My first experience here, I have to say it was top notch! Our server was really good, had a wry sense of humor, and didn't forget a THING. I had a chicken garden salad with French dressing, it was a good size, the other five people had various dishes that all looked tasty. I really liked the way the place was laid out, dark woods, cozy. My only complaint would be the old-fashioned I ordered, it was pretty small for $15 bucks. I guess I should know better trying to get a mixed drink in a restaurant these days. This sports bar is pretty unique in its food offerings and I'd been meaning to check it out for awhile. Nate and I were in the area recently so we stopped in for dinner. We were seated right away and our server was super helpful and had great recommendations. The menu is huge and everything sounded really good. They feature some things that you don't see elsewhere in town, like the Cudighi, which is a Yooper classic! Nate ordered that and I got the firecracker salmon bowl. I really enjoyed the food - the salmon bowl was a good portion and very fresh. I liked the veggies and the flavor was Asian-inspired. The Cudighi sandwich is basically a pizza sub with a spicy sausage patty that's been baked in mustard. It's unique and interesting, and Nate enjoyed it. We don't get to the NW side of town that often, but I would make a special trip to visit Roasted again. They have weekly specials and features, and a Saturday prime rib dinner! read more

My bestie and I decided to check out roasted tonight they had a lovely menu, their drinks were worth the price, and their food was very "on point" for the area. Most of all, we appreciated the hospitality and the fact that the food was good despite the Saturday rush. Note: waited 25 mins for our App like orders, which we thought was a bit long but it for mostly fried food in my own opinion!! This place is so busy that we went for the first time this week! Luckily it was a holiday weekend and we were seated right away. Our server Carmen was great! Although she was busy she gave us a lot of attention. My daughter and I shared the large rack of ribs for $32. The ribs were smoked and flavorful but a little dry. They came with a small portion of fries and a tiny cup of slaw. My husband loved the fish and chips which was a generous portion. Roasted has amazing specials most nights of the week: half off pizza, 1/2 off entrees for women on ladies night, burger and beer for $9 and prime rib dinner on Saturdays. It's a great menu in a location that has been many owners over the years. May they have better luck than the other restaurants. I believe that they will!! read more

Grateful they could accommodate a party of 8 at 5:30p on a Friday night! Friendly service seemed to be familiar with the longer wait for dinner. This place has two dinning areas, two bars. Food was good, expansive menu. Burger was decent, cold onion rings. Again this place got pretty slammed, we had great company so it was a nice dinner. Grateful for the easy parking, expansive menu and full bar. Gluten free pizza crust was a bonus find! We will visit again. read more

It was very loud in the main restaurant so we asked to sit in an area that was not open. We were told they were short on help and they couldn't seat in that section. I have a hearing impairment but we understood the issue. Once a couple larger groups paid their checks it was a bit quieter. Food was good. Not the best ribs but adequate. Salads were good and my husband had a sandwich which he said was just ok. I would probably not return as I enjoy a relaxing atmosphere and this was just too loud. read more

I would give 5 stars, except for false advertising on Specials. If you are gluten free (gluten sensitive but not celiac) you can enjoy gluten free options on the menu! But don't get your hopes up for Advertised Specials. On Ladies Night, an embarassment is waiting if you come with a friend for the Advertised Special, and then can't afford to eat, b/c the 1/2 off entree for ladies night "Special" does not apply to gluten free menu options. My friend was upset they did not honor the ADVERTISED SPECIAL for gluten free options. Thursday is 1/2 off pizza special. I convinced 2 friends to take me to Roasted, boasting of the 1/2 off pizza special (while bringing them new customers), after being misled to believe I could get 1/2 off gluten free pizza, b/c the Special states: 1/2 OFF PIZZA including specialty pizzas. But, I was told I COULD NOT GET THE 1/2 OFF PIZZA SPECIAL FOR GLUTEN FREE PIZZA, that the Special only applies to non gluten-free items. Humiliated and embarassed in front of my friends, I told the waitress, "it's not your fault, you just work here. But this is not right. I am walking out b/c of this. Please tell the owner this is how people react to the "Special exclusions." And I walked out. And walked home hungry without anything to eat, b/c I had gotten my hopes up for the Special, and then was denied the Special b/c I needed gluten free. This is FALSE ADVERTISING. To be true advertising, the Special should read "Ladies Night 1/2 off entrees EXCEPT GLUTEN FREE," and "1/2 off Pizza EXCEPT GLUTEN FREE." NOTE: They could STILL HONOR THEIR SPECIALS somewhat, and AT LEAST offer your entree 1/2 off, like the ADVERTISED SPECIAL STATES, and add the $2.00 surcharge for gluten free that they usually do on the menu, that would help. Why can't you get a burger with a gluten free bun on ladies night for half off, and pay the $2.00 surcharge for a gluten free bun when it's only $2.00 extra on regular non-speical nights, for example? It is rather embarassing and humiliating to customers who need gluten free, to state in writing and online advertising that they have a 1/2 off Special, only to bash the hopes of the customer when they come in to eat, in front of everyone, that you can't have the Special that was promised, if it is a gluten free option. A not very nice way to treat customers who need gluten free options. Everything else was great except for this, so they get 1/2 off their rating, b/c of false advertising of "1/2 off Specials" except for gluten free options. Since they do not forwarn anyone in advance, your dinner or outing plan might be ruined unless you are aware of this in advance. Because of this I went to Alfano's, as their gluten free pizza is LESS EXPENSIVE ($16.00 range as opposed to Roasted which is in the $26.00 range), and is acutally a gluten free grain crust, not a broccoli cheese crust. read more

