On our recent visit to Lost Art we were surprised to see a version of a French dip called LAB beef. It was the best I've ever had!! Loads of tender shaved beef, generous slices of provolone cheese and carmelized onion. The bun was huge and fresh. It came with a generous portion of au jus for dipping. I took half home to enjoy the next day. My friend had his favorite the double smash burger with smash sauce and their awesome battered fries. I had a great conversation with the chef and cooks. Great people. Another special is their deep fried asparagus. I want to try this soon. read more

Terrible Customer Service. Ordered a slider with no pickle when I took it to the counter to get one without the pickle, they said with a smile "Do you want us to pick off the pickle or do you want to?" At first I thought they were joking but they were not. In total disbelief of the total of the lack of awareness of the staff, I told them to just throw it away. So instead of remaking a $4.50 slider like every other restaurant would have done after a mistake, they decided to be smart asses and lose the business of my 6 person family that spends $100+ on dinner. Heard about this place through some recommendations and finally made it out to try their smash burger! The smash burger definitely blew us away! I would eat it again and again! We also enjoyed the pretzels and cheese curds which were both tasty as well. Food orders and drink orders were separate here. Once we ordered our food we went to the bar for a beverage. I ordered their pina colada icecream beer! This did not taste like beer and it was amazing haha! Loved how refreshing it actually was. Stopped in when visit the Grand Rapids area. Slightly off the beaten path but worth the effort. I just stopped to try the beers because the brewer was extra friendly and had shared info on his brewing process via email. Many brewers wouldn't have done that. The beers I tried were very good. I would definitely visit again. Relative small brewpub, but they offer indoor and outdoor seating. Very friendly and helpful staff. If I had more time I could see sending some very enjoyable and relaxing time here. read more

Lost Art is one of our favorite spots. The Dune Climber is our go-to, but the Pub Ale, Mexican Lager, Irish Stout and Tricky IPA are all great too. They clearly take pride in what they brew. The smashburgers are fantastic and honestly some of the best around. They do things the right way and focus on doing them well. Lost Art is hands down my favorite brewery in Grand Rapids. I hesitate to even review it because it's such a nice secret to have. The beers are great-don't skip the ice cream beers for fun, but their IPAs are so flavorful. The smash burgers remain an all time favorite, the fries and onion rings are always crisp. Went to the lost art Brewhouse for the first time ordered a single patty not knowing how thin the patties are the burger came with hardly any meat because the Patties are smashed so thin you don't taste the meat and it and the onion rings were cold will definitely not go back not worth the drive or the money! Lost Art Brewhouse is a cool neighborhood spot on the NW side of Grand Rapids. I honestly don't make it to that side of town very often, but Nate and I met up with my aunt and uncle there recently for a beer and a burger from the Lost Art Burger truck. Inside is cozy, with some varied seating and a bar. There's also a little "lounge" room off to the side that looked nice if you wanted more privacy. I've been following Lost Art on social media and have been impressed with the range of smoothie and fruity beers that they've come up with. I tried the blackberry pomegranate vanilla milkshake, which was so delicious! It was super fruity and a little thick. I got a small pour of that to sip on, and Nate got an IPA that he liked. The bartender let us try some which was helpful so we knew what we wanted. You can get a Brew Club membership, which includes some really great deals like $1 off beer every day, $1.50 off beer and $1.50 off burgers on Brew Club Tuesdays, 15% off merchandise every day, and more. This is a cool spot to try a new beer and hang out with friends. It was pretty quiet and casual when we were there on a Tuesday evening. This place has very good beer. Situated next to Latin House, Lost Art Brewhouse has outdoor, indoor, and lounge seating. Their food truck, Lost Art Burger, was outside playing music and serving food. They don't have flights, but you can order half pours (or try samples). We ordered a BBA Great Scot (10% ABV scotch ale), a Koala Juice (8.7% double NEIPA with Motueka and Vic secret hops), and a Dune Climber (7.2% IPA). All were great! We sat in the lounge, which was a little oddly decorated, but comfortable nonetheless. Excited to try more of their beers in the future! read more

Very cool place in Walker. Just looks like a little bar from the outside, but it's real cozy inside. We have frequented this place since it opened. They have a niche with the ice cream beers, which my wife loves. However, small place, no waitstaff (sometimes you have to wait in line for a while for your drink(s). Also, the more popular the place has become, I have noticed a steady price increase. Although that have a good product, I do not want to pay $7 or more for a beer. Also, their foodtruck has great burgers, but they are also pricy. Not much ambiance, small building, outside area is out front, not much seating or shade.
