Too full for ice cream but never for a bit of chocolates. Grabbed some assortments of chocolates. Buckeyes, caramel sticks, milk chocolate peanut butter cups and toffees, dark chocolate toffees and a some peanut butter bark or bar too. The buckeyes and toffees were good. Too bad the mango cooler isn't made with fresh mangoes. read more

Ice Cream way to sweet and creamy almost taste fake. Service was great but for the ridiculous prices they charge, they should roll out a red carpet and walk you to your car! Ambiance, in downtown Holland, the ambiance should be spot on! .44 lb of fudge, $11.00!! One small scoop of ice cream, in a cup is $7.99 are you kidding me??? Honestly, the confections there are no better than in Frankenmuth, I don't mind paying for quality, but they literally bend you over taking full advantage of you.................NEVER will enter one of their stores again! read more

I mean, it's a great store of wonderful confectioneries! Great chocolate and other candy delights. Not sure how this place could be lies than five stars! read more

Good selection of ice cream flavors and even a better selection of chocolate and fudge. Very convenient location on a corner, the employees provided courteous service and there were a lot of places to sit and eat. The prices were higher than some of the competition, but the unique flavors of the ice cream are not available at most places. read more

The store was very nice The ice cream was very overpriced, one scoop over seven dollars Didn't taste any different than ice cream from the local supermarket Staff was very friendly read more

The delightful aroma of confections hits as soon as we all entered this charming sweet shop. Staff were helpful & friendly, such a plethora of flavors to chose from! We bought chocolate fudge, chocolate covered pretzels, and caramel coated apples. The caramel was nice, apple generously coated, practically a meal in itself. Would like to try a different flavor next time, the salted chocolate caramel apple looked gorgeous, so many choices! Same with the fudge, there is something for everyone. This shop is a community gem! read more

This is an ice cream and it's sort of ironic I'm writing this because I'm the one who was a bit skeptical of this place and didn't want to order. Instead, I found myself taking scoops from my girls and wife and nicely surprised at how good the ice cream is! read more

There are so many treats to choose from. Everything is fresh, you can see them making fudge in the front. It's clean and smells amazing. We have to go here anytime we go to Holland. read more

The chocolate is so silky smooth. The cashew turtles are my favorite. Yes, the price per pound is expensive. It's okay to splurge on a little chocolate. Kilwin's also serves ice cream with generous portions. read more

It was a Monday evening and this place was pretty packed, so we had to see what the type was all about. They serve a variety of desserts, we ordered a couple scoops of cookies and cream ice cream. The scoops were very large and flavor was smooth. Looking forward to trying some other flavors and dessert varieties. Best, Charlie read more

What a great sweets and ice cream shop! The ladies that were working when my family can in were so nice and let us sample different flavors before my family got ice cream and I got an apple pie caramel apple. They cut it up for me to make it easier to eat and it was so so so good. Probably one of the best caramel apples I've ever had. Everything looked really good! read more

Such good service! I'm not from the Midwest, but these folks brought "Midwest Nice" to a whole new level! We opted for ice cream, which was delicious and generous. The chocolate assortment looks wildly good, and the fudge looks incredible. They went out of their way to sample us some fudge, despite us saying we didn't think we could purchase any that visit. Got checked on numerous times, staff started conversations, asked us about our day, talked about their products and the store, etc. Such nice people, and the treats here are delicious as well. Definitely a win win! read more

We had ice cream, and it was delicious. The staff did a great job taking care of us. The price was fair for what we got.

So I'm a chocolate aficionado & when I travel I will always look for the best chocolate in the area. Kilwins fits the bill. Used to be Kilwins was only available in certain areas, but today I can find it in my home state of Illinois. It's very good old school chocolate, creamy and rich & no waxy texture. If you like chocolate, this is a good choice. read more

A sweet tooth heaven! You cannot help yourself, but go in this shop while you're in downtown Holland, Michigan. We passed this store with no intentions of buying anything, but their displays were so enticing one cannot help himself/ herself me included to go in and check the store. Oh my, what a mistake. There's so many options. The store had everything you can ask for that has sugar, milk and chocolate- fudge, ice cream, coffee, sherbet/ sorbet, chocolate samplers, etc. I end up buying more than I need, but everything was so go, even the waffle cones were so fresh and crunchy. I will definitely go back there again before we live town. read more

Fabulous ice cream and they even brewed fresh coffee for me! A bit pricey...but worth it for the waffle cones. You can also watch them make fudge. We went twice in a row! read more