Stopped by this place after reading some positive reviews. Sad to say that it did not live up to the hype! It was a Saturday night and was not all that busy and that should have been our warning. There were 3 of us. Our server was ok but a bit indifferent in their service. Our appetizer came out promptly and was a solid. Our entrees were a different story entirely. 50 minutes to get a couple sandwiches and chicken fingers! The food was nothing spectacular but also not bad. I don't know if they were short staffed in the kitchen but the wait was excessive and not one apology from the staff! Do yourself a favor and skip this place and find another place to spend your money. read more

There have been many incarnations of restaurants in this location, but I have to say this one far exceeded my expectations and is easily the best of the bunch. Friendly people excellent food in a fun environment. Our first visit the place was packed. It was a Thursday and a game night we snagged a couple of seats at the bar where we were waiting on by One of the owners and she was fantastic. Healing from the upper peninsula this is well translated into their menu. They have food and drinks hailing from the UP. We split the steak bites and a pizza all were delicious. The steak bites were tender and I love all of the blue cheese and butter. Pizzas are half off on Thursday And are very good for a restaurant that doesn't necessarily specialize in pizza. We finished off the evening with the suggested bread pudding bites, which were delicious and reminiscent of high-end carnival food. Our subsequent visit I enjoyed the fish and chips which was cooked expertly with the batter. Crisp but not greasy. My husband ordered the brisket bowl and said it was flavorful (but he stole quite a few bites of my fish and chips.) They offer loads of specials during the week and a very generous, happy hour we will definitely return! read more

I'm shocked they consider this a sports bar. Yes there are tv's that play sports but the food is AMAZING. We had a group of 25 and they had employees call in. Were there some minor service issues?....yep. But for such a large group the staff did excellent. We ordered the steak and bacon mac and the lobster mac so we could eat quickly on our way to kids hockey. Both were phenomenal......like on par with keystone bar and grill in Cincinnati (mac and cheese gods). Great place, great location, excellent service, and the food was 10000000% not what I was expecting. Coming back to try the Cudighi Miner sandwich when I have more time. Well done! read more

Wow! Thought we'd try this place for lunch. Had to go to the hardware store next door anyways. Bartender was amazing. Food SUCKED! I would get beat up if I tried offering to a homeless person. Took forever, was left under the heat lamp, fries were limp, and barbecue sauce to dip your buffalo chicken tenders in. Chicken was soooooooooo dry it was looking for an Oasis. First and last visit to this overpriced show. Now I am paying the price for choking down the 2 tenders and 1/2 the limp fries. It's coming out like Hot Lava. Would have thought more of this. Roasted is a prime example of a hometown sports bar. If you're looking for the classic bar & grill fare- this is your answer. There is an obvious upper peninsula touch with "Cudighi" on the menu, as well as drafts from 3 of the main breweries on the western end of the U.P. represented in their tap list. I had a 10 inch pepperoni pizza while here, which came in at 11.25$, and it was delicious. Good amount of cheese, appropriate amount of sauce, good crisp on the hand tossed crust, and the pepperoni was cooked to the point of "cupping". Televisions line nearly every square inch of bar space, and with their two bars, they can serve large groups with ease. The place looks new, with some renovations being completed within the past few years. The tables are nestled fairly close together, and on a Saturday night during some major college football games, the place was abuzz with first dates, family dinner outings and a handful of college fantasy footballers looking for a cold brew and some food. Their menu is fairly broad, with an emphasis on their burgers and barbecue. With Wagyu on the menu, there is a nod to some fine dining fanatics who may have wandered away from the hustle & bustle of downtown Grand Rapids. If this place was a few blocks from an inland lake in upper Michigan, it would be a Michelin-star restaurant to locals and tourists alike! read more

First, I really had high hopes and was expecting a great experience. We were there on a Sunday evening. I realize it's a sports bar, but it was extremely loud. You have to shout to the person across from you, so having a conversation was impossible. We both ordered the wagyu beef, and although it was very flavorful, everything was cold, and I don't mean Luke warm, I mean cold. We also added mushrooms and onions to the steak at $2 extra for each one, and it was very skimpy. They should be embarrassed to charge an extra $4 per person for the amount of onions and mushrooms that were served. Not exaggerating when I say I had 2 mushroom slices, and about 4 small strips of onion. Really disappointed. Probably won't be back. Westside Social is much better, and you can actually have a conversation. read more
