They had some sauces that were interesting, as well as some thinly sliced apple (perhaps an homage to the orchard where the restaurant is located). It was a little sweet but good. For my entree, I had the walleye: crispy rice cereal and parmesan coated, cedar roasted and served with maple carrots, duck fat poached and fried potatoes, tarragon aioli, and almond romesco. The dish was good but just a bit sweeter than I prefer with the sweet carrots. I tried some of Nate's smoked pork mac, which was tasty but the tomato jam was way too sweet for me. Can you tell I like savory things? My parents both got the spring pasta which looked delicious. Our server was very sweet and patient and overall I did like the experience. I think I'd order a bit differently next time but this is a really nice addition to the area!

I got the alpenglow and Nate got the spicy margarita. Both were delicious and beautiful. We also got some happy hour snacks - the dijon sesame salad and the savory cream cheese wontons. Their happy hour is a great deal and I'd love to come back soon for that again. The salad was fresh and a big portion to share. The raw diced onion wasn't my favorite addition to the salad, but I did love the overall flavors. The savory cream cheese wontons were absolutely delicious - definitely very savory and crispy. I'd get these every time! The vibe inside at happy hour was pretty quiet but it can get packed as it's not a huge space. She returned about 10 minutes later, only to give a vague answer that "most drinks were gluten-free" without offering an actual recommendation or helpful suggestion. You can go to their website to get on the email list for the password each week or you can go to the host stand at Butch's and ask if there is available seating "downstairs". The two times I've done this, the host always understands. They pick up the phone and call downstairs to see if there's any open spots and let us go down there. There are stairs or you can take the elevator to the basement level. After you've arrived downstairs you can find the door with the black lock symbol and KNOCK THREE TIMES. They will let you in and welcome you to find a seat. They have a water station where you can help yourself and some tables and a couch and bar seating. The menu is pretty fantastic. I haven't had a drink that I dislike yet! The prices are a bit elevated but that's okay for a fancy drink imo.
