Let me start by saying the food was delicious. I had the egg rolls for an app, and Baja tacos, both were delicious. However, we waited entirely too long for every aspect of the meal. I tried to Order two drinks (strawberry lemon drop and espressotini) and both were unavailable after waiting ten minutes. Soft drinks were spilled on a guest at our table and the food took over an hour to come out. None arriving at the same time. We went to Flat Rock Grill for Mothers Day brunch, service was great, there was a line to the buffet however it moved right along, Kelley, I think was the manager was constantly making sure everyone was enjoying themself as busy as they were everything went smooth, always bringing out more food to fill. they had a flower station on the patio to make a pretty bouquet for your mom as well as a photo station to snap a photo. Drinks were very slow from the bar, apps were slow to come out and the meals didn't come out together. My meal was delayed and almost everyone was done eating. The employees are friendly when I'm there, but all the food I've ever ordered is subpar... they have a large menu so I'm not sure if it's due to that so they aren't able to perfect any one dish or if it's something else. Items ive had: ahi tuna app: would give a 2/10. Was served lukewarm but I thought I'd give it a try. Banging shrimp was alright... nothing compared to bang bang shrimp found elsewhere. Pretzel with beer cheese was good. 4/10. Wings were alright but would definitely choose other restaurants to get my craving fix 5/10. Cajun pasta had little to no taste. Needs extra seasoning and barely had any shrimp, sausage and chicken for protein in it. Thought this was overpriced for a meal but it is generally a larger portion 3/10. I added pepper and even cracked pepper but didn't help. No spice to it either Adult Mac and cheese is alright but still pretty basic 5/10. I was excited to try the ribeye but was very disappointed, I couldn't finish it because it was undercooked and did not taste good at all. Lack of seasoning once again. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I want to try other dishes but I'm worried that I just won't be satisfied... I'm a big foodie so love trying different restaurants and dishes in general, but overall I can't give the restaurant the rating that others have been giving. Finally, ambiance. What a gem for Edwardsburg. We stopped in for Saturday lunch. They weren't overly busy but started to fill up while we were there. Our server was very nice. She was new so couldn't make many recommendations but other servers passing by were glad to help. We started with cheese curds and the ahi. The portion on the ahi is plenty for a meal. Good spice levels. I had the pulled pork sandwich. Tender and juicy and the bbq sauce was good. I chose a side salad which was more than enough for a meal. Others had the breakfast burger and steak. All dishes great. We also tried three of their desserts. Apple crisp, birthday cake cheese cake and tiramisu mousse. The mousse was amazing and presentation a 10. This is my first time here and I came with a group tonight. We luckily called ahead and got a reservation for 7:30pm. When we arrived we got right in and it was very busy. We started with a few drinks and when we finally ordered food the wait time was very reasonable. The sprouts were our favorite thing we got. They had a sweet flavor and cooked perfectly. The blackened Mahi tacos had a very good flavor as well. It came with chips and rice which we didn't really eat because we were too full. The chips seemed to be homemade and crispy like they should be. The salad was good but the dressing was a bit tart for my taste and it would have been great to have added a goat cheese. The only negative was the Mac and cheese came out without cheese. When we asked for cheese our waitress Cassidy brought out the missing cheese which was good but was cold. The waitress was very apologetic. Overall good experience and menu had lots of options that I would want to come back and try. read more

My husband received a gift certificate for Flat Rock. We decided to try them out. We were not disappointed! The place is large and nicely decorated. We went on a Friday around 3:00pm. It was pretty quiet but was getting busy by the time we left. We ordered the pretzel sticks with beer cheese. It was delicious! My husband ordered the PB burger. It is two patties with peanut butter, pickled jalapeños, cheddar cheese, candied bacon, on a brioche bun. He said it was one of the best burgers he has ever had. I ordered the Smoked Gouda & Chicken Cavatappi pasta. It was very creamy with sun dried tomatoes and sautéed mushrooms. The only negative I can say is that the grilled chicken breast was dry. My husband has his usual beer and I had a drink called Rum Around the Mango. It was good, but could have had a little more alcohol in it to cut the sweetness. The prices are reasonable. Service was great. Every interaction with staff was positive. We will return and bring people with us. We were very impressed. Worth the 30 min drive! read more

This place is one of those that is a hidden gem tucked away in a small older strip mall. As you enter the front doors you will find a trendy very nice restaurant. The food is very good here! We began our evening meal with the cheese curds, OH MY, they were finger licking delicious! Ordered the Meaty pizza and my husband said he has found a new favorite pizza. The wait staff was great. A couple waitresses (that weren't ours) came by to ask how our evening was going and asked if we needed anything. So many times the staff is territorial and do not help each other out, this place has it and I loved it! We definitely will be back! read more

We met friends on a Saturday evening at Flat Rock Grill. Luckily, we had reservations because it was very busy. They seated us promptly in the large dining area. There is also a bar area. And I also noticed a private room and a patio. Our waitress was spot on. She brought our drinks out promptly. After perusing the menu we opted for the Ahi Tuna as an appetizer. Very good. I had the chicken avocado wrap which was delicious and huge. And D had the Walleye sandwich which he said was amazing and also huge (the fish hung off the bun). This is a casual dining restaurant, with indoor, outdoor, and bar seating. It was clean inside and the bathrooms were okay. The service was friendly. We got our drinks and food within a quick, timely matter. I got the white sangria which consisted of Lemon Creek Semi-sweet wine, blackberry brandy, orange juice, and sprite. Refreshing on a hot summer day! My boyfriend got a Bulliet Bourbon old fashioned and then a Bourbon Peach Smash. He said it tasted mostly of mint (it had tons of muddled mint in it) and ginger beer and that he couldn't taste the peach at all. We got the Aloha Burger, which was tasty. It has all the fixings with a double patty, plus a slice of ham and a pineapple ring. The only thing is that it didn't come with cheese on it, which we didn't realize until after we got the food, but it was still very good. We will be back! read more

Hosteds checked in on us when we got there to make sure we were taken care of when Onna was delivering our beers. Tangerine ipa draft so good. Again pretzel sticks were amazing. Tried the jalapeño poppers, chili, hubby got patty melt. He loved it. Added shredded pickles on the side. Poppers were so good.
