Brass Ring Brewing - Four tap beer engine.

English style brewpub and a favorite for the locals. Huge fan of their rotating Cask Marque beers,…read moreso make sure to ask what's on tap for the day. Atmosphere is always bumping--there's live music and other themed nights and it was jam packed on a Tuesday night. Vibes and beers are unmatched in my opinion. Big fan of the Golden Ticket and the Wilde Irish Red Ale or again, whatever is on cask. As far as the food goes, it's definitely... brown plates all around. Fryz'licious was slightly overpowering with the amount of beer cheese slopped on there, but a good bite with some hot sauce. Big fan of the beer cheese. Those Nantucket Backing pretzels are 10/10. Fish and chips weren't great. Not a lot of fish--two pieces with more batter than cod. Sort of disappointed with that. St. Patrick's Day specialty menu replaced their chicken pot pie with a sheperd's pie and a Bailey's cheesecake. Sheperd's pie was a good bite, exactly what I'd imagine lamb, mashed potatoes, and peas/carrots would taste like. Cheesecake was heavy handed on the booze, but a good palette cleanser after all the fried food.

I'll start this by saying I didn't have any food, we pretty much came here to try the beer. We were…read moregreeted by Conner, who honestly made this the best end to our day trip to Grand Rapids. Conner is passionate about their beers and informative. He made our beer tasting fun and gave us so much information about cask beer. The variety is great, based on English and Irish grains. The cask- a must get. They hand pull 4 varieties along with their draft. Great stuff. Ask how it's made- super interesting. The brewery is located in a plaza, quaint and quiet-so don't overlook it. Ask for Conner if he's there- and thanks for a great end to our trip!

I have worked in food service my entire life (over50 years) and never encountered this. Fish was breaded, fried and hard as a rock. Couldn't cut it with a fork. The french fries were served soggy and old and the mac was stale, literally zero flavor, not even cheese flavor. The buns on my sandwich were nasty, had to take them off to enjoy the pulled pork. Even though the menu said you can substitute mac for the fries they upcharged me $3, and when I asked about it the manager said "sorry the menu is confusing, I'm trying to tell management to change it" but wouldn't take it off the bill. How have I never heard of this place?! Found on Yelp, decided to give it a try and do glad we did!…read moreNot a big beer/cider/seltzer drinker so can't comment on that but have a nice menu of mocktails and craft sodas. Food menu has lots of good options including smash burgers, salads, Mac & cheese and various sandwiches. Service was good, Ryan was great with suggestions. I had the NY Reuben with a side of Brussel sprouts, hubby had a Blue Cheese Smashburger with Chili lime fries. Both sandwiches were huge, generous sides, hot and delicious! We will be back for sure!!!

We were seated quickly, the interior was nicely decorated with Mardi Gras beads. It took a while for our server to come to greet us and eventually bring our drinks. I enjoyed the variety of drink offerings! I was torn between a few items and asked the servers recommendation. I ended up choosing a Korean chicken bowl. The flavors were okay but for almost $20 felt a bit lackluster. Our friends told us the burgers are a must try so maybe in the future that would be what I try instead. Our server seldom came to our table, we had to flag her down to order more drinks and even then she forgot and we had to remind her we placed another drink order. The restaurant was not very busy and we could see her chatting with a table that seemed like employees or family members of employees as people were coming in and out of the kitchen to sit at the table. We had a table of four (two couples) and the server would not split our bill which was fine but a bit inconveniencing. I appreciate local, family owned businesses but felt that our experience was a bit off on this night. I love the mission of Two Guys and their community engagement so I will likely try them again, it could've just been a rough night.
