It was our last day and we were looking for some good breakfast, our favorite way to spend some girls time together. We went two one place before this and they couldn't accommodate our table size but they recommended a second place. We tried getting there but they said that our group was too big and someone beat us to the table they had open. Thankfully, we found The Breakfast Place that was so quick to accommodate us. We called them on the phone and they told us to come right on it and they'd get a table cleared for us soon. With great speed and pleasure, they found us a table big enough for all of us, got us seated and had the best team of servers to help us. We had a very nice young man who was assisting us and he was so friendly and patient. He also had a young lady assist him. I wish I asked their names but they were great. Both very young and exceptional. Went above and beyond. Everyone was super pleased to see the extensive menu and we all left feeling full and satisfied. Whether we had people craving savory skillets or omelettes or those craving sweet breakfast items like pancakes and French toast, we all left super happy that we were able to eat here. This is a great community staple and if we are in the area again, it'll be the first place we visit. We thank this team for welcoming us and giving us a great experience to close out our weekend in Michigan.

Everything I've ever eaten on the menu is good... but I have a special affinity for pig 'n the blankets, banket, and any Mexican inspired breakfast item in the menu. Today I had the chorizo Benny. It was fabulous and worth the $15 imo. Our waiter, Pedro, was the best! He's worked there for over a decade and knows the family that runs this restaurant--- 3 Dutch brothers--- he gave me a run down on the lore and all the pictures are of their family photos hanging around the restaurant. I think that's pretty cool. They will be opening and expanding into a new restaurant location on the corner of River and Lakewood Blvd sometime in the near future. That location will have more of a "hipster" vibe with breakfast cocktails, etc. Check them out when you want... but if you don't want to wait come during off peak hours and off season times. When entering the restaurant we were immediately greeted by staff and were advised to grab a menu from the nearby wall. Orders are placed at the counter, food and coffee. They also provide an estimate on wait-time for coffee and food based on level of orders currently placed. We were given a buzzer and advised that our name would be called for both coffee and food. The bourbon vanilla Madagascar latte was delicious, I loved that the coffee flavor was not overpowered by homemade coffee syrup. The paninis were delicious and very filling! They come with a side salad or kettle chips.
