I don't get all the negative reviews for this place. I thought it was lovely and service was outstanding. I ordered the chicken salad which I thought was a little weak on the portion for the money, which is why I'm giving a 4 star and not a 5 but the flavor was good and as I looked around at the meals my friends ordered, realized I should have ordered a different sandwich. Mine was kind of small and boring compared to their sandwiches. Also tried the soup which was outstanding and sampled many breads - All Super Tasty! The place is adorable and the deserts look absolutely delicious. Currently watching the calories a bit or I would have ordered some but my daughter had a cookie in her kids meal that was quite tasty she said. I will come back but next time will order something on a speciality bread! read more

I went here today thinking I would give this place a second chance. I won't be back. The first time I was there I ordered a Turkey Bacon Avocado salad. It arrived without the avocado. I pointed it out to the server and she brought back a sliced up black avocado. Seriously gross! How could you serve that? Today I went in and ordered a Ham and Swiss sandwich and got it to go. I got home and discovered the "sandwich" only had two paper thin slices of ham on it. Kneaders you should be ashamed of yourself. We went to the Mesa AZ. (Signal Butte and Southern) location November 17 2022, the cashier was very rude and when we got our order the BLT had no tomato on it! How do you make a BLT without the tomato? When my daughter told the boy who was waiting on tables, he said they were out of tomatoes, she said well shouldn't you mention that when someone is ordering, and he said very nasty "she (the cashier) didn't know" and my daughter said why are you being so rude and he shouted RUDE at her so everyone in the restaurant could hear. She got up and said I want my money back which she got. Then we checked our soup we found they had put the soup on the wrong plates, but were rudely informed that they weren't wrong just reversed. I had gotten a pastrami sandwich and it had one thin slice of meat on it, I couldn't even taste the meat, I couldn't eat it, all I could taste was onion. Kneaders was one of my favorite places to eat but I won't go back again, there are lots of other places with good food that actually want our business!! read more

Casual and quick lunch spot - I love how friendly the staff is here, and the big selection of breads to try. The staff really goes the extra mile to make sure you have a great experience. I know everyone thinks of sandwiches here, but most of the time I actually order a salad - my fave is the turkey bacon avocado salad. I tried Kneaders for the first time today. I ordered a chicken and had on ciabatta to go. It was delicious! The bread was really fresh and everything seemed to be really high quality. While I skipped the dessert this time, I will definitely stop in again to try some of their sweets. They looked awesome! I didn't realize that their sandwiches didn't come with a side, which is why I took off a star, but the sandwich I got was pretty substantial so I was fine without the extra calories. I'm bummed out by this location. I am a HUGE fan of Kneaders but this location is not the best. It's hit and miss with customer service, there are a few nice employees and few that are very rude. It's also hit and miss on whether my order will be correct. Today I picked up some baskets and other gifts plus some soup and a sandwich. The chicken soup was legit awful! It's my go to and I buy it when my family is sick. But today it tasted so bad...no one would eat it. Almost like it sat for a few days and was mixed with clam chowder. So gross and so strange. Bummer to waste the money, wish I had driven to a better location for the price. read more

I was skeptical of coming here due to the reviews but after a coworker recommended them I gave them a try. I have been through the drive through twice now and the first time the girl taking my order was rude and I felt rushed even though I was the only person in line, but my food was excellent. Just left following my second visit my experience was better than my first. Food and service were both excellent read more

This is my first negative review: Wife ordered Reuben Sandwiches for both of us. Terrible, barely any meat, bread was unremarkable, and there were sliced onions on it (who puts onions an a Reuben?). There was very little bovarian sauerkraut on this sandwich with scant to nill dressing on it. Tasted quite dry. Arby's and Ameristar have way better Reuben Sandwiches. Felt like I could have thrown together a couple slices of store bought bread and slice of thin meat and called it good. They may have other "good or excellent" items but I'll never know. Poor first impression as they say the restaurant is only as good as it's worst item. Not impressed and will NEVER go back. read more

My hubby and I stopped in here after getting our new licenses down the street at the DMV. There is a beautiful case of various cookies, pastries and other baked goods. We were there for breakfast or brunch on a weekday. I got the sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich on a croissant. It was huge and very good. I also got a coffee which was ok. My husband opted for the all you can eat sourdough pancakes. You get three good sized pancakes with strawberries, whipped cream, and syrup. When you finish, you can go up and ask for more. They had good flavor and my husband enjoyed them. I like the concept here where you order at the counter and they bring it out. This saves you on tip but still has a sit down feel. The only thing that really dampened the visit for us was a man who was there and talking VERY loudly about his political views to his dining companion. I don't know if they were hard of hearing or he was just rude and ignorant. Either way, with the small size of the place there was no way to escape. Ugh. I can see where this would be a very cozy place in the winter with the fireplace and nice out on the patio during the nice months. It also looks like they have a drive thru and other various goods for sale including aprons and some seasonal Knick knacks. We might try it again if we are in the area. read more

