I dunno folks. I'm born / raised in Louisiana, so not just the cayenne dominate flavor, but being loyal to a Louisiana founded chain is becoming harder and harder to do. The taste is still good (hence the additional star), but from being forced to use the mobile app to get a special meal deal (yes, while standing right in front of a counter employee) to awkwardness in being sure to order just the right condiments and in the right quantity before pressing 'submit' to a not so clean dining area, I am not sure if it is worth it. I think all Popeyes, not just this one, are struggling right now with their new way of doing things. Especially with all the hot chicken places popping up . . . yes, it's buffalo versus cayenne, but . . . I think I'll make the switch and give up on Popeyes. read more

I ordered a box of chicken tenders and frys and what I got tasted so old and disgusting, it was as if the food had been sitting out all day and instead of making new chicken, they decided to just throw whatever they had laying around into a bag. Expensive and poor food quality makes for an undesirable experience. During Lent many chains bring out a version of a fish sandwich. We were excited to give theirs a try. I feel bad for the poor fish! They did nothing to deserve such a horrible fate! We ordered it spicy and instead we got bland! I'm sure at some point it had flavor but Popeyes seemed to remove it! Gave the drive thru cashier A $20 bill and 1 penny on a bill that was $11.01. I was then given $8 in change. When I asked about the dollar I was shorted she said that when she rang it up she didn't account for the penny I gave her when she rang it up and couldn't give me a dollar back and she had no change. She said she could give 99 pennies. I protested and she then opened the register and gave me back my penny and said again she had no change except pennies. I tried to give her back the penny and said just give me a dollar bill and her register would be good at the end of the shift. Placed. Mobile order for my husband to pick up. Order was ready when he got there but they filled it right away. Got home and they forgot one of the biscuits on an order that only had two so not sure about their ability to count. Mac & cheese was less than half a cup and covered with a thick cheese layer. Hardly any MAC involved. Ordered 2 bbq and one buffalo sauce and instead they threw in 4 ranch sauces. All food was cold and we literally live 5 minutes away. Called the restaurant and all they could say when I told the. Of the problems was "is that all that is wrong with your order? When do you want to come and get the things we missed.?" Really? The food was already cold so why would we make the trip back? She did offer a few extra dipping sauces on our next trip. And these people think they should be making $15 to $20 per hour? This is seriously the worst Popeyes i've been too. I've lived in this area for a while and this place is just consistently awful. Terrible atmosphere, inside you'll be lucky if the soda machine ain't broke and there's napkins. The food is not amazing either, Popeyes is known for a big chicken sandwich and I swear most of the time especially at night I get an awful piece. In response to popeyes response to my review. My husband contacted your corporate to complain. You can't speak to a person. Contact is done through email. My husband explained what happened when ordering in an email. Nothing was done to fix their error. Most resturants that have messed up my order has fixed the issue and apologized for the mistake. But not popeyes corporate. We will NEVER go to any popeyes again due to their poor customer service and unwillingness to fix a mistake their company made. Very bad company. This location just hired a new Manager (thank GOODNESS), named Robert. I think I fell in luv in the drive-thru, just kidding. BUT, do you know how hard it is to have a great moment in a fast food drive thru?!?! He has such a light, down to earth and incredible sense of humor! He made me have a genuine laugh while taking my order. I asked him if I'd be able to select what pieces of chicken I wanted in a Family Bundle meal. He said, "where do you think you are...and before I finish what he said, let me tell you that for a quick second I thought he was going to say something snarky or rude - as I've experienced there before, but he ended up saying "where do you think you are, Popeyes or something?!?!" He was just as kind, light-hearted and professional at the window. I told him I'm recovering from a recent back surgery, and for a moment he took my mind off my pain. I told him Popeyes is fortunate to have him. He made a rough outing, pleasant. It was also nice to NOT hear "sorry, we don't have any wings...we don't have any thighs...you'll have to wait 20 minutes if you want that." Truth be told, I stopped going to this particular location for some time because things like that happened way more often than not. When I got home, I actually had everything I ordered. The employees were yelling and arguing amongst themselves while another was off filming TikTok videos from the kitchen area, filming outwards towards the dining area where I was sitting making me feel very unconformable. My food was about 20-30 minutes late past the pickup time on the mobile app, and then when I got home it was the wrong flavor of wings. Staff at this location