    Lemon tart with Chantilly cream

Such a lovely lunch today at Dog & the Bank! Incredibly delicious turkey pesto BLT, with layers of grilled sourdough filled with piquant pesto, lush burrata, seasoned bacon, artichoke puree, plus lettuce and tomato. (Don't order this on a date--it's very messy, but so worth it!) The Little Jerry Goes to Austin sandwich was also very good--crispy chicken on a bed of creamy coleslaw. I can't wait to order this again! My friend ordered a lemon tart with Chantilly cream, which was fluffy, sweet, and the graham cracker crust was great, too! We will definitely be back!

The food was AMAZING!! The pesto turkey BLT was so delicious. The bacon is thick and so flavorful. The red pepper Artichoke Puree is so smooth and creamy. The drinks were great. We tried the Strawberry Fields and the Summer mule. Both were great but the Summer mule was my favorite. Last but not least....Little Jerry Goes to Austin chicken sandwich is the best chicken sandwich I have ever tasted in my life. I literally dream about this chicken sandwich. And the homemade chips are so delicious. They are crunchy a little bit spicy but sweet. I went back a second time and brought my grandson just so he could try the chicken sandwich and he also thinks it's the best chicken sandwich he's ever tasted.

I had really high hopes for this place since i was told it's the sister spot for Bird dog on a casual level. But a lot of the food fell flat. The highlight were the pot of gold, the bread and lobster chowder. The pasta was pretty bland, oysters were a bit fishy . Quite a wait time on a Saturday night and they did not take reservations (weren't answering phone calls either to estimate wait time prior to arrival). It's a cool, dimly lit, casual restaurant but overall kind of cold (temperature and service wise).

We have been 3 times so far and have a variety of different items. The atmosphere is very pleasant inside and out. Today we tried the fish & chips sandwich and the steak sandwich. My favorite item so far has been the steakhouse smash burger.

I came with a group of 8, and we comfortably sat in the middle near the entrance. If you tend to get cold easily I would not suggest sitting there because every time someone opens the door it gets quite drafty. The oysters are raw and come with an adorable little bottle of Tabasco with an entire half a lemon to squeeze onto them. The firecracker wings have a cheese on top that is fragrant so be aware of that when you purchase. The pot of gold with Crab, Fondue, Texas Chili Oil, and slices of Focaccia was decent although a little lacking in flavor. The stars of the show for appetizers would have to be the Brussels sprouts and Chinois Soba Noodle Salad. The salad is the perfect thing to share with a group, it was so good I got it as my main course and added the U-8 BBQ Shrimp that has a bit of a kick to them(: The Ora King Salmon was done to perfection; we were able to get it with the crab-fried rice! Sliced Filet Mignons Parmesan Risotto had the entire table happy. I love the ambiance, the layout, and the colors on the walls. The bathrooms are so vibrant and unique and there is plenty of parking. They do not offer a military discount. There is outdoor seating! No reservations so first come first serve. They make food behind the bar area which is cool to watch if you are seated on the back. They have a dish pit/bussing area that is quite noisy so just don't get startled by the noise because the restaurant is busy!

Came back with a bigger party. The food was good. My wife loved the vegetarian cauliflower dish. It seemed to have a sweet Asian like sauce to it. She received it very hot. I had the grouper. It was very tasty but unfortunately is was lukewarm when I ate it. That's the rub on this visit. We came in a party of four double date. But every drink and plate of food came separately. I'm sure my fish sat aside waiting to get served. I won't change the 4 stars down and may give this place one more shot.

Went for lunch on a Tuesday. The staff was very friendly and the food delicious. I love how you remodeled the space too. Beautiful

The food here is creative, delicious and generous. After a good hike, we thoroughly enjoyed the turkey pesto BLT and double smashburger! Thank you!

Ambience and service was perfect! Loved the low lights, gorgeous bar and accents and the building itself. The food was great but not amazing as we were expecting...I ordered the burger which was pretty good and my partner had the filet mignon but was less impressed. The apple pie a la mode dessert was delicious, though! We will be back to try other items...I want to try the Otto's Chicken on our next visit because the table next to us had it and it looked very good!!

With that said...I was beyond impressed!! From my first phone call, to make a dinner reservation (on the day of) for a table of 5 for my birthday, through to the most delectable dessert (huge selection of fresh, pastry chef created desserts), the service, entrée, appetizer and martini was out of this world. And the ROLLS. Warm, soft and beyond delicious. When we looked online at the menu and saw the prices; at first it was a real "eye roll". WORTH EVERY CENT! Very generous portions for every course. The feedback I would offer on the haricot vert (green beans).is they were not just al dente but very hard to bite into. Fingerlings not flavorful and mostly tasteless. Minor details when looking at the total meal and experience. We asked that the lighting be dimmer and our amazing server, Taylor was pleasant and accommodating. In fact, every motion and explanation of menu items was kind, pleasant and professional. When she approached the table, she was respectful before speaking and did NOT just breeze by with an intrusive screech of "everything ok guys?". Frankly, we tip more when a server is available and not overbearing. She was a 5 star server! Offering to pack our leftovers for us in the kitchen with a note on the box stating what was inside and a "happy birthday" on mine. A lit candle came out on my HUGE portion of tiramisu. Then the remaining desserts came to thd table that were also very generous in size and better than the usual "homemade". Cheers to the pastry chef and ALL the chefs in the kitchen. And, most of all, to the owners that clearly are committed to quality and integrity. Knowing that our server has been in your employ for 14 years speaks volumes! If you (the reader) think that this fantastic experience is out of your budget...skip a couple Starbucks or fast food lunches and it won't take you long to save enough to enjoy a beautiful lunch or dinner at Four Roses. Our waitress was very friendly greeted us offered us drinks, my husband got a beer and water for me. We looked over the menu and asked for recommendations. My husband ordered the big Lake breeze beef, and it came with a scoop of sweet potatoes, regular potatoes, and green beans. The meat was so tender he could cut it with a fork and he licked the plate clean. I ordered the chili wrapped flank steak with Gorgonzola cream and jalapeño relish. I was asked if medium rare is OK for the steak, but when it did come out, it was more on the rare side. The jalapeño relish was not too spicy, the meal really was delicious. we can never visit without getting dessert! my husband ordered the peanut butter pie, it was a huge portion and he absolutely loved it. I ordered the ice packs lemon pie, which is more of a custard, and it came with the homemade whipped cream. It was very good. We can never leave without getting a piece of the traditional cheesecake to go. I couldn't believe how busy the restaurant was for Wednesday night. I was glad that we had a reservation. The service is always exceptional in the food is great highly recommend to anyone in the area.

I wanted something fun, so I chose the Don the Beachcomber, a rum-based tiki cocktail that is flamed tableside. My friend got the Obstacle No. 1, which is a bourbon drink that they smoke at your table. Very theatrical and fun! These drinks were $20+ so pretty pricey, but worth it for a fun occasion. We had a nice time just relaxing and catching up. I would say it's not a great spot for a large group, but definitely a fun date night place.
