Great burger join if you want to stop by and have a quick bite. Restaurant does not have a lot of room to sit or hang out so don't expect an InNOut type of place but definitely a good tasting burger and great fries. If its crowded or lunch time then there will be wait since kitchen and grill is small. Beach crowd are constantly coming in and picking up phone orders making the Place a little crowded. Love the KO sauce. read more

Killer grub at a gnarly price. So good it plays with my emotions. Knockout burger delivers the one two punch!

Awesome food and great service! A must visit place while in Carlsbad. Walking distance from our hotel.

Love the fact that they offer the most delicious chicken sandwich in the WORLD for us non red meat eaters. I actually CRAVE this thing. It is a perfectly seasoned chicken breast on a whole wheat bun with tomatoes, red onions, and lots of melting cheese. Order a side of fries to go along and your good. They are usually pretty busy, so I suggest calling in your order ahead if it's to go. read more

Brought my 6-year-old daughter here because she wanted a burger. Ordered her a middle weight plain and she scarfed it down. The fries were nothing special. Of course, I'm not a fan of thin and crispy fries. My burger, on the other hand, was OVERLY salty. Ordered their cajun bacon middle weight. You expect salty food going into a burger joint, but the salt on this burger was so overwhelming it made my mouth pucker. Good prices and great service, but we will probably be going elsewhere next time we crave a burger. read more

Saturday night in the middle of summer and they have one cook. Be prepared to wait over a half hour to get your burger. Not worth the wait.

If you like extra extra slow service, come here for burgers ! If you're really hungry and can't wait, this would be a bad place.

Bomb burgers where the locals eat. The sauce is amazing along with the fresh never frozen meat. The avocado is super fresh with amazing texture and the bacon and cheese are excellent. Fries are always made to order and seasoned well. Have zero complaints accept this place is kinda a whole and the wall and if your somewhat picky they'll remember. Who cares tho your paying them, and the picky eaters beat the local skateboarders who linger and order 1 fry to split with 4 people. The food is EXCELLENT and you get an amazing charbroiled flavor. 5 stars deserves more!!! read more

Took 30min to receive a plain hamburger and fries when it was not crowded at all. From what was seen, the process of preparing the food was very unsanitary. Bare-hands were used to pick up food. For the amount of time the food took, it was very average. Similar to a low-end fast food restaurant. Would not recommend. read more

All I heard all week from our Phoenix friends was how good this place was. They should know, they eat there almost every other day. "Better than In & Out" they said. They were wrong. I had a middleweight (1/4 pound) jalapeño burger. It was nice and hot, but very greasy. Now I realize that In & Out is a little greasy, so that may be where the KB vs. I&O comparison originates. But I gotta say, I&O sends Knockout to the mat for the full count. Eat here if you don't want to lose your parking spot and don't want to walk very far. BTW, I think my AZ friends just had a need to bash a California tradition and Knockout vs. I&O was the best that they could come up while enjoying the beauty of Carlsbad! read more

We live 55 miles away from Knockout Burgers, but anytime we are anywhere near we always stop (at least 3 times a year). There are other spots in Carlsbad that look good and that we would like to try, but we never do because we know we are going to have the best burgers every time we go to Knockout Burgers! read more

Used to loe this place. Went in twice this past summer. once they were out of sliders (ay a burger place?!) and the second time my sliders were pink....gross. Wtf happened??? read more

Great burgers and great prices. I was impressed with the size, taste and quality of the burger (angus). The fries cooked perfectly. Very crisp. It is hard to find a place in Carlsbad that is good and affordable. This is that place if you are looking for burgers. read more

Honestly, this is a great, made to order burger. The fries were very fresh and crispy - which is hard to find. With so many sub-par eateries in Carlsbad Village, this is a breath of fresh air! I will be back again and again! read more

