Although the wait times can be extreme at times, the pizza has to be some of the best I've ever had, Anywhere. Our favorite is the HI. They will let you know right from the get go on the wait time so no complaint there. Their house salad is also great. read more

After being a customer here years and giving a 5 star review in the past, it hurts my heart to give this place 3 stars. But, when you act ignorantly, then you deserve fewer stars. After spending $67 for two pizzas, a Caesar's Salad and San Pellegrino, I would like to think that I would get a small little container of extra pizza sauce for free while my family was eating the warm pizza. But, I had to stand in line behind 3 people to pay 50 cents for the sauce. And the best part was that they gave me COLD TOMATO SAUCE that was obviously out of a can! They did not even heat it ! Seriously ??? Use some common sense !!!! I don't give a damn about the 50 cents !! I would pay you $5 for it. But seriously.....my pizza was getting cold while I waited in line to pay you 50 cents !!! After working in the restaurant industry for decades and giving customers free things regularly, I was completely shocked that Patellie's wanted my 50 cents ! I won't be back ! Thank you! You have NO RESTROOMS! I had to go across the street to use the bathroom at Froehlick's. But you got your 50 cents! Too bad you have no Business Sense! P. S. You charged me $1.00 for extra Basil on One Pizza and the other pizza had NO BASIL! read more

Very satisfied with our carryout feast from Patellie's. We got a few pies, meatballs and cheese and crackers for some holiday grazing. We enjoyed all of it. My sausage and Calabrian pepper pizza was excellent. I almost got giardiniera, but when I saw the the spicy Calabrians I decided to shake up the string of groundhog days and try a different combo. Sixteen inch pies, so you'll get eight proper slices. Pies had a good amount of cheese, a tasty sauce and perfect crust. Patellie's would be solid pizza anywhere. In Three Oaks it feels like a find, and where we'll be going in the future. read more

Let me tell you a tale about my pizza-loving husband. This man lives for pizza--the good, the bad, the ugly. Now, I'll partake in the former any day of the week with him, but it's the latter that had me rolling my eyes *hard* one late afternoon on our drive from Chicago to our home in Michigan when he wanted to make a {45 minute} "detour" on this place he found for pizza. I was just ready to start our weekend and tired from the week. But boy oh boy am I glad I went limp & relented because I ate my words, in the form of some of the best pizza I've ever had. In fact, it quickly became a part of our regular routine and I haven't looked back. For context, I was raised in New York and have lived in Chicago over 10 years, also I'm thick as hell, so when I tell you I know pizza, you'll have to trust me and try for yourself. Patellie's has a fantastic crust, chewy, crispy, flavorful. They use the perfect amount and kind of sauce & cheese, and they locally source their veggies & meats. In fact, I usually always opt for whatever veggie pie they have that day (their chef is a mad genius), and it never disappoints. We don't make it up to Michigan as much anymore since selling our home, but I think about the pizza...and the other love of my life (their burrata) often & feel wistful. Check it out! read more

Probably the best NY style pizza in the area, but it is quite expensive. Definitely call ahead and order on the weekend, since it can be an hour wait. We ordered The Meat Pie for $25. This place is definitely worth a try, but for the price I wouldn't be a frequent customer. read more

We were visiting for our family beach trip to Lake Michigan and lucky enough to find this delicious pizza! We ordered a margarita for our family and received a glorious pizza. Called to confirm there was no egg in dough as our daughter has an egg allergy. Easy to order and pick up. We ate the entire pizza among our family of 4. Just for fun we did a taste test with Patellie's and another locally made pizza. I was still impressed by the outstanding taste profile, texture, and lightness of this pizza. A group of five friends and myself were on a trip and wandering around downtown Three Oaks, Michigan looking for a good lunch spot. We were planning on giving another place a try but that was a hot mess. We wanted a sit down restaurant that we could get a drink at, as well as some simple bar food. There was no such location to be found in the downtown area that didn't have a weird vibe so we decided to "settle" on Patellie's, which advertised slices of pizza. We are so happy we landed on this option!! The slices of pizza were each a quarter of a pizza. It was thin crust and they offered 4 options for slices. Between all of us in the group we tried the sausage, pepperoni and margarita slices. Everyone was extremely happy with their choice and agreed that this was the best option for lunch we could've found. They have chili sauce for dipping on the table which was a huge hit. I've had a lot of pizzas from many different places in Berrien County. Patellies is head and shoulders above the rest. Always ask about their specials, of the 7 or 8 different ones I've ordered I can only think of 1 that I didn't love, but it was still pretty good. I'm so glad we gave this place a try. The menu is small and that makes things so much simpler. We got the standard 16" pie with pepperoni on all and half with onion, red pepper, and mushrooms. It was so delicious. The crust is my idea of perfect. Not too thick and not too thin. The sauce has the tiniest bit of kick to it. Just enough to let you know it's there. The cheese was tasty and the toppings were fresh. Can't wait to try other topping! read more

