This was my first time at Captain Sundae and I had a great experience! I ordered a small scoop of mint chip and got a great portion size for only $4. The staff were nice and friendly and the ice cream came out quickly. It was a cute outdoor setting with benches to sit and a little statue of a captain. Will definitely be coming back at some point this summer!

The go-to for Sundaes and ice cream in the Holland area! They have a bazillion different options and they all taste great! Their service is always quick and they put on a smile, no matter how busy they are. Ambiance is a fun family friendly environment. The one in North Holland even has a mini golf course! Today I got their pulled pork for $4.5 or so and it tasted how I expected. Tasted like a GFS packaged meat and over sauced, but it wasn't bad for wanting a quick bite of real food.

I've been coming to Captain Sundae since as long as I could remember. My grandma and I used to ride our bikes over to get ice cream when I visited and it's one of those things I like to do when I visit Michigan. The ice cream was great, the atmosphere felt the same and it was nice to come back and be just as excited to visit again.

Just a shout out to the staff at Zeeland and Ottawa Beach for providing a fun time for my grandkids and grandpa and some great ice cream. Have a great winter .

Perfect place to get icecream in the summer. Fast service and delicious options to choose from. It is all outdoor, order outdoor and outdoor seating only. Currently surrounded by construction but still worth the visit in my opinion.

Excellent ice cream. Fun little location on where two roads split. Pretty busy but they were quick. I wasn't sure about the Michigan pot hole and they offered a very large spoonful to try it. It was good! Double scoop sugar cone and my wife had the tommy turtle and she loved it. Good place to finish our date.

Great place to go for ice cream! They now have a drive through, how cool is that! Just need to bring back the strawberry soft serve.

Get the Sand Dune or Tommy Tuttle! The new parking and drive thru is going to be a great add.

We have been to House of Flavors In Ludington many times and this is an extension of them. Cute decor and they have a few picnic tables to sit on outside. It's located right by a pond that has a deck you can go on. SERVICE: The two female workers that were there was fine, they were not rude but also not super friendly. FOOD: This is what we ordered.... Large MI Pothole Malt -- Taste: very good. Size: larger than others. Price: $7.99 (and they don't charge extra for the malt powder like other places!) Single scoop MI Pothole in a cup -- Taste: good, I have had other MI pothole flavor at other places that I do like better but this version is tasty. Size: average. Price: $5.50 OVERALL THOUGHTS: Paid little over $31 for our family of four. Service was fine nothing to write home about. It's not a big place so it may be a wait if they are busy. Atmosphere is cute and the outside area is very nice (beware of the geese poop and flying bugs!). WOULD I RETURN? Yes if we are in the area.

They have a lot of unique sundae options, which made it surprisingly difficult to choose. I ended up getting the Peanut Butter Shipwreck with vanilla ice cream, and it was delicious. The ice cream-to-topping ratio was perfect, and the combination of hot fudge and cold ice cream brought everything together really well. It was also very reasonably priced for the portion size. My only critique is that I expected it to be made with hard ice cream rather than soft serve. That said, the soft serve was still very good. It does melt pretty quickly, though, so don't wait too long before digging in. There's plenty of outdoor seating, and they even have a mini golf course in the back. The whole place has a fun, laid-back atmosphere and is a great spot to hang out with family and friends. Their soft serve cones also looked incredibly good and picture-worthy, so I'll definitely be trying one of those the next time I visit.

Or...perhaps even for the days when you are? Maybe it's ice cream in town and candy back at the vacation rental. Sweet Haven ticks all the boxes: various small candy in bulk; taffy in bulk; old-fashioned packaged candy; higher-end chocolates; Jelly Bellys; and of course FUDGE. It's a dangerous and delightful place. I'm not sure about the prices. This stuff *seems* expensive, but since you don't buy an armload of candy very often (do you??), it's hard to tell. So just go ahead and treat yourself (and your kids I guess, but mostly you, because sugar is bad for kids) and see whether you can make it last beyond the journey home at the end of the trip.

You definitely need to go to both. At the hands on park there were baby goats roaming, little pigs roaming, you can get up close and personal with llamas, and so much more. My kids especially loved holding the little bunnies! You can't pick them up yourself but an employee will place them on your lap for you. I highly recommend buying the stuff to feed the animals. You can get pellets, carrots, apples, and little sticks with birdseed on them for the bird enclosure. Watch for signs because some animals can't have the pellets and some can't have anything at all. There are also a bunch of play structures for the kids to play! Twice a day they have bottle feedings and you can call ahead to book or book when you get there! You can't have outside food and the website says they sell food but it's just snacks, ice cream, and other similar treats. We did not know and hadn't eaten so we were so hungry! My son wanted to eat the carrots for the animals The drivethru was also great. You have to have the windows rolled up and the door locked while you drive through the Bear portion. There was a Bear that did a somersault right in front of the car! It was so cute! You can buy a bucket of pellets to feed most of the animals in the drive-thru too! Be careful though! There was a camel that ripped the bucket right from my hand! He was too strong for me If you have leftover pellets from the walk-through portion, ask the person at the gate of the drivethru for an empty bucket and you can dump them inside to feed the drivethru animals!

There are loads of fun things to do, however it can get pretty expensive pretty quickly.read more
