes care of something in this Burger King because apparently they need a lot of help if a customer gets treated this way just for asking for something.
