    Two slices of meat ...
    Sarah H.

$26.00 for two medium subs; the pastrami has two slices of meat, the steak sandwich at least had onions Disappointing... No chips or drink either

I was in the neighborhood so stopped by to grab lunch. I ordered the roast beef and cheddar, whole sub which came out to be close to $17. The meat was good but the bread didn't taste fresh like they normally do. The Mayo wasn't enough on there so made sandwich tasted dry. Kinda disappointed as last time stopped by Turkey and provolone was great. Anyway, 3 stars for the roast beef.

My fav place to stop by! My favorite employee is faith she is always so sweet to me and I only come here when she is working and we've kinda become friends! to faith: My glorious pookie bear where do I start, your eyes are like stars burning through my retinas your smile makes my day 100% better I don't know what I would do if you weren't in my life watching you work all day is the best part of my week I could sit hear for years if your here. Any other sub place doesn't have the same love in the sub.

Not having a Firehouse close to us, we enjoy visiting locations when we can find them on our travels. We stopped by this location to grab two sandwiches for dinner. We should have known something was up when we came in at dinner time to find the inside of the shop completely empty of customers. The young lady at the counter was polite, but not very helpful. Not sure where the communication breakdown was, but the sandwiches we received were not what we ordered. Unfortunately, we didn't notice until we got back to our hotel. One sandwich was supposed to be a cold sandwich with very light mayo. What we opened was a hot and gooey mess. Not only was it hot instead of cold, there was so much mayo on it that the bread was too soggy to hold the sandwich, it just fell apart when we picked it up. The other sandwich had condiments on it that we stated we did not want for allergy reasons. Since they have a high counter, customers can't see how the sandwiches are being made, unlike Subway, Togos, and Jersey Mike's, so corrections can't be caught while the sandwich is being made. While we normally like Firehouse, this location is a never-again for us!

My work did a lunch order today. Everyone's half sized or larger subs were fine. The smallest sub , mine, an engineer was beyond disappointing. NO MEAT, NO CHEESE, NO MUSHROOMS (extra mushrooms had been on the order request!!). I thought ordering extra mushrooms would bypass the trend of invisible mushrooms (yes, many times, many differnt locations, always the engineer and i never get my mushrooms). Didn't think it would make the disappearing act grow! So when I call and want it both my engineer made right and a refund on just that one sub (because now I'm having to spend the equivalent cost in gas vs my small engineer sandwich to drive back in my personal vehicle), I get told nah it's either a refund of the sub or a free one on my next visit. There will never be another visit

We had a all day meeting last weekend and decided to order in subs for lunch. Luckily Firehouse works with Doordash so we were able to get out food delivered since we couldn't really leave. Each person was able to order and customize their sub and sides how they wanted. There were a good amount of options, but the price was up there. I ordered a medium Turkey Bacon Ranch sub and a bag of chips and my meal ran about $14. Compared to other places this was pricey. (Someone in our group loves firehouse which is why we went with them.) One nice thing was the subs do come in their own container, instead of just in a wrapper, so maybe that is part of the increased cost. As for taste, the sub was good, but it had too much of the ranch on it and it was pretty soggy by the time it was delivered. Maybe if it was eaten at the restaurant then it would have been better. As it was, I was not able to eat a good portion of the bread due to being so soggy. I may give firehouse another try in the future, we shall see.

Overall, there were definitely more hits than misses. The deli offers an impressive variety of hot foods. The sandwiches coming out of the kitchen looked fantastic, and there are plenty of pasta dishes and traditional Italian entrées available as well. We didn't order a hot meal on this visit, but we'll definitely be back to try one. The market section is also worth browsing. They carry a wide selection of pastas, sauces, olive oils, canned tomatoes, and other Italian staples. My only suggestion would be to expand the specialty pasta selection with options like squid ink, spinach, or roasted red pepper varieties. Of course, we couldn't leave without visiting the bakery case. We brought home an assortment of Italian cookies, a black and white cookie, a Napoleon, chocolate cannolis, and a brownie. The brownie was the one item that didn't impress us, but everything else was delicious and tasted fresh. One thing to be aware of is parking. The lot is quite small, and both we and several other customers ended up parking across the street. It's not necessarily something the business can control, but it's worth mentioning if you're visiting during a busy time. The fact that this shop has been around for decades says a lot about the quality and loyal customer base they've built over the years. Overall, we had a very good experience and are looking forward to returning to explore more of the deli offerings.

Cooked just right. Crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. Excellent, fresh flavor! As it is prepared to order, expect about a 15 minute wait time for the chicken... but WELL worth that wait, as it turned out. Fries and Onion Rings sides were PERFECT, and tastier than most. Interesting, varied menu, too! Very generous portions... and the chicken pieces were real, actual sized pieces of chicken... not like the canary-sized tidbits served up by today's fried chicken chain outlets! Although the seating area was VERY small (store front operation,) the facilities were bright, clean and well maintained. The staff was welcoming, patient and most helpful as we worked our way through their surprisingly large, and varied menu! Reasonably priced, too! Overall... a happy find... and now one of our go-to favorites! Just wish they had a LOT more locations closer (to us!) Surprise/Sun City areas would benefit from having closer access to Outta Bronx sandwich/hot dog/wings/Krispy Krunchy chicken locations! New Yorker- This sandwich had corned beef and pastrami, cole slaw, Swiss, and Russian dressing on some rye bread. Pretty big sandwich. Pastrami and corned beef were tasty, albeit a tad fattier then I prefer. The cole slaw was pretty mayo heavy and goopy, I honestly scraped most of it off. Rye bread was soft, but nothing "great". I'm spoiled by Langer's and I need to tell myself that I will never find anything as good as that sandwich. Oh well......I tried. Sandwich was a 7/10 IMO. The sandwich came with some cottage fries which were ok, a side of pickles that weren't really pickled (tasted like a straight up cucumber) and some cole slaw which I did not try.
