    Brekky Club

Great brunch at The Winchester. Had the deviled eggs which were tasting and pleasantly spicy. I had the Brekky Club minus the naan because I'm watching carbs. Hubby had the Chicken and Beignets (no photo because it was gone so fast). Both plates were delicious. Pleasant patio. Kind, attentive service.

This place is awesome! There's usually little to no wait time so they get bonus points for that! Their food is great and their service is always fast. Highly recommend their late night happy hour too. Weird little side note: their bathroom is cute! If you like taking mirror selfies you'll like it lol.

went for happy hour and they had a great happy hour special for wine! The fries and ranch were good as well. Love that they have an option to sit outside without all the elements b/c it's covered!

After walking around and doing a little shopping we worked up an appetite so popped into Winchester for a bite. It happened to be during happy hour (which is posted online) which was a happy coincidence! Started off with a HH house wine and went ahead and ordered the chicken Caesar wrap with fries. Both were good - I do wish there was a bit more filling/lettuce in the wrap, but good flavors and filled us up for lunch. Overall, some great happy hour drink deals and lots of food options to satisfy any guests. Love the ambiance inside and service was prompt and helpful with recommendations.

Love this place! For Christmas it's dark and cozy feeling. We always sit at the bar and the bartenders are fun and attentive. No matter what I order, the food is always good. The Naan Club is one of my favorites but you cannot go wrong with anything you order.

My partner and I are in Grand Rapids visiting his grandparents, who of course go to bed quite early, so we decided to have a night out and explore some walking-distance pubs and bars. The Winchester was our second stop of the night and just outstanding! Clean, quaint, and comfortable with great ambience. The cocktail menu was fantastic and we loved the deviled eggs and duck poutine. Overall a wonderful stop on a wonderful street!

We brunched at The Winchester last weekend and caught the tail end of the holiday decorations up on Wealthy Street RIP Here's what we had: -Deviled eggs (and I went HAM on these, they were simply too good) -Fried pickles (big pickle spears! I love that) -Breakfast poutine (maybe my new favorite breakfast food) -Brunch smash burger (with the PERFRCTLY cooked egg) Drinks are absent from this post because it's dry january but for those not partaking, they keep the mimosas and bloody mary's flowing! It was pretty busy so service was a little slow, but it was as expected with a big group and a busy time.

This was perfect in all of the ways. The environment was fun and charming. The kind of restaurant that you can make a special occasion or go in to grab a yummy bite with friends after work. The service was good however the thing that made this place so memorable was the food. The cheese sticks were the best I've ever tasted. Soft yet somehow had a cheese pull and so flavorful in every way from the sauce to the crust to the cheese itself. WOW. The French dip and burger were perfect. So many levels of flavor. Perfect in texture and temperature. Truly melt in your mouth perfection. I honestly won't forget every bite I had. I will be going back for those cheese sticks and to try everything else on the menu. As well as dessert! Would recommend and remember!!!

This is a great spot for a quick lunch. Very chill vibes, lovely servers, small parking lot available and on a great strip. Food was great. The menu is quite varied in like a whimsical British way, haha. The tiramisu was so creamy but didn't taste the matcha or the ginger unfortunately. Well stocked bar with basic cocktail menu. Easy-going all together. Cozy, casual.

Wonderful customer service, our waitress was amazing. It was a nice day outside so we could enjoy the outside seating. The inside is cool, like an old Irish pub with dark wood and a cute wall papered bathroom. We enjoyed the happy hour $5 glass of wine and a few shared plates. We had the truffle fries, lettuce wraps and kimchi nachos. My favorite was kimchi nachos because of the interesting array of flavors, textures and some spice. I would definitely come back again and would be interested in trying the French dip next visit.

Another great place in Grand Rapids. Stopped in one night wanting to have some cocktails outside. The patio area is nice and quite large. My review is solely based on cocktails. We had already eaten. They do have a large food menu. I really like their cocktail offerings. They make a lot of infusions and homemade syrups. I can't remember the name of the one I ordered the first night but it was a Chamomile Simple, Thyme, Gin cocktail.. I really enjoyed it. Sadly it was gone the next time I came in. I've also had the Respect your Elderflower. Another nice cocktail. Although I didn't like it as much as the first one. Ali of the servers have been amazing. Helpful and friendly to talk with. We really enjoy the ambiance at the Winchester and look forward to returning soon. Wish they were open later.

Really cute bar/restaurant. Dimly lit, interesting art all over and a nice outdoor patio. Food is fresh and tasty, and also plated really visually appealing. Some faves were the garlic shrimp app, truffle fries, smash burger, beef and broccoli.

I counted my check ins and I've been to The Winchester at least 145 times over the past 13 years. Wow! I used to live a few blocks away, so I was a regular there for dinner, brunch, happy hour, and drinks on their patio. I don't go as often anymore, but whenever I do, I always wonder why I stopped going so much after moving further away. It's one of those spots that's consistently good. I've never really had a bad meal at Winchester, and service is usually very good. The bar is a bit dark and moody inside towards the back and always gives me Chicago vibes. The patio is completely enclosed and heated, which makes it a great spot for those early and late patio season days. They do have some designated parking spots in their adjacent lot, but they fill up quickly. Street parking nearby is pretty easy to find. The menu is a bit unique, which I love. They have great burgers and sandwiches, as well as some large plates and share items. The options change pretty regularly, but some of my favorites are the naan club (all time favorite), crispy Brussels sprouts, and the grilled chicken Caesar wrap. They also have brunch on Saturday and Sunday, a nice cocktail menu, and a short draft list. Happy hour is Monday-Friday, 3-6pm and burger night is every Monday, where you can get a drink + a burger for a deal. The Winchester is still one of my all-time favorite spots. It's like an old friend - no matter how long you go without seeing each other, it always feels comfortable when you reconnect.

The staff were friendly and we appreciated "The Library" filled with games and books. I was nostalgic and read Hunter's Guide to 1996 Michigan complete with a recommendation to stop at the now obsolete Pleasure Island Water Park. That used to be my absolute favorite getaway as a kid! We ordered arancini as a starter that came out tasting crisp like a tator tot, but the shape and taste actually reminded me more of a fried tteokbokki (Korean rice noodle) known for its deliciousness through its texture highlighting the spicy sauce. This would've been amazing had they had a nice gochujang mayo combo to dip this crispy treasure in, rather than ranch and pizza sauce. Next we tried the tikka masala pizza. Fun and inventive idea... much better than the naan pizza I had in Muskegon... however the sauce didn't taste as good as my homemade tikka masala base and though the pizza was tasty with varied texture, we found it somewhat lacked seasoning especially on the protein. If I were to construct it, instead of potato I would've had chicken, red pepper, cilantro, fresh avocado and pickled onion. Yum! To drink, I enjoyed a refreshing ginger Kombucha sourced from Walker Brothers in Nashville Tennessee. The kids loved their cheese pizza and cheese smash burger with fries and drinks. Overall, great first experience and would love to come back as it seems like they are constantly reinventing themselves with tasty morsels and brews. If you come, there is free parking in the back. If you love it here there is a $150 lifetime membership (not sure what that all entails but sounds special). Thanks 7 Monks, we will be back!
