Since this is on the main Carlsbad road, I highly recommend calling your pizza in ahead of time because they get busy, especially in the summertime. I passed a long line and went right to the front to snag my pizza since I had called it in! So I've been hittin all the New York pizza spots in my area lately comparing them all and well.... for the most part they are all good and fulfill that thin slice pizza craving. I absolutely love the 2 slices and a drink deal you can get at all similar pizza joints. Been to 2 of their locations and both are always solid and consistent. The Oside cats are cool and the pizza is always good. I'm always killin the Porko and a pep or the Knockout slices. You can also ring up 2 slices and a beer if you want to really let loose. I like this pizza joint... as a little pizza joint to stop by to grab food after a day at the beach (don't expect anything more). Also, I'd recommend this place for just pizza. We tried the buffalo cesar salad and could barely eat it, the lettuce was barely cut, it was just thrown together and didn't have much flavor. Parking- since we walked here, I'm not sure about the parking situation, they have have a few spots in the back but other than that there's street parking but may get tough to find since it's so close to the beach. read more

Knockout Pizza is a NY-style pizzeria that is located in Carlsbad village. We visited Carlbsdad village on a Sunday afternoon and went in to get some pizza for a late lunch. We ordered one of the vegetarian red pies and soda. The Pizza was thin, crispy, and not too oily - just like I liked it. We all devoured the pie within minutes and finished it with vanilla soda. Overall this is a good place for a delicious Sunday lunch and is affordable too. I will visit again soon. read more

My only problem with Knockout Pizza is that three out of the last six pies we have ordered for home delivery have been overdone (meaning the majority of the bottom is black) and tasted burned. Then one of the three "good" ones was underdone. So two out of six were hits; not a great batting average unless you're playing baseball. It's always nice to find a pizza spot nestled in the city by the ocean. The pizza did not disappoint and the employees were accommodating to my request to "give my slice a little char". While the pizza was delicious, the show-stealer was the California Cheesecake in a Cup. We tried the Key Lime and Strawberry flavors and they did gymnastics all over the tastebuds.
