Chicken wrap with a side of chili. The Sassy burger with mac. Chicken cheese quesadilla with broccoli. Sweat potato waffle fries.

First time ordering here via DoorDash. Our bag seal wasn't fully intact, but I inspected the food and everything appeared to be in good condition. The portions were generous, and the flavors and tastes were evident, even though it was takeout. It was our first time ordering from this place, and it turned out to be a delightful surprise! We'll definitely be ordering from here again!

After a full day of conference meetings, my boss and I were starving and brain dead. We knew we needed dinner, but since I couldn't compose a thought, I told him it was his turn to pick a place for dinner. (I'd picked dinner the night before anyway, so there!) He asked if Brick and Porter sounded good, which it did. (I was in no shape to make a decision by that point. lol.) So, off we went. The place has a good selection of beer and when we walked in it was already busy for a Thursday night. (always a good sign.) It said to seat ourselves and after wandering around we found an empty table. Their menus are all via QR codes, so make sure you're phones handy and charged. They seem to have some very unique craft beers here, and we had fun reading through some of the names which made us laugh. One was called "Perk you Later." Another was called "bean flicker." I still find this entertaining. Boss did order one beer that they don't carry anymore, so I guess the beer menu isn't totally up to date. Boo hiss. He did take something else, so I guess that's a win. Anyway, we started off with spinach dip which was pretty good but the artichokes were a bit chunky and hard to pick up with chips. We checked out the menu and even their food had hilarious names. One was a pork sandwich called "wilbers last squeal." They also had a burger called the sassy burger! I would've ordered it but it had a lot of pork on it and it was to spicy for me at that time. My boss got a pork sandwich and I went with their burger selection of the otto ban burger. My burger was extremely delicious! I literally was stuffed after I was done. Best burger I've had in some time, and I was pleasantly surprised with just how good it was. The price point here's closer to $20 a person not including alcohol. They have some entrees that were closer to $25 a person but I wasn't that hungry. I will say what made our experience classic was our servers. It was a young man and a young woman training him. Both were absolutely hilarious! We couldn't get enough of them both! They really made the meal worth it and if I'm ever on this side of town again, I'm stopping back in here to laugh hard again because they were just that fun. Go here for the wonderful food selection and awesome staff. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It has a nice decor and a more traditional style with chairs and tables, but it's a nice relaxing environment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall a fabulous experience!

My friend and I went here before a show and enjoyed a meal. Luckily our wait was pretty short and our service was great. He was extremely attentive and we each got a burger. It was delicious and huge! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a bit loud and this is a spot that a lot of people frequent before shows at either Van Andel or Civic Theatre as it's right in between both.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I know it gets pretty packed because of it and I totally see why.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was really good and I enjoyed it. I forget it's there and would totally come back!

Went around 6:45 pm during Art Prize weekend and we were seated within 15 minutes. Attentive staff, bartender made a nice drink and the food was tasty, hot & timely. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice clean interior- not big but not tight seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Just right for a nice Friday evening reset.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Solid bar food, good drinks, and solid service in an area experiencing a shortage of good restaurants. The failure of the Cottage Bar and One Trick Pony has left a void for this popular venue. My only criticism is that eating light is not an option.

    Greek Fries (do NOT recommend)

