Wow! Their ice cream was grrrreat. So delish and creamy. So many flavors to choose from, they even have a top 10 list all time faves. They not only have ice cream but fudges, popcorns, caramel apples etc. They are observing social distancing, everyone was masked and friendly. Hope to be back

Kilwins is, without a doubt, my favorite place to get ice cream. My heart decided on that 2 years ago and it hasn't changed ever since! My boyfriend and I frequently make day trips around the state and my first question is always "Does this trip involve ice cream?" I didn't know Kilwins was even in Grand Haven, so boy was I surprised when we walked right by! I was giddy knowing I was getting my favorite ice cream that day. This location does not having a public restroom and it definitely gets busy at sunset, which is to be expected in a beach town. Prices are similar to other Kilwins. 2 single scoops waffle cones run you about $10. They also carry a wide assortment of their famous chocolates and fudges so keep that in mind. I recommend the hazelnut truffle, which is so rich in flavor. My go-to ice cream is marshmallow s'more. I got my usual waffle cone and was slightly disappointed they didn't fill it very full. It definitely looked like maybe they didn't have enough ice cream to fill it like normal. If that was the case, simply ask if I want to add a different flavor or give me 50 cents off. Sadly, however, I paid almost $5 for a barely full waffle cone. I ended up throwing away the top of my cone so I could enjoy my ice cream. Waffle cones are fresh and always so tasty! Overall a great stop in Grand Haven! I'll be back next time!

Nice little ice cream shop with tons of flavors. They do not have non diary flavors but they did have other treats. Lots of chocolates , fudge, peanut brittle and all types of candied & Carmel popcorn. Mt Daughter and her friend got Georgia peach & pistachio. They loved it . I got pecan tuttles & cashew tuttles very good rich in flavor as well. Another little spot to try in Grand Haven MI

Met up with a friend for brunch at Morning Star recently. It was my first time visiting and I was…read moreexcited since breakfast/brunch is my favorite meal to order out! There was a bit of a wait but they have a little area to sit and browse the menu. The place is cozy and homey, a bit crowded but not too bad. Our server was really helpful and kind. I ordered a coffee, and they have alcoholic options if you'd like a bloody mary, spiked coffee, mimosa, etc. I liked that they brought me my own little carafe for the table. We ordered a blueberry pancake for the table, and I got the tree hugger (zucchini, yellow squash, tomato, mushroom, baby spinach, black beans, and cheese, served over diced redskin potatoes. I also added eggs. The pancake was fluffy and sweet, and very large which was great for us to split. I really wanted some vegetables so I was very happy with the tree hugger. It was cheesy and warm, and all the veggies were delicious. I added some hot sauce which made it perfect! My friend got the breakfast burrito which looked really good. I'm glad I got to try this spot and would come back! They do have a lunch menu during the week as well (it said lunch items are limited on weekends).

This is a local favorite. But if you're not local, let me give you a review…read more I have mixed feelings about this place. First off let me point out that there is no private parking lot for this place. This is no big deal if you're from a bigger city like GR, Chi or NYC. But if you're from a smaller town like Muskegon, Coopersville or Fremont where every business has their own private lot this might be a major inconvenience to you. park across the street or on the street if you can find a spot. I was patronizing MSC on a very cold day. This old location has no air lock on the front door, so everytime it opens to let customers exit or enter....the cold air rushes in. Keep that in mind when choosing your table. The restaurant has a warehouse feel to it, similar to the Blue Porch on Beacon Blvd. If you like that style....great. If not you have to deal with acoustics, and a cold drafty feeling, especially in the Winter. Food was actually in line with other restaurants in town unless you want to start getting fancy with the "specials." Believe me, those specials are very popular. Especially the waffle/pancake dishes that are similar to a super sweet dessert at 2000 calories. The last time I was there, the server was friendly, but because of the layout of the dining room, they have a hard time keeping an eye on the tables. So getting a coffee refill or a request for something becomes a waiting game. Overall the food is presented very well and is tasty.
