Kizzo is one of those rare spots that works for nearly any mood--whether you're in the mood to catch the big game, hang out with friends over drinks, or grab brunch with the family. The atmosphere strikes a great balance: lively enough to feel social, but warm and welcoming--especially when you come in with younger adults or kids in tow. The full bar menu is solid, with drinks that hit the mark whether you want something classic or something with a twist. One of my favorite parts? The "Roll Ritual" cinnamon rolls they offer on weekends--yes, including Ube--which are absolutely delicious. If they're available, make sure to try one. The staff are consistently friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which really adds to the relaxed vibe. It doesn't feel forced; it feels like folks who enjoy what they're doing and want you to enjoy it too. Definitely coming back!

We went to Kizzo for WuTang Wednesday but sadly didn't realize it was cancelled until we got there. We're excited to come back next week though! We stayed for a drink before they closed. I ordered the banana bread espresso martini and my partner ordered the Mexican coke and rum. Both drinks were delicious! The food menu looked tasty too. The space was cute and cozy. They had one host/server/bartender but it worked perfectly for the space. She was friendly and the drinks came out quick.

I've been to Step Child (the former name) several times and each time really enjoyed my food. We use to get the burger - beef and impossible - wings and the tacos. Since changing their concept and name to Kizzo the food has gone way down and literally doesn't taste or look the same. Prior to this most recent experience I tried their Ube cinnamon roll - it's definitely not worth the calories. With all the good food in the area and the delicious treats available I would not try any other flavor - it was that bad. But we wanted our fave burger, so we tried again. We just ordered takeout. You have to use a 3rd party site because their phone number is not publicly listed. I ordered two burgers, one a beef Cooper burger the second I ordered a Cooper Burger with an impossible patty instead of beef patty. When we picked up the order and got home we saw that they gave me the vegan burger on their menu not the Cooper Burger (sub impossible patty that they allow via the 3rd party ordering site). Not only did they get the order wrong the food was nowhere near as good as it usually is. Normally the burgers are large and extend outside the bun (it's a smash burger). This time they were not smashed, flavored totally different and honestly it wasn't tasty - at all. I paid extra to sub my patty and feel as though I've thrown $45 (the cost of two burgers) out of the window. I'm truly sad to say that we likely won't be back after this experience.

We stopped in Kizzo formerly StepChld for a quick breakfast. I want to call out Mohammed for the amazing service he provided my husband and I. He was both attentive and funny. If the food wasn't good we might come back just for him. However, the food was good too! We both had the breakfast burrito and added the Ethiopian birria. I chose a carrot cake cinnamon roll and hubby had the blueberry. We will make our way back there soon to try the famous Cooper burger. Thank you Kizzo!

We had a great time here. The decor is so much fun! It's like you've walked inside a newspaper…read more You also really have to visit the bathroom and check out the mirrors and the newspaper wall decor in there. I won't say more because it will spoil the surprise. They really just went all out with the newspaper theme, table tops, walls, menus, etc. It was surprisingly not crowded for dinner time. The service was quick, the server was friendly and attentive, and our meals were delightful. We got the brie curds and wow, I think these were the most amazing curds I've ever had. I could have just had a pile of them as my meal, but that didn't really seem wise. They come with a blueberry 'ketchup' which was more like a jam but really made the dish! My meal was the mushroom gorgonzola penne which was cooked just right and had piles of mushrooms, and yes, more cheese. This place was a lot of fun. I highly recommend it if you get a chance.

I've been coming here for many years. The food is always good…read more The last time I was there, only myself and one other person were there. A lady was working the bar. She had a personality of a Styrofoam cup filled with distilled water. She never asked if I wanted anything else when I was done eating (like dessert). There was no conversation or engagement. I was bored. I left. I'd go back I suppose since the food was good, but at a bar, the bartender should at least have a personality?