Was disappointed in Kneaders. First time in and no one explained anything. My husband ordered the Reuben panini & we should have looked at the prior reviews because they had it spot on. Smallest amount of meat I think I've ever seen on a sandwich! & onions on the Reuben gave it a funny taste. I had the chicken salad on a croissant & it was tasty, but such a small portion. I liked the red pepper Gouda soup, but my husband didn't. The sugar cookie had almost no flavor. Was not impressed at all. read more

Ordered a gift basket which are beautifully arranged at the Arvada location which is why I ordered here. I thought I'd get the same service. My hubby went to pick it up and they couldn't find my order. I told them what it was over the phone and they said ok they'd go look. My husband waited 20+ minutes. Our function was starting so I cut him loose from picking up the basket. I called Kneaders and not once did the person on the phone or the manager Bethany apologize for the basket not being available on time. I feel like they put things together last minute. I've only tried the twice baked almond croissants & cannoli's (Italian dessert pastry) and they are very good. They also have specialty teas (which I now order at home) they are also very good, but you'll have to ask for honey, as they don't keep it out. My friend gets giant bags of fresh bread ends (mixed types) for 3.99 She likes them alot, but I haven't tried them. Coffee is okay, the regular stuff. read more

My kids wanted a good cinnamon role and remembered Kneaders. We had a nice experience last few times we visited. The food has always been good and prices are fair. Today it was cinnamon roles. They were so soft and tasty! The gal even threw in an extra piece of chocolate brittle which was extremely kind. All it takes is one act of kindness to keep spreading the kind gestures in this world. The food here is excellent. But the service is awful. The first time here, we got our food in a timely manner, but when we asked for a second serving of the all you can eat French toast, it never came. So we just left. Thinking that first time was just a fluke, I brought a couple out of town guests here for breakfast a few days later. I was so embarrassed because the service was way worse than the first time. We noticed that patrons that arrived after us were receiving their orders first. After a half hour, one plate of food came out with the wrong items. That was corrected, and the second plate arrived also. The third order arrived after approx. 40 minutes, but not the right items. None of the smoothies were the correct flavor, and when asked for the correct flavors, the manager made a show of making them herself, but then STILL brought out the wrong flavor again! We were already there for so long, that we didn't mention the snafu. So basically, only dine in if you are not in a hurry. The food is great, but not worth the bad customer service! read more

Wanted to try a few items here. This place seems to be a cross between Atlanta bread company and Panera Bread. Ordered a French dip and artichoke chicken panini at the drive thru with a chicken noodle soup. French dip had a lot to be desired and very small amount of roast beef. Chicken noodle soup had a gelatinous type consistency that was quite off putting. What's sad is the panini tasted pretty good until I realized that a short black hair had been pressed into the bread when it was on the panini press, as it was stuck on the bread even when I tried to pull/scrape it off. NASTY. For 20$ I'll take my business elsewhere for lunch. Quality is meh. read more

We came in for a late dinner so there wasn't a line. The lady at the counter was nice and helpful and even gave us samples of the soups they served. I ordered the Reuben with French Onion Soup. My wife ordered the Turkey Artichoke Sandwich with the Portabello Artichoke soup. My son got the Ham and Cheese Sandwich. For Dessert we got the German Chocolate Brownie. They were a little slow getting our food out to us. There was no one ahead of us and everyone in the place already got their food. We didn't see a reason for us to have wait long for our food. After 25 minutes, they brought us our food. Once we started to eat our food, we were a little surprised on how good they were. My reuben was cooked well, with the bread having a good crunch to it. My soup was also good: It had some sort of bread in the middle which helped balanced out the flavors. My family's food was also delicious and they both seemed to enjoy their meal. My wife's Portabello Artichoke soup was probably the best dish out of all everything we ordered. Best I have had in a while. I wasn't very fond of the the German Chocolate Brownie though. It was too sweet for me. All in all I would come back again to try more on their menu. Maybe the service will be better then. read more

Not happy at all... $48.00 for 2 sandwiches 2 bowls of soup a drink and 2 cinnamon rolls... The soup is OK but the sandwiches were crap and I think the meat was going bad... We got sicker then hell... The service was pretty bad too.. had to get someone to wait on us and was asking questions as this was our first time and got the feeling that we were just a bothering them... Tried to call the night we went to see if they could fix our order as we took it home to eat and no answer.. tried the next day and got a answer as was told they would have a manager call me back and we'll that was a week ago... This was such a pleasant surprise! I expected something like Panera bread - it was like that but on steroids and so much better. SO many options for food and it was so festive in the Christmas spirit! I'll have to go back 100 more times to get everything I even want from the menu. Only complaint is there is no WiFi.