We went in on vacation, had a lot of options and candies. Workers were friendly. The chocolates were very rich

We tried the turtle ice cream and it was really good, caramel was blended well so it wasn't too sweet. They have a lot of ice cream flavors to pick from, I was just bummed they were not serving their apple pie flavor that was still on their website menu. We also got a taffy Apple which they offered to cut for us, which was much appreciated as they're so hard to eat on the stick. read more

Terrible service, limited to two samples my home kilwin's in downtown Plymouth is much better because it is owned and ran by my father. Do not recommend this location read more

Oh, Kilwins, I wish I could love you. Your ice cream flavors are imaginative. They taste of real sugar without tasting overly sugary. If only your prices were within my reach. But for the price of a single scoop, I could get a pint of Ben and Jerry's. For the price of a double scoop - two pints. Wait, say what? I've never seen a place that charges multiple dollars, plural, per added scoop. Most of the cost is in the service. You're giving me about 50 cents worth of ingredients on your average-sized scoop, so you should not be charging a whole lot more than that for the quantum of service it requires. I've never had to pay more than $5 for two scoops before. This is 5 star quality, but I'm not coming back here or any other Kilwins. I'm not royalty, and I know I can find similar quality for more reasonable prices. (Yes, they are a chocolate place. Some of their chocolates are over $20/lb. Wait, say what? The. Most. Expensive. Chocolates around here are under that amount. Again, I'm not paying 150% hyperinflated prices.) read more

What more could you want from the streets of Holland? A chocolate shop? You got it. Kilwin's delivers, in every way. They made their own fudge...right infront of you and the passerbys walking on the street. I mean, let's be honest, that's how I was drawn in. It took me awhile to decide what I wanted, but I settled for some pretzel sticks covered in chocolate and caramel. yum yum. The fudge looked great. They had a buy 2 get 1 free deal, but it was a little pricey. $11-$13 per slab. You could buy in half slabs, too. They had chocolate, penaut butter, turtle, Chocolate almond...If you want to see/taste for yourself, maybe you should stop by... They had ice cream with dipped waffle cones and all the other types of chocolate you can imagine (like marshmallows, graham crackers, or rice krispies covered in chocolate, yes please!) read more

Their waffle cone and waffle cup are freshly made and warm. A great place to go if you have a sweet tooth.

If you're in Holland, you definitely should go try this place out. It is right across New Holland Brewery and is always crowded. They have so many flavors of icecream and it is such a task to decide which one to go for... their icecream is rich, thick and creamy and the ones I would recommend are Holland Mud, Toasted Coconut and Chocolate Cashew. Apart from ice creams, they also have variety of chocolates and fudge. The ambiance of this icecream place is perfect to go hang out with friends or a nice chat with your loved one by the fireplace. read more

This place screams high-end, yet approachable and children friendly. Strange how those go together, but they do. The nice thing is they offer more than just chocolates, there were candy apples, various concoctions of hot beverages, fudge - all things sweet. Like most of the reviews here, it can be pricey, but it is a $$$plurge in this cute shoppe - yes, I need the fancier text of "shop". read more

Being a native Michigander always take the opportunity to stop at a Kilwins if I can. They just have really good ice cream, and of course chocolates and other sweets. Granted, they are fairly expensive but the quality is there. Whether you're looking for a delicious popcorn that is gourmet and drizzled with chocolate or caramel, or you just want some fudge, ice cream, a truffle, or something else amazing you should definitely stop in. This particular location is very nice in comparison to a few others I've been too. There is one that I have frequented in the Petoskey area that of course is delicious, but this one in Holland is much bigger than and much nicer. If you can see past the high price to get your sweet fix then you will be in heaven. read more

I stopped in during the offseason and maybe that was the problem. We typically frequent the Saugatuck location in the summer time and have always been pleased. The gentleman working was standoffish and didn't seem thrilled to cut a pound of fudge for me. I took it back to Indiana and the wife was happy and said it tasted just like the fudge she's had previously from Kilwins so all is well. But lil homie working the counter needs to get a little more personality! read more

This is an ice cream review only. The chocolates look great but I'm not really into the boutique chocolate thing and they make caramel apples which I will try come apple season. Dear Ice Cream, Where is your flavor? I want an ice cream that packs a punch of taste, not something where I wouldn't be able to tell what flavor it is if my eyes were closed. Also, what's with the excessive food coloring? You'll look and taste better if you're dressed naturally. Finally, there is no excuse for not having Jimmies (chocolate sprinkles). read more
