Great location across the pier. Busy. Soft yogurt with various topics. Bonus, available swing seating

Just walked around Grand Haven and we saw this place. Got two scoops of ice cream and it was the biggest scoops of ice cream ever! $6.50 for two scoops which was more than enough ice cream for the two of us splitting. It was delicious!

Yogurtland in SoCal is still my first yogurt love, but I'm impressed by Pump House. We walked by on a hot July afternoon and stopped in for a cool treat. I LOVED the yogurt dividers they have handy as I like to keep my flavors/toppings separate! I haven't seen this at any other froyo spot, so +1 for The Pump House! For some reason, I couldn't find an original tart flavor when I went. But, my friend found it in the middle somewhere. Regardless, all the flavors were pretty tasty! I wish they would've checked out a little bit faster though. My yogurt was melting and I feel like it was getting heavier by the second. Since they charge by oz, I hope this is something they improve on because I've never seen froyo melt this quickly. 208/365

This place has changed hands a couple times over the years but this was actually the first time I had been in. We met up with a friend who was vegan and was hoping to get some vegan ice cream or soft serve for dessert, so we ventured in to check it out. It's your typical froyo place, it's $0.54 per ounce which is a little pricey but not so much for Grand Haven. I tried three different froyo flavors and most of them are good. They also have a variety of toppings to choose from, including fresh fruit for my vegan friend. Another friend noticed that in the back of the place you can get regular ice cream, and they're also selling that trending cookie dough now, which is safe to eat without cooking. That looks really good, we saw a few people walk away with that. If you're on a date or with your significant other they also have very cute little porch swings to sit in and you can people-watch while doing so.

Since I am a traditionalist, I always think of this place as "the office furniture store that serves food now." I had never been there before until I was in Grand Haven in late September looking for dessert. All of the usual ice cream places were either closed for the day or closed for the season so I de died to check out the "office furniture" place. They have hard ice cream and a frozen yogurt bar. How does a fro-yo bar work during a pandemic? Service is cafeteria style so there is no self serve and you pay by size rather than by weight. You can have as many toppings as you want as long as they fit in the dish. The guy who helped us was good about listening to instructions like "half of a spoonful" and "just a couple". They have indoor seating and two picnic tables outside.

such a ridiculous waste of money! $9-$10 per kid is legit BS and they were so rude and disrespectful! Just an awful experience.

The service was excellent, the staff was super friendly. Ambiance is great, clean and nice. I learned a little history about this place at the surf shop today. The owner used to work for them and then had the opportunity to buy it. She also bought another shop in town when the owner's children didn't want the business. They make the chocolate for it. Give them a try at this location or their other location by Culver's.

I walked in and my little brother was already drooling at the smell of the store. Somehow you can smell the ice cream. There is a radius around the store where you can smell it. It's impressive. Maybe the body heat of all the workers creates a special environment that blasts the fumes of the store outdoors. But who knows. My little brother kept saying waffle bowl. His eyes rolled back and he said it again. Waffle bowl. Waffle bowl. Waffle bowl. His eyes were completely turned back and it was like a spirit spoke through him. Cappuccino crunch waffle bowl. I told him that I was going to get a waffle cone, and then he turned around, and then his neck spun on an axis toward me. The lights began flickering and all I could see were the whites of his eyes rolled back. They began to turn red and swell and then he quickly turned around, his neck snapped back and his eyes went down. The lights came back on and the workers were still there asking if we were ready. "Cappuccino crunch is pretty good. Get a waffle bowl." Said my brother as if nothing happened. Traumatized I just got the waffle cone, because my ego could not back down. But I did get cappuccino crunch. The rest of my family got other ice creams piled atop cones and waffle cones, and they were all smalls. Small gets you three scoops atop a waffle cones. On the Fourth of July, I couldn't imagine anything more American. They give you one to two napkins and there are napkin holders with more. I grabbed a few. My IQ is 180 so I ate my cappuccino crunch with ease. It dripped on the ground but never onto my hand. Smoothly I licked the cone all the way till it was gone and then took my final crunch. Man that was good. Between a cappuccino and heath candy, this was the fusion I never knew I needed. Like an affogato from the candy shop, but not too sweet. My intelligence often limits me from enjoying simple pleasures, but this scratched the itch for me. I am a world renowned track athlete, and this was my first cheat day in 4 years. I treat cheat days like bachelors degrees. If I can't go that long, it's worth nothing. Paul's uncle was our cashier, and after the maze of employees scurried around each other like Times Square in NYC, they piled the ice cream up with ease. If I counted right, I think I saw 20 workers in there. Quite the operation. My little brother smiled at me as I ate my ice cream with ease. No mess. However, with his bowl, he was the only one beside me that didn't spill it all over himself. We tied for first. He sat in his chair and laughed away as everyone else spilled soft serve down their shirts. "Waffle bowl." He said as he sucked his ice cream down like a black hole. Great times with fam

And, could easily be overlooked if you're not actively seeking it out. Often, there's only one person in line ahead of us, prices are always reasonable, and the sizes never disappoint! They do have a few benches and picnic tables out front of the shop if you're interested in getting out of your car, but be aware, the lot is rather small! It has plenty of food options (hot meals/snacks & sweet treats), including a variety of dairy free options. There are even treats for doggos! Truly my favorite thing about this place is that there is a small grass area around the back with a little playground for kids. It is enclosed with bushes & oak trees, and has a handful of picnic tables - great for families that are looking for a little privacy or just some shade!! Though the playground could use a little up keeping and maintenance, it was just so nice to sit down and have a moment relaxing with my family on a hot summer day. Though the ice cream was pretty average, the experience as a whole is what makes this place fun. I would go back just for the charm this place provided.
