Patio area

My bestie and I decided to check out roasted tonight they had a lovely menu, their drinks were worth the price, and their food was very "on point" for the area. Most of all, we appreciated the hospitality and the fact that the food was good despite the Saturday rush. Note: waited 25 mins for our App like orders, which we thought was a bit long but it for mostly fried food in my own opinion!! The patio area is so cute also even though we didn't get to experience it!

This place is rockin' We joined the Dueling Piano party last night, so much fun! And these two ladies are the best!!! Happy Holidays-

Located in the former Local's location, Roasted has enhanced the menu. It's elevated bar based food but better. The bowls were incredible and had a great selection of classics with a twist. Large parking lot in back. Outdoor seating available but limited as fall approaches. Quick and kind service.

There have been many incarnations of restaurants in this location, but I have to say this one far exceeded my expectations and is easily the best of the bunch. Friendly people excellent food in a fun environment. Our first visit the place was packed. It was a Thursday and a game night we snagged a couple of seats at the bar where we were waiting on by One of the owners and she was fantastic. Healing from the upper peninsula this is well translated into their menu. They have food and drinks hailing from the UP. We split the steak bites and a pizza all were delicious. The steak bites were tender and I love all of the blue cheese and butter. Pizzas are half off on Thursday And are very good for a restaurant that doesn't necessarily specialize in pizza. We finished off the evening with the suggested bread pudding bites, which were delicious and reminiscent of high-end carnival food. Our subsequent visit I enjoyed the fish and chips which was cooked expertly with the batter. Crisp but not greasy. My husband ordered the brisket bowl and said it was flavorful (but he stole quite a few bites of my fish and chips.) They offer loads of specials during the week and a very generous, happy hour we will definitely return!

The best place in Walker. We've tried everything on the menu. I'm not sure what my favorite is but I have a few. You must try the bread pudding bites.

Bar seating is first come first served so I went right after work and got there about 4:45. There were a ton of seats open at the bar. A friend met me at 5pm. We were seated with Fin, the bartender. He was awesome- very attentive but not overbearing. I could tell when he was coming by to peek in on us but he never interrupted our conversation. He would glance over and check our drinks and pause, and then keep moving. I'm sure if I was alone he would've provided me with some banter, he seems nice enough. He recommended a cocktail - The Last Word. I've had one before and this one did not disappoint. The other drinks I had were the espresso martini and the New York sour- both favorites of mine and done very well by Fin. I love that this bar uses frosty glasses for their cocktails. It's a nice touch. I had to have the Wagyu meatballs. They're mentioned in many reviews and people at work agreed they're a must have. My friend wasn't very hungry so I ate 5 out of the 6 haha. The bread that comes w it is a focaccia that is his divine! I thought it was deep fried but it's just soaked in oil and then heated on the griddle. The meatballs are Wagyu 75/25 so kinda fatty but so smooth. They are served with a marinara sauce and ricotta. So good. Would get this again. The menu looks awesome but we were just there for drinks and snacks. Next time I'll make a reservation (Resy) and have dinner. Parking is typically awful. No valet. Bathrooms are multi sex unistalls, clean. The restaurant is noisy- maybe not a great first date spot. Seemed to be a lot of well to do people in the restaurant, based on the outfits and accessories I saw. Might be a place to meet someone new if it wasn't so loud and incredibly busy. It's hard to get a table during dinner hours especially if the weather is perfect. But try your best to get in. They do take walk ins and it's worth an hour wait.

Nate and I recently stopped in to try some of their new food menu and seasonal drinks. The new drink menu is Japanese themed, so we were excited since we went to Japan earlier this year. I got the alpenglow and Nate got the spicy margarita. Both were delicious and beautiful. We also got some happy hour snacks - the dijon sesame salad and the savory cream cheese wontons. Their happy hour is a great deal and I'd love to come back soon for that again. The salad was fresh and a big portion to share. The raw diced onion wasn't my favorite addition to the salad, but I did love the overall flavors. The savory cream cheese wontons were absolutely delicious - definitely very savory and crispy. I'd get these every time! The vibe inside at happy hour was pretty quiet but it can get packed as it's not a huge space. I am so glad that General Wood Shop is here and I'm looking forward to my next visit.

As a queer person, we have to protect our spaces by supporting them. The care that the staff lures into this place truly shows. The rotating menu, the affordable drink options, the ambiance and the way they truly take suggestions from their patrons. They have a new patio addition which has made the smaller spot feel larger aswell. Last fall, I came in on a whim by myself. Callie was my bartender (love), and they were deciding what to do with some Sloe Gin. Thus the "Femme Fatale" was born, there's something magical about watching a craft cocktail come together. Something even more magical about being able to NAME a cocktail at your favorite watering hole. GW is truly a beautiful addition to GR.

We had to wait about 10 minutes for our table to be ready. The drinks were okay for the price but not particularly memorable. The standout was the NY strip steak, which was easily the best part of the meal and really well done. We also ordered the beer battered fries to start and they were fine, nothing bad but nothing special about them either. My only real complaint is the limited menu availability. Two of the six entrées were already sold out by the time we got there, even though my partner made the reservation weeks in advance. I understand the realities of a farm to table model and respect the commitment to sourcing and seasonality, but on a fixed, high-demand holiday, the limited options were noticeable and slightly disappointing . Overall it was still a good experience, just one that could have been better with a bit more menu flexibility. Hoping to be back on a less busy day in the summer since I really want to love this restaurant!