will also just randomly sit in the dining area with guests and take drive thru orders on their microphone headset just a few feet away from where you're eating, it's extremely strange behavior when they do this at the table next to you. Extreme lack of professionalism, over casual 'employees' treat this place like it's their personal hang out, customer experience is the absolute last thing on any of their minds. Front door has been broken for months with ugly paper signs warning in all bold text not to use it, rather than just fix the door. Never any paper towels in the bathroom making it hard to dry your hands. There's often trash thrown around everywhere. It's straight up embarrassing. I don't like leaving these Karen reviews, but trust me if anything I'm under reporting just how bad it is here on a consistent basis. Food: As expected from a Popeyes fast food franchise. Nothing out of the ordinary so I suppose 3 stars is fair. Service: 1 star. Not good. Pulled up to the drive through on a Saturday afternoon (2:30pm) and was asked to wait for about 3 minutes before they were even ready to take my order (There was nobody ahead of me). Not sure what the hold up was but the inside was not particularly busy either. Once I was able to place my order (chicken sandwich combo), I pull up to the window and looks like the manager and an associate was discussing something unrelated to my order. The window was wide open so I watched them the whole time. The associate had someone on the phone and was trying to figure out an order, but was having some difficulties. The manager ended up taking the phone and walking away. Then the associate took my payment and waited a little to hand my my order. There were no exchanges of "thank you" or "have a nice day" or anything customer service related. I know this ain't no Chick-fil-A but customer service skills were not on display at all. Finally, getting to my bag of food, they did not offer any napkins, ketchup or even my straw for my drink. Wouldn't recommend this location as they clearly are not in the business for their community. Poor management at this franchise. Will be spending my money at other places. Only reason I'm not giving a 1-star overall review is because my food was cooked thoroughly and was still warm. Popeyes makes my favorite chicken sandwich, but to get the sandwich you have to deal with the most incompetent employees ever. employee at front desk takes our orders, and forgot to tell us they are out of large cups until we are in the process of paying for the meals. Employee at the front desk tells us after we pay for the meal that he cannot produce a receipt for us. Employee at front desk gives us cups and we go to the ice machine and there's no ice. My wife goes to the women's bathroom and it is a mess and there are no paper towels at all. The toilet paper is hanging from the hook designed for the ladies to hang their purse from. Employees behind the front desk by the cash register.... one is eating chicken and the other employee behind the cash register is eating french fries. i'm pretty sure this is a Health Department violation in any and all states in the United States. Yelp reviews are very poor overall and it doesn't seem Management has the desire? or ability to implement improvements. Taking all the negative reviews in mind I decided to give location a try. I went around 1pm. I drove up to the speaker and I was asked to hold a min. No big deal there the lady was back in about 2-3 min. I ordered my food and paid. Was asked to wait in front for my food. After about 6-7 min a man walked up to my window I said hey he said nothing back handed my food I said thank you he said yea and left. Ok... so I drove back home. I got a sandwich for me and one for my mom. Their new wings 6pc ghost pepper and 6pc sweet and spicy. Fries and a coke. To my surprise a sandwich was missing and the wings were all sweet and spicy so I never got to try the ghost pepper ranch. Friendliness wasn't there but they weren't rude either. As for service the kinda only gave me 2/3 of what I ordered maybe what would have a saved them a little would be if they offered me any other sauces. Used to be a great location to get a delicious spicy chicken sandwich until tonight! Stop by the drive thru after a long day at work. Ordered a #3 combo with a frozen lemonade...what I got was dry ass piece of chicken that seemed like it had been left out on the warmer table all day. No napkins no straw and my lemonade well it was not frozen...in fact it did not even have ice. When I asked what happened to my frozen lemonade I was told that the "freezing agent" was not working properly and that they only had this. I said to the window clerk the polite and proper thing to do was notify me at time I placed my ordered that they did not have frozen lemonade tonight. They don't even deserve the 1 star that I am forced to leave in order to post this review. So angry right now So mad. Such a waste of money and disappointment for a late dinner. Definitely felt like I got overcharged for what was supposed to be $11 worth o Update: Rough. Had to ask 3x to be acknowledged so I could order after standing at counter and ignored by 4 employees. Went there about an hour ago. They gave me a chicken sandwich that clearly was sitting out too long. Too the point where the bread was stale and the chicken was rubbery.
