Okay, so late review but I cannot get this place out of my mind! I had the frozen pumpkin chai and it was SO good. The store front is small and could be easily missed. The inside is clean, there is a shared parking lot with plenty of space, and covid precautionary guidelines are followed. The inside of the coffee shop is trendy and vibrant. Prices are comparable to other coffee houses, maybe a bit more on the modest side. I cannot wait to come back and try more drinks. The place has awesome reviews and now I see why! read more

Stumbled upon this place on Yelp while looking for the nearest coffee shop where I was doing errands. Of course what caught my eye was the flower wall and of course their yummy looking iced coffees!! I never knew this place existed and I think this place used to be a Starbucks way back in the day. I ordered an iced honey lavender latte with oat milk. It wasn't as sweet as I thought it was going to be when I first sipped it - but all good because it was still great strong coffee. They had plenty of merchandise available for purchase too. Just left. Stopped by with my sister right now to grab coffee and some sammies. Brenda was a gem from the moment we walked in until we left. She has a sparkly energy, good customer service, and just a nice person in general. We ordered the vanilla bean latte [iced], the Mexican mocha [iced, turkey and provolone sandwich, and turkey pesto sandwich. Both were so delicious and perfect. It's all the right amounts of everything, crispy toasted bread, fresh ingredients. I wish I got the other girl's name because she was wonderful as well. I think she put the sammies together, so thank you! I will definitely be coming back here on my lunch breaks. :) read more

I have to say I'm going to be spoiled having Klatch soooo close to home....it's been a while when I've had their seriously killer coffee. We use to make it a point to stop by the San Dimas location because the coffee is that good....just like any other good food place that leaves you with great impressions the first through all the way to your latest. I got a nitro cold brew and love drinking black coffee for the flavor. Those other places with the green awning and drive through just lost a nitro cold brew customer for certain.....especially if I can get this stuff by the growler full. They also serve regular cold brew as well. The nitro though has the best balance of flavors that are not over roasted burnt flavor. They were really payed attention to not just a set time but actually taking samples for quality control and stopping the roasting when the beans are done. There's a lot of coffee roasters around in this area that are good but not excellent. This is what award winning tastes like. Now the flavor is like coffee candy but with out the major sugar taste if that makes sense. It's an intense flavor that's so smooth that you can just really appreciate deep dark chocolate flavor with almost a caramel like smooth finish. Call me nuts but that's what I taste drinking this coffe black. The crew were very warm, welcoming and friendly. I believe the woman that was serving and managing the the establishment is one of the family members that owns this place. Love small businesses because they care and try to get to know you. Had a quick chat about coffee flavors and brew process. Can't wait till the rona is over and we can actually sit and hang out at this place. They currently have touchless payment, curb side pickup with use of their app (gotta get that app to try). The cold brew here is excellent, try it. They make it with their Crazy Goat blend. The name refers to the time in 850 AD when an Ethiopian goat herder named Kaldi saw his goats behaving differently and dancing all around after they ate red coffee berries from the bush. There is a nice picture of goats in the field on their website. Now let me quiz you on something else. Do you know why coffee is sometimes called Mocha? Because Mocha is the name of the port city in Yemen where the coffee trade started in the 1300s! When the island of Java was colonized by the Dutch in the 17th century, trading ships carrying coffee from Java would also stop at Mokha on their way back to Europe and the result was to make a blend of the two very compatible beans. Klatch is in operation and open still. I only bought whole coffee beans, they were roasted within a few days of me purchasing them, so very fresh. The employee offered to grind the beans for you, which you can decline.I got the Crazy Goat Blend, which is a medium-dark roast, the roast was nice and not overdone (no burnt flavor). I didn't buy any brewed coffee, other beverages, and food, so I can't make any judgements on that. Super hyped that a new location opened up near Los Angeles. No need to drive all the way to Pomona anymore to pick up their award winning roasted coffee beans. My wife and I order the same drinks every time we go to Klatch. She gets the Honey Bee (iced vanilla latter w honey) and I get an americano (either hot or cold). Drinks tasted exactly how we expected it to be from other locations. Highly recommend this place for coffee lovers. I went to their grand opening yesterday. This location was Starbucks before. The baristas were super friendly and patiently helped me with ordering a reishi Peppermint latte unsweetened with nonfat milk. The interior is very nice and they sell delicious muffins and variety of sandwiches, coffees and mugs/cups. Their pastries look fresh opposed food the Starbucks pastries. I can't wait to try their coffees and variety of packaged coffees too. From farm to coffee is a great theme as thy source their coffees from around the world. Plenty of parking and you can grab a cup before you head to CVS or Trader Joe's which is in the same plaza too. I have been back here two times since writing this review. I also ordered the cafe latte and it's super smoothe and not bitter like other coffee shops out there. Their pastries are not super sweet and are made in house from their San Dimas location per the barista. The staff are always so friendly and helpful when asking about different drinks and coffee questions. I sampled the cold brew today and it's very good and smoothe as well. read more