We stopped by to get 2 burgers to take out & watch the sunset at the beach. During the FORTY minutes it took to get our food (with only a party of 4 ahead of us,) I noticed trash spilling out of all the trash cans & the floor was sticky. The cashier & cook appeared to be a couple and were yelling at each other and had their toddler kids in the grill area. I hate to give this dirty dive one star, but i'm not sure you can submit a Yelp with zero stars....for the love of food, DON'T EAT HERE or ever even walk in..GROSS! We're locals & we'll never eat at the Grossout Burger again... read more

Seriously love this place!! I have been coming here for years and never get tired of their burgers and seasoned fries! The staff seems to have changed a lot since I started coming here, but I have never met an unpleasant employee! It does get busy on some weekends and especially during the summer, but what else can you expect when the food is delicious and it is conveniently located one block up from the beach? I have never had to wait longer than necessary for my food and the employees are always very friendly to my boyfriend and me! read more

Seriously the best value for the dollar. A no frills burger joint with wonderful food. Well done

I have been coming to knockout burger for years now. Not once have they failed me. The burgers are amazingly delicious. Ever since coming here i have not turned to In N Out since. I cant complain. The staff are also very friendly. I forgot to mention they have reasonable prices and better quality food than In N Out, Jack N the Box Etc... read more

Super fresh burgers and fries. Tastes like backyard bbq. Service is efficient but not with a smile or thanks you. Almost always packed. Loved it read more

Mmmm that IS a TASTY Burger! Except they give us the wrong change all the time. And it's been a different person that did it every time. And they are not very nice when we go to get our change. One employee just asked "whatcha trippin bout?" And slammed the change down. And last time they stole $3 from me! And they KNOW that I have to come back. Because I need those amazing burgers. Bastards... read more

I found this little gem of a burger joint last year and I have been loving it ever since. The food is really awesome and reminds me of my mom's home made burgers. I always get a Middle Weight and Fries. And end up ordering some extra food to warm up the next day! Everyone has always been so polite, helpful and nice! Love it! read more

Best burger in the world. All about that bbq bacon!! I go here every time im in the area

I've been coming here for years and love the food although I was utterly disappointed when one of the counter people had her shirt tied in a knot on the side and it was revealing her belly which was not right for a family restaurant or for health purposes. It was very inappropriate. The window seals are dusty and i feel the place can use a spring cleaning soon. Overall great food, not so great atmosphere. read more

If you want a great burger this is the spot. My favorite burger joint in north county. All sorts of extras and sauces at a great price. Can't say enough good things. Go get some meat. read more

Good solid burger. Fries are pretty good too. Reminds me of in and out. I would say equal quality. the quarter pounder was good size and the servings are generous. It is a little pricy for what it is though. 2 burgers and 2 fries for $14. That is steep. read more

The burgers here are 5 star all the way. The seasoned fries are delicious and I give them a 5 star also. It's the kind of burger/fry combo that leaves you craving it and nothing else will satisify the craving. However, the service is not 5 star. More like 2 star. The staff are not the friendliest or most helpful. It's also a tiny place that can be difficult to manuever in when it's packed, so don't go there at lunch time. You have to classify this place for what it is: a burger joint on the coast with a hipster vibe that serves up delicious burgers and fries. Don't expect more and you will walk away happy and looking forward to your next burger. read more

This place has awesome burgers! And the guy at the counter was very nice too. Me and my husband are from Texas and we haven't been able to find real burgers until we found this place!! It's no 3B's but for around here they're tasty! read more

Good burger, good fries, right by the beach "boiiii," what else can you want. I always call him before picking it up because I'm impatient but usually doesn't take too long. I would say it's pretty comparable to in-n-out. read more

I dig the joint but I liked the burger even more... Wasn't too bad, the house wasn't the cleanest and the cashier was a little impatient, however he did keep busy with helping the cook put together the orders. Would've been nice if their side menu was more obvious. Bottom line... Don't expect a super clean snobby atmosphere but do expect thick, juicy, good tasting burgers! read more

