stopped in today for lunch with two of my work friends. Quickly and kindly greeted and sat in a booth table near the window. We ordered a different variation of the lunch special. I got half of the bacon, tomato, grilled cheese and a cup of the pumpkin maple bacon soup. The soup was absolutely delicious. cute lunch place highly recommend.

First time here and came in for lunch! We were seated quickly and our server was great about getting us our waters and food in a speedy manner since we only had an hour to be there. Greatly appreciated that! We ordered the pickle fries for an appetizer and I really liked how thin the pickles were! These were very tasty! My bf ordered the ham and cheese which he really liked and I tried the grilled cheese burger. It was so delicious but quite filling so I was only able to eat half there and saved the other half for another meal. I really enjoyed the fries as well! Definitely a great sandwich joint! Would love to return and try what else they have to offer on their menu!

Has a sports bar casual vibe. Found the Staff to be very attentive and friendly. Portions are generous which is alway nice with the higher price of eating out these days. Onion Rings were cooked perfect the onion didn't slide out while eating. I would prefer a drink list with prices Maybe they will offer that in the future. They have a happy hour but I can't say what a discount it is because there was no menu to compare. Also a fried chicken sandwich was ordered. While it was breaded and cooked crispy was lacking a little in flavor. I wanted a chicken salad they were out. I find it a little annoying when restaurants don't let you know when they are out of something. But this place is also getting up and running and it was our servers second day, lots to consider. Black bean burger had flavor was a little more crumbly than I would have liked, but I have eaten enough veggie burgers to know that happens. I'm glad this place is in Zeeland and would go back.

A newcomer to Zeeland's downtown eating scene, The Gritzmaker doesn't just copy the menu of any old sports bar. But the menu's also not high brow, so you can sit and enjoy a game while you sip bevvies and eat homemade nom noms. Scott's tots are winners in the app category. Easy to recommend their onion rings, too. Wide-cut onion rings are thick battered and don't pull out of their little batter case with each bite. And the pot roast hoagie eats like a French dip, as if your mom made a French dip with her homemade pot roast. Staff are friendly. Park on the street out front or along one of the side streets. I'm adding this to my Holland/Zeeland rotation.

You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The best onion rings - also the chicken skewers are awesome.

The menu is organized into different "chapters," with different themes for each chapter. They also have beer, wine, spirit-free options, and a spirits list. I wanted something fun, so I chose the Don the Beachcomber, a rum-based tiki cocktail that is flamed tableside. My friend got the Obstacle No. 1, which is a bourbon drink that they smoke at your table. Very theatrical and fun! These drinks were $20+ so pretty pricey, but worth it for a fun occasion. We had a nice time just relaxing and catching up. I would say it's not a great spot for a large group, but definitely a fun date night place. They have a small food menu of offerings from the restaurant next door that sounded tasty. We had just eaten but I'd be interested in their small plates. I'm so glad I got to experience this place. You can go to their website to get on the email list for the password each week or you can go to the host stand at Butch's and ask if there is available seating "downstairs". The two times I've done this, the host always understands. They pick up the phone and call downstairs to see if there's any open spots and let us go down there. There are stairs or you can take the elevator to the basement level. After you've arrived downstairs you can find the door with the black lock symbol and KNOCK THREE TIMES. They will let you in and welcome you to find a seat. They have a water station where you can help yourself and some tables and a couch and bar seating. The menu is pretty fantastic. I haven't had a drink that I dislike yet! The prices are a bit elevated but that's okay for a fancy drink imo. Hope you check out this gem if you're ever in Holland and want to go on a little adventure to find this place! Nate and I recently stopped in to try some of their new food menu and seasonal drinks. The new drink menu is Japanese themed, so we were excited since we went to Japan earlier this year. I got the alpenglow and Nate got the spicy margarita. Both were delicious and beautiful. We also got some happy hour snacks - the dijon sesame salad and the savory cream cheese wontons. Their happy hour is a great deal and I'd love to come back soon for that again. The salad was fresh and a big portion to share. The raw diced onion wasn't my favorite addition to the salad, but I did love the overall flavors. The savory cream cheese wontons were absolutely delicious - definitely very savory and crispy. I'd get these every time! The vibe inside at happy hour was pretty quiet but it can get packed as it's not a huge space.