I was very excited to try klatch coffee. My impression of the shop - nice design, roomy (probably because no tables/chairs are set out due to COVID). I ordered the Patio Special on a 113 degree super hot day and give the drink 4 stars. However, I am rating klatch 3 stars because of the service. Employees were friendly but poorly trained and slow. There were 3 staff working. 2 making drinks, 1 at the register. Only one party was ahead of me ordering and one other party waiting for his drinks. I waited almost 25 minutes from the time I entered the shop until I received my beverage. One barista opened up a binder to look up the recipe on how to make a drink. Other barista' s partner came in to the shop to drop off food for the employee. She took the food and then proceeded to introduce her partner to her fellow employees and then feed her partner a cookie. Obviously, this employee should not have been socializing with her partner and other employees while patrons were waiting for their orders. I understand new businesses often have service problems so I am willing to try klatch again. Hopefully, things will be better in the future. read more

So happy this coffee shop opened. Formerly a Starbucks and definitely an upgrade. Great location, plenty of parking. The staff is super friendly and the drinks are so good. I have had the Matcha Latte (iced) with oat milk and the Oat Capp on Tap. I haven't tried anything hot yet but now that we are finally getting some fall-like weather I will definitely be back. The food is made to order and not from a package so it takes a little longer and I am okay with that. I've been to Klatch a handful of times since their grand opening and have really enjoyed the quality of their coffee. When they first opened, the store was always packed and service was on the slower side, which is understandable. It's been a couple months since they first opened, but the service has remained terribly mediocre. Don't get me wrong, employees are friendly and welcoming, but service is terribly slow and the baristas seem to be poorly trained. I've visited multiple times, ordering both ahead of time, on the app and in-person and there's always something "incomplete" about my order, like forgetting to put in creamer or milk to a coffee. More recently, the cashier forgot to get my cold brew, even though there was only 1 other patron in the store. I've visited a couple times when the store is practically empty and a drink order will still take 15 minutes. There's been instances where the baristas are standing around and chatting when patrons are waiting for their orders. More recently, there's bound to be one staff member that has his/her mask worn incorrectly or his/her nose hanging out. Not a good look. read more

Alright. So this is a multiple person review. I got an ice caramel latte and it was not great. Like I felt like it was meh. The pour was off. The temperature was like warm and the ratio of oat milk was off. The customer service was awkward. Like the staff didn't know their menu well and tried to compare items to things like Starbucks and 711 which I felt somewhat insulting like we all have some basic ass taste buds. I don't think the lady was rude just seemed to miss the mark and came off somewhat cringe. When asked about the bathroom she went into details about why it was out of service ha. It's ok to just say out if service ha. Root beer float ordered by kid was praised. Patio special drink was ordered by another adult and they praised it. Vegetarian Sandwich was good but kids didn't like it. M&M Cookies were praised as good by one kid but one kid didn't care much for it. All in all it was basic and not a place I would go too again. I've heard great things about Klatch and wanted to try when I saw they were open in San Gabriel. I came in with my husband on a scorching day and was looking forward to a nice cold drink. I loved my iced creme brûlée latte. It was the perfect amount of sweetness and creaminess without the bitter aftertaste of coffee. I will definitely be back for that! My husband got the Oat Milk Capp on Tap. It took a while for our orders to come out and partially was due to the changing of his drink on tap. I believe one of the new baristas couldn't figure out how to change the "keg" and decided to give us the gunky residue of the old one. This is where the one star deduction comes from. We can see you struggling to get the drink out and all that foam from the old keg is slowly oozing out of the dispenser. That's not okay o serve to customers so we kindly asked for another from the new keg. They obliged and another seasoned barista came and made that transaction. I understand it's a new business and it hasn't been long since they opened. I just hope all the baristas are trained well and they know exactly what to do in all situations. I really love Klatch coffee for the drinks because of the alternative options that they have for dairy products. My favourite drink there is definitely the iced soy vanilla latte because of the refreshing feeling of drinking it. I also appreciate that they have multiple sizes for the drinks which makes the pricing more fair. The coffee was a little too sweet but the cookie was pretty good. However, the person with the braids at the register and no name tag was NOT friendly and did not say thank you or acknowledge the [undeserved] tip. Klatch is one of my new fav coffee shops near me. San Marino/San gabriel DESPERATELY needed a good cafe fr. They have the best lattes, ugh. Also the fact that they offer plain bagels makes me like them even more lol. This place is so wonderful. Staff is amazing and super friendly. They can adjust the sweetness level of the lattes and that's always a super big bonus for me since I cannot have too much sugar. The avocado toast was superb, honestly the perfect amount of lemon and seasoning. The place is immaculate and clean and trendy. All the things you could want during Covid while not forgetting about the Instagram aesthetic. Forgot my phone in the car this time, but inside there is a beautiful wall of flowers.