Hands down the best pizza for 50 miles! Good crust, good salads, drinks, some gelato/frozen desert options. Everything is great, employees are always nice and smiling like they enjoy what they're doing. It's an all around good environment that leaves me full and happy! Being from Chicago, the bar is pretty high when it comes to quality pizza. Not so much deep dish pizza but pizza in general. So staying in Union Pier last weekend, we ordered in and opted for Patellie's. Of course I was skeptical but my skepticism proved me wrong - in a good way! We did a 16" thin sausage and mushroom. Next time I'll pass the mushroom but you can tell that sausage was fresh and probably homemade. The biggest surprise to me was the amount of cheese they put on this pie. It was an enormous amount but an enormous amount that was welcomed with open arms. This was a nice NY style type pie and deserves another go round next time I head back to Union Pier. read more

My new favorite pizza spot in SW Mich. This place is for those that like thin crust and quality ingredients. Order and Pick-up windows on the outside of the building make for an easy transaction. I called and ordered on a Saturday in the summer at 5pm and the wait was 2.5 hours. Well worth the wait. read more

Hands down best pizza around! No joke. New York style, East Coast worthy pie right here in the Midwest. Never once been disappointed. There have been weeks where we have ordered three days in a row. Fantastic sausage pizza - everything you want in a thin crust pizza and nothing you don't. They only make one size pizza -16". We ordered a sausage, mushroom onion and a daily special salad - burrata and marinated tomatoes. The food was done a little earlier then they the time we were told it would be. We ordered at 6:25 on a Friday night and it was ready at 9:35 so ORDER EARLY! This is by far the best pizza I have had in years. We got a margherita pizza to split, good portions for 2 people. The sauce was so fresh, it tasted like hand crushed fresh tomatoes. This place is honestly amazing! I've known about this place for a few years now and they've never failed to impress me each visit. Me and my boyfriend aren't big into pizza but there's is something I've always loved. Especially their margarita pizza. Ive wanted to show my boyfriend this place for awhile now, but it's a 30 minute drive so we never had the excuse to go till yesterday. Now I regret showing him because he wants to go again today! safe to say he LOVED it. Wouldn't stop talking about it on the way home! Pizza was delicious as always, we both got margarita slices and the amount you get is huge! It's practically 2 slices in one! Where I live you can't really find margarita pizza and if you do it isn't good. Their sauce is amazing, the crust is perfectly chewy but crunchy and thin, and the cheese has an amazing flavor as well. You can tell their ingredients are fresh. Customer service was amazing per usual, I loved the selection of drinks and the friendly atmosphere! You're immediately welcomed and greeted by every staff in that building. I loved it. Had a cute eating area outside and they were able to serve me my food through a window so I didn't have to walk back in! This place checks out in every area. They definitely deserve my 5 stars and a high rating in general. I appreciate this amazing business and their staffing. Definitely a customer for life! read more

the meatball sub was awful. what's up with using ricotta instead of mozzarella? when I asked for mozzarella they said it wouldn't melt properly. no onions or spices very bland. the worse part is that they didn't toast the bun and too much sauce so soggy n u could not possibly pick up and eat as a sandwich. the veggie pizza used to be good but somehow changed. again tasteless though I could taste the garlic from the jar. 42.00 seems high for these two items. save your money read more

The BEST pizza in the area! They do by the slice which was so filling and huge. You can also get a whole box. I was so happy since there aren't many restaurants in the area. It had a cozy atmosphere with minimal seating. I liked their drink selections as well. I will certainly be back. read more

Not only the best pizza around Three Oaks, but a close second behind Venturi for best pizza in Michiana. Very "east coast" style shop, designed towards takeout and delivery, not dining in. Beautiful crust, fantastic sauce. Not quite a New York style, but very close, in a good way. New but old school. They even have spumoni in the freezer, which I haven't seen in a while. Super friendly, definitely check these guys out. read more

Patellie's is owned and operated by Pat & Ellie Mullins. After having LOCAL, a specialty grocery in New Buffalo for 6 1/2 years, P. & E. were ready for their next adventure. Pat and Ellie moved to Michigan via San Francisco in the Winter of 2010. While growing up between Belgium and Northern California, Ellie developed her love and respect for handcrafted artisanal meats and cheeses as well as straight from the farm produce. The crust was not thin and crisp. Half of the pizza was overcooked. There was plenty of sauce. Plenty of pepperoni. Lots of mushroom. Very little sausage and bacon. Not a bad pizza, but not great either. Wouldn't bother ordering again. Maybe would try a pasta or something different.
