We were finally going to check out this Kneaders because the dining room was open and we have enjoyed other Kneaders. There were signs all over the place saying "Dining room open, come on in." The door was locked without any information as to their hours or why the door was locked. The mixed messages drove us to check Yelp for more information regarding their operating hours and the discovered the less than average reviews. We decided to go somewhere else. As we were leaving, an employee came out to take out the trash who said that they close around 3:00 or 4:00 to sanitize. There was no indication that they were interested in serving customers other than the drive thru. We left the parking lot feeling very unclear about whether or not Kneaders wanted any dining in business. Because of the mixed messages we don't plan on coming back. read more

I'm not sure why this place only has three stars. I have always had a good time here. The sandwiches are great, the food is fresh, the lemonad is awesome. I have been going here for a while and they haven't messed upmy order but maybe forgot napkins once or twice but that's going to happen with fast-ish food. First of all, I do not hand out very many negative reviews (check my profile) but I had to with this one. If the night manager on duty last night (6/27/2020) handles all situations the way he did with me tonight then they would not be in business. He handled a situation where they made a mistake (which but they way they seem to do A LOT at this location...holy cow) very poorly. He was very short and rude as if it was my fault and then when I asked him why he was so mad he blamed me. He also accused me of pointing my finger at him when I actually held my finger up in the "hang on a minute" gesture when I finally (yes, finally...I was very patient with the way he was talking to me) called him out for being rude. Very poor problem solving skills. Surprised he was the manager to be honest. Won't be for long if he continues to act the way he did tonight. And BTW, This is not the first time that they have gotten an order wrong...just never reviewed it before because they always were so nice about it...until this time. read more

My Chicken Pesto sandwich was left in it's to box for several minutes . I watching it sit there hoping it was not mine. When I got it , the toasted bread was mush. The cake was the opposite . It looked pretty , but was very dry. It wasn't first and last time ever eating there. read more

I was so disappointed with our experience tonight. We ordered 2 bread bowls and a French dip online. My husband got a call on his way to pick up our order that they were out of the soup we selected, so he picked another, not a big deal. But then my husband waited outside the restaurant for 25 minutes and they were not busy. Upon bringing the food to my husband's car, he was told they were out of bread bowls, which would have been nice to know when they called about the soup so we could have ordered something else. Instead, they threw in an entire loaf of old bread. My husband finally makes it home with our food, it's cold, poorly packaged and tastes awful. We threw everything away and got food elsewhere. I ordered what I have ordered in the past but what I received is this sorry looking "fresh strawberry pie." The top picture is from their website advertisement that looks like plentiful of fresh plump strawberries. What they gave me is a pie pan with hardly any strawberries and the strawberries that are there are so small. There's more whip cream than strawberries. Every year for the past few years I have come here to pic up rolls for Thanksgiving. You would not have any idea that they are not home made. They are so fluffy yet have substance to them. Pick-up is easy and hassle free. Every raves about the rolls, I will continue to get them at kneaders year after year. read more

New location on 75th Ave, just north of the 101. Had a good experience here. Easy parking. People were very friendly. Dining area was clean. Counter service. They bring food out to the table. Self-serve soft drinks. Kneaders is similar to other chain bakery/sandwich joints, but they seem to do it much better and with more varied bakery selection. I saw pie(!!!), cake, eclairs, Napoleon, cookies, and more!! They had me at the bakery. My husband really enjoyed his sausage, egg, and cheese croissant, and carrot cake. My chicken pesto panini came with parmesan potato chips and a pickle. Decent sandwich. Also got the banana cream pie. Loved the banana slices and pudding part, but thought the "cream" top was a bit heavy. Wasn't normal whipped cream, but more like a shortening or butter base. My husband liked it though. Got a rye loaf to bring home and made some great sandwiches for dinner. 3.75 Stars for the great service/atmosphere and tempting bakery case. Looking forward to trying more menu items. read more

We have tried kneaders 4 times now for breakfast and the all you can eat French toast. Which is AMAZING!!! But every time we go here my husband always orders another serving of French toast when he finishes his first plate. Every single time they never bring it out. The first time we gave them the benefit of the doubt that it got lost in the other orders. The second and third time I was like this can't be a coincidence. We always have to go and say something to them about waiting for it. Today our 4th visit we waited and waited and after 15 minutes or so still no french toast. We finally gave up and left. I've only tried 2 things from Kneaders, the Chocolate Chunk Cookie and the Snickerdoodle Bread, and neither of those things are any good. The Chocolate Chip Cookie is dry and cakey. I tried this cookie twice a week apart thinking maybe the first one was a fluke, but it just turns out they don't make good chocolate chip cookies. The Snickerdoodle bread smells great and the plastic wrap it comes in it's sticky to the touch so you'd figure it would be sweatband moist. It's anything but. Once you cut into it, you find it's dry and not flavor full, and feels like you're eating a bad gluten free slice of bread. Only the very top of the load is moist and has any flavor. I only bought this bread after giving it as a gift to a family member a week earlier who says it was good. After being disappointed I called my family member and they said that it wasn't good except for the very top and they were just being nice. So 2 items tested twice each a week apart and both no good. A rule of thumb, if the cookies aren't good, then nothing else is. 2 stars because the store is nice inside and the staff was friendly. However I will never get anything from Kneaders again. read more

This is the BEST healthy cafe in Glendale area. You leave feeling full, but not stuffed. Nutritious options are available and their desserts are tasty too! I had a good experience because at the end of the night the manager was so gracious to gift me and my friend 2 free loafs of bread each! We are back for soup and they were out of every soup....even the Irish stew which is a regular menu item. Very disappointing. A long wait to order and a longer wait for the food to be delivered. There were problems with the order but those were corrected graciously but we went to the back of the food prep line. On a more positive note, the sandwiches were delicious and the chocolate cream pie was amazing! The iced tea dispensers were empty when we arrived and no attempt was made to refill them. Well my goodness, this little restaurant knocked my socks off! The darling boutique-like shopping area was full of lovely trinkets and treasures. As we approached the counter, we were greeted by a darling young lady wearing a scrunchie and glasses. The headset she was wearing made her look like a rock star on stage. This was appropriate because she truly was a rock star! I've never had my meal delivered in such a friendly fashion. This young lady was sunshine in skin!
