Very good food! Definitely one of the better restaurants in Holland. The food, fun atmosphere, and service makes it a destination for locals. You'll often find the parking lot packed at dinner time, so I recommend getting there early.

Meatloaf

The atmosphere here is deceptive. It truly does look Itty Bitty. With an small open air area with maybe 20 tables and a bar. With black walls and murals painted on them. It is eccentric. There's a single door on the back wall that I thought went to the bathroom and the kitchen. Turns out to be an even bigger restraint/bar side with even more tables and another bar area, this one all inside and the more classic bar look. They proudly call themselves a dive bar. I ordered the Bbq Wagyu Meatloaf ($22). This is a BBQ meatloaf with garlic mashed potatoes sided with roasted carrots, finished with mushroom gravy, topped with fried onions, and served with garlic toast. It comes in a small cast Iron pan with the mashed potatoes on the bottom, a okay size slice of meatloaf on top and finished with some gravy. I thought it was okay. It was probably better than average. I doubt I would order it again though. The mashed potatoes were also very average. Not smooth or creamy, but taste was again okay. Normally I don't like carrots, I did like these so there's that. The person I was with ordered the Itty Bitty Burger ($13). It was declared to be okay, but they'd had much better. Personally I thought it looked small. The service was very good. Very friendly and they kept my drink full. So the best part of visit. Overall a 3 star review. Would I return? No. This place was recommended to me. I'm glad some people love it, It's just not for me

Revisited: Nachos with Birria Beef.

I reviewed Itty Bitty on 10/2/2024. I couldn't help but think I was missing out on something great, and it's so close to home. I went back on Saturday, June 21. I had a completely different experience. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Our bartender said there was no cocktail menu, but she could most likely make anything we requested. She did! She made an excellent peach margherita, and a rum runner for my husband. Later on I ventured back to ordering the nachos on the menu. I can't help myself. I love nachos and the birria nachos were calling. These were completely different (thank goodness) from my first experience. I'm sold. We didn't try any other menu items on this visit, but we will return to try more.

Biked to Itty Bitty Bar from the state campgrounds. It's not itty bitty inside and they are self-proclaimed dive bar. Beautiful interior. Wasn't busy for a Saturday afternoon though it's still off season. Nine of us found seating and waited for service. Bartenders are running the service and fairly slow but it was ok. They were friendly and took care of us. The food was really tasty. The draft list is small and there was no other list of bottled beers. The sangria was too sweet for me. More like a cocktail w lemonade is what it tasted like. We would have ordered more drinks but the food came out in odd order and he got busy otherwise. The kids' burgers were perfect. Skip the pizza. I took one bite and wanted to spit it out. It looked really good but it was cardboard crust and tasteless. The mussels were spicy with the sausage and veg stuff in it. I just wanted mussels and they were fine enough. I left the other stuff behind. They could use a bike rack out front.

The itty bitty burger is delicious! Honestly an incredible burger

I went on a recommendation from a friend. The itty bitty burger is DELICIOUS! Like I housed that thing and almost forgot to take a picture for you all. Right after the first bite I could barely stop eating it. Delicious food, quick service. I highly recommend

Nice little place, food was good, nice variety on the menu. Had to wait about 15 minutes or so for a table to open up.

Good food for a dive bar. Always busy and a fun place! Fried fish and the burgers are good options.

Ordered the teriyaki bowl and imagine my surprise after a bite of warm rice the carrots were raw, and the tomatoes and edamame were cold. Still it was flavorful but should have indicated it was a cold dish. No many vegetarian options that weren't loaded with cheese. My husband got the smash burger and said it was tasty and hit the spot. The elotes queso street corn dip was tasty, the chips fresh but very salty.

I asked could my toddlers food come out with the appetizer and her response was "if it's ready," as she shrugged her shoulders. I also asked would it be possible to do all strawberries for my toddler sided, so she doesn't waste the other fruit... Her response was that it already comes premade and they can't separate the fruit. As it was brought out to the table (as we can see in the picture) it separated. Lastly, Annie asked the other tables around us if they would like dessert... We were not offered dessert at all. I failed to mention that we came to this restaurant to celebrate my birthday as we are traveling out of town. We had a great experience with the other staff; from the host, other servers, to Grant (who ran our food out), to who I think was the manager on the floor. We always choose to be peaceful in the restaurant, so I chose to not speak to anyone in management. They offer a percentage off of your meal for your birthday with a valid ID. I was so frustrated that I did not even want to mention we were there celebrating. The restaurant was very nice and I love you have a beautiful view while dining. The food was eh. I ordered the shrimp tacos and it was all breading. The shrimp was completely overcooked. Our crab cakes were decent. My husband ordered the tortellini and was not happy with it as it. My daughter did enjoy her pizza. If we were local in the area, we probably will not be back

After we sat down, we noticed dollar bills pinned to the walls and asked our waitress about it. She explained that the money goes toward helping people in the community who are going through hard times, health issues or other struggles. That alone says a lot about the heart behind this place. It is refreshing to see a restaurant genuinely give back. Then I opened the menu and was pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the prices were. I ordered the prime rib with a side salad, and our waitress strongly suggested hashbrowns for my second side. Thankfully, I listened. The prime rib was cooked perfectly, the salad was solid for a steakhouse, but those hashbrowns were the real star. Crispy on top and perfectly cooked in the middle, they were downright addictive. Great food, great people, and a place that actually cares about its community. I will definitely be back.

Did you know there is a speakeasy in Holland?…read more Right below Butch's Dry Dock downtown Holland you can find a small dim lit cocktail bar! You can go to their website to get on the email list for the password each week or you can go to the host stand at Butch's and ask if there is available seating "downstairs". The two times I've done this, the host always understands. They pick up the phone and call downstairs to see if there's any open spots and let us go down there. There are stairs or you can take the elevator to the basement level. After you've arrived downstairs you can find the door with the black lock symbol and KNOCK THREE TIMES. They will let you in and welcome you to find a seat. They have a water station where you can help yourself and some tables and a couch and bar seating. The menu is pretty fantastic. I haven't had a drink that I dislike yet! The prices are a bit elevated but that's okay for a fancy drink imo. Hope you check out this gem if you're ever in Holland and want to go on a little adventure to find this place! My only complaint is the basement area smells a little funky but inside the bar was fine. But otherwise it's totally amazing and worth the experience! The people working here are great too! So kind'

The five of us all tried something different, from cocktails with absinthe and flaming sugar cubes, to vodka infused fruity drinks, and even a simple red wine. Our bartender had been working here for a couple years, so he knew the specials and was quick with his work. A real mix of customers from a college student to a couple of workmates, our family, and another group of friends further back. It's a small place which makes it cozy but a little hard to get into at times; we had to wait 20 minutes for enough free seats. We'll be back; it was fun!
