Super delicious brunch with the best vibes! The industrial-chic interior is stunning, and the service was very nice and attentive. The breakfast burrito was incredible, but the cinnamon rolls are a total standout- big, perfectly glazed, and a must-order for the table. All around great energy and even better food

Kizzo is one of those rare spots that works for nearly any mood--whether you're in the mood to catch the big game, hang out with friends over drinks, or grab brunch with the family. The atmosphere strikes a great balance: lively enough to feel social, but warm and welcoming--especially when you come in with younger adults or kids in tow. The full bar menu is solid, with drinks that hit the mark whether you want something classic or something with a twist. One of my favorite parts? The "Roll Ritual" cinnamon rolls they offer on weekends--yes, including Ube--which are absolutely delicious. If they're available, make sure to try one. The staff are consistently friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which really adds to the relaxed vibe. It doesn't feel forced; it feels like folks who enjoy what they're doing and want you to enjoy it too. Definitely coming back!

We went to Kizzo for WuTang Wednesday but sadly didn't realize it was cancelled until we got there. We're excited to come back next week though! We stayed for a drink before they closed. I ordered the banana bread espresso martini and my partner ordered the Mexican coke and rum. Both drinks were delicious! The food menu looked tasty too. The space was cute and cozy. They had one host/server/bartender but it worked perfectly for the space. She was friendly and the drinks came out quick.

We stopped in Kizzo formerly StepChld for a quick breakfast. I want to call out Mohammed for the amazing service he provided my husband and I. He was both attentive and funny. If the food wasn't good we might come back just for him. However, the food was good too! We both had the breakfast burrito and added the Ethiopian birria. I chose a carrot cake cinnamon roll and hubby had the blueberry. We will make our way back there soon to try the famous Cooper burger. Thank you Kizzo!

The decor is fun, it's like a fever dream of a newspaper themed pirate cove with downtown holiday sparkle. Walking in, there's a news-themed entry, then you see a mermaid reading a newspaper at a pirate ship bar playing sports games on the TVs. It's wild, but it's so fun. We had great seats at a table by the window looking out to downtown, which was great for people watching while we waited for our food. We were also entertained by the football and hockey games on the TVs. Our waitress was swift, but we waited a while for her to come back to cash us out after we ate. I ordered their burger with fries and a Pinot noir on the side. The burger was cooked nicely at medium well. There were several cocktails that sounded great, but a nice burger and dry red was calling to me that night. My husband got the Korean bbq fried chicken sandwich and we split that and the burger halfsies. I liked the chicken sandwich, but not as much as I enjoyed the burger. A fun choice for a meal in downtown Minneapolis, don't let the reviews steer you away. Hopefully you can catch the bartender climbing the rope stairs for a bottle!

The restaurant was understaffed - the bartender was not only running the bar but also serving the entire dining area. We sat at the bar and waited about 10 minutes before being greeted. We also overheard a nearby table voice frustration about the slow service. We're pretty patient, so it wasn't the end of the world, but it was noticeably slow. That said, once we were helped, our server was friendly and attentive. I ordered a Spicy Margarita and my husband went with an Old Fashioned. My margarita was on the weaker side; not bad, just forgettable. My husband enjoyed his Old Fashioned. For food, we tried the Bang Bang Shrimp, Thai Chicken Lettuce Wraps, and the Crab-Stuffed Portabella. The standout was definitely the Bang Bang Shrimp; we both really liked it. The lettuce wraps and stuffed mushroom were fine, just not dishes we'd return specifically for. The overall vibe was calm and low-key, and the staff was kind despite being stretched thin. I'm glad we gave it a try, but it's probably not a place we'll be rushing back to.

We originally planned to sit on the heated patio, but it was still a little too chilly outside, so we ended up moving indoors instead. We started with the chips trio, and the guac and queso were definitely my favorites. I seriously couldn't stop eating them! The only downside was that quite a few of the chips in our basket were broken into really small pieces. For my meal, I ordered the 2 Tex Mex tacos. They were really tasty and super filling with great portion sizes, though they did seem a little heavy on the ground beef. Overall, still a great experience and a fun place to eat!

The bar server greeted us and let us know how to order. We were both starving and wanted to get some tacos. I had the chicken tinga and the braised beef. I really loved the chicken tinga but the braised beef just did not have a lot of flavor. I also had a side of beans, they were definitely undercooked and again, not a ton of flavor with them. I also had the horchata, it is a small glass filled with ice, so not sure it is worth the price point or at least order two. The guacamole was amazing and I would definitely get that if you go! PROS: Tortillas were great, loved the chicken tinga Great space, drinks galore CONS: Parking- always- there is street parking Lack of flavor in some items