My husband and I both ordered the middleweight burger combo, he ordered his with onion rings instead of fries. Both burgers were burnt on the outside and pink on the inside (mine was still a little cold on the inside). The bun tasted like a cheap grocery store bun, not even toasted. They delivered our orders both with fries - overcooked as well. He reminded them that he ordered onion rings, so the waitress took his plate back and dumped his fries back into the fryer (he watched her do this) then about 8 minutes later brought him out burnt onion rings. Needless to say he didn't eat them. The restaurant itself is in a great location but is a little run down and dirty. We will not be returning. read more

This is where one might go if they're in the mood for In-N-Out style food but in the Carlsbad Village. In-N-Out has better burgers and prices, but that's not to say that you shouldn't try this place too. What stands out best in my memory are the seasoned fries, which are really good. The burgers are good too, but really it's really for the proximity to the ocean that I would go here. I have to say that I'm not impressed by the way they tried to piggy-back off the Knockout Pizza name without consent. read more

This place has excellent sliders and delish fries! We just went down to Carlsbad for spring break and stayed at the Carlsbad Inn to celebrate my son's 8th birthday. He requested burgers for dinner and we found this place right around the corner. Food was fantastic, and the service was friendly and fast. Best of all, the prices were fantastic for such an expensive area. We all left full and happy. Thanks! read more

Food was delicious... A great deal for what you get. It seems like a local favorite and has that beach vibe to it. Would definitely recommend for a quick lunch while your at the beach! read more

If you're looking for a fast food-esque burger without the guilt, Knockout is definitely a solid choice. The burgers are cooked very well, topped with every standard issue burger item, with an extra selection of toppings listed on a sideboard. The "seasoned" fries, however, were a bit of a let down, as they lacked heavily in seasoning. The restaurant itself, is rather grimy though, with crusty ketchup bottles, a dirty floor, and unwiped tables. Cleanliness is the only deterring factor here, but the burgers are worth coming for. read more

Pretty good burgers, keep coming back for more. I usually get the cheeseburger combo with fries and a drink and have not been disappointed yet. I used to work at one of the shops near by and come here for lunch but do not work there anymore so it's kind of out of my way. Other than that, this place is great and decently priced! read more

The shift manager (or possibly owner) here was disrespectful after we notified him that a hair found in a slider. We mentioned it and he asked us where the hair was...Like we would lie about finding a hair lol. They were apologetic but said that accidents happen. Yea hairs just end up in food from time to time. Wow! I would never come back. Rude people. The food tastes decent but experience was terrible. I guess they expected us to pick the hair up off the ground to prove it. Um, no! They call their sauce knockout but looks like the hair was the true knockout punch. read more

I had the worst experience at this location. Our food was given to patrons that ordered after us. Friends of the worker. I ordered and stupidly didn't ask for a receipt. I also left my teenagers to pick up the food. I went to knock out pizza ordered garlic knots picked them up and got back. There was only one table occupied at knock out burgers when I got back. (There were two girls sitting there waiting) Our food wasn't ready. I asked what was going on and was told it was going to be a few minutes. The girls got their food. Ha! They didn't realize the order before us (teens too) were with us. I said they were ahead of us and asked about their food too? Then they got flustered and gave them their food and I had to wait for ours. It took over an hour all total and we were the only people left in the place. At first the cook and server tried to say it wasn't their fault but then gave me a weak apology. read more

We LOVE the food and service! As always, Salayna was SO polite and helful, and a great cook!

Super disappointed tonight. We usually love this place but had 2 burnt cardboard burgers tonight that took an hour to get. Knockout, get your stuff together. read more

Knockout Burger - Burgers Near Me - Carlsbad, California

Whenever I get to hang out with my nephew, we come here. He loves the burgers and frankly, so do I. The fries are absolutely delicious too. Only thing is it takes a little bit to get your food, but if you're not in a rush, it's a good meal. read more