Pros: [[HIGHLIGHT]]We LOVED the outdoor, shaded seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great beer list. Cons: Our food experience wasn't great. Food was a smidge pricey. We ordered the Greek Fries, Mac & Cheese, B&P Beef sandwich with fries, French Onion soup, and a couple of beers. My hubs started out with the French Onion soup. I think my biggest problem with the soup is the consistency with relation to the recipe used. The first time we had it, it was amazing (hence we always order it now). But the second time wasn't as good -the flavor wasn't as deep and seemed like a different recipe. The third time we ordered it, today, it was, again, like a totally different soup. Very herby and too salty (and I happily over-salt everything so for me to say it was too salty is pretty big). I had been eyeing the Greek Fries for a while and took the plunge today. I do not recommend them. At all. I didn't finish them or take leftovers home (that's again saying a lot for me). I've never returned a dish, but considered it. Perhaps it was just not for me -I'm just really surprised at how much I did not like them. The Mac and Cheese was good. Very creamy. I'm not sure I would get it again, but I wasn't unhappy. My hub's B&P was very delicious. I feel like $17 was a little steep for the portion, but it was good. The beer was excellent!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great vibes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was wonderful. The French fries are the best type of French fries. Perfectly crispy! [[HIGHLIGHT]]A great place for lunch, happy hour, or dinner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]My friends and I got together for lunch here and had a blast![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You seat yourself and it wasn't busy so the service was quick and our server was attentive checking on us frequently. I had their mac and cheese with delicious bbq pulled pork and my friends had the mac and cheese with blackened chicken, avocado and pico de gallo and my other friend got their fiesta salad with quesadillas. Their menu offers a variety of options including burgers, sandwiches, salads, tacos and a bunch of tasty appetizers. Now that I've tried this place, I will definitely be back to try the other menu items and drinks!

Big Sassy Burger and French Onion soup.

The service was good. I was excited to try one of the delicious sounding burgers on the menu. I ordered the Bigg Sassy burger cooked medium and it was super dry. And way overcooked charcoal consistency on ends. Its would have been. A good burger if it wasnt chared to a crisp. The french onion soup was really good. Nice rich soup perfectly melted cheese. My wife got the Cuban sandwich which was great also. Probably would try it again but not a burger.

Great spot! Lovely outside seating and great service. Food was excellent. Ordered the ranch chicken wrap and steak salad. Good portions and very flavorful. The fries had a good crunch and color on them. I also noticed an impressive option for bbq. Good signage inside for the restrooms which were clean.

Atmosphere is always bumping--there's live music and other themed nights and it was jam packed on a Tuesday night. Vibes and beers are unmatched in my opinion. Big fan of the Golden Ticket and the Wilde Irish Red Ale or again, whatever is on cask. As far as the food goes, it's definitely... brown plates all around. Fryz'licious was slightly overpowering with the amount of beer cheese slopped on there, but a good bite with some hot sauce. Big fan of the beer cheese. Those Nantucket Backing pretzels are 10/10. Fish and chips weren't great. Not a lot of fish--two pieces with more batter than cod. Sort of disappointed with that. St. Patrick's Day specialty menu replaced their chicken pot pie with a sheperd's pie and a Bailey's cheesecake. Sheperd's pie was a good bite, exactly what I'd imagine lamb, mashed potatoes, and peas/carrots would taste like. Cheesecake was heavy handed on the booze, but a good palette cleanser after all the fried food.

We were lucky enough to snag a table in the corner and it was the perfect spot to catch up with my friend. It is seat yourself! Our waitress arrived quickly and we ordered drinks and food. The fried pickles for an appetizer were amazing. Some of the best fried pickles I've had in a while and the ranch was soooo good. Also the portion is huge so we were able to take a lot of home. I had my eye on the mortadella with pistachio cream sandwich from the moment they posted the special on Facebook and it was everything I expected. We arrived right at 5 pm on a Friday and the place was almost full already! We were surprised but happy for them, and glad to get a nice cozy two-top in a back corner. We were greeted by our awesome server and ordered some food -- two different mortadella sandwiches and an order of fried pickles to start. Neither of us ordered drinks, but I saw some fun-looking cocktails coming over to nearby tables. The fried pickles came out first and they were perfection. I don't usually get this appetizer because I don't like fried pickle spears, but these were thin chips. The ratio of the fried pickle chip vs. spear is way better. And these came with the best runny ranch. It was a huge portion to split between the two of us, so we had lots left over. Our sandwiches came out shortly after and looked amazing. They were super stacked with tons of meat! I really liked the addition of the grainy mustard which helped cut through the fattiness of the meat. My friend liked hers - it had pistachio butter and ricotta (similar to a delicious sandwich I ate at a wine bar in Detroit). Portions are large and it's a cozy, neighborhood spot. They have rotating food features and are always helping out their community with free meals and other philanthropic ventures. Check them out!
