Stopped in at this bar and had an overall decent experience. The atmosphere was interesting, though the place is very dark, which may or may not be your style. One of the more unique features was the two-way mirrors in the wash area outside the bathrooms. It was pretty entertaining messing with my buddies by knocking on the mirror while they were on the other side. The bar also has stripper poles in the center, which definitely adds a different vibe and makes the place stand out. Overall, it was a fun spot to check out and had some unique touches, but with so many other options in the area, it probably won't be a place I return to regularly. read more

Not my first time in there so they know I am a paying customer and chose to ignore me for higher paying customers. Food is mediocre bar food. I wish I had anything nice to say about the service. Been here twice. The first it was the middle of the week, it was dead even at 10pm, and the its downtown prices, ouch. Second time was WILD!!! Customers drunkenly dancing on some poles, people serving free shots standing on the bar, just wild! The energy was crazy and chaotic, an extroverts dream, everyone talks to anyone. The only con is that the bar gets busy the bartenders tend to serve their tipping regulars first so it takes forever to get a drink, but it's understandable. If you're in a pinch they have servers with trays of drinks walking around. The bathroom the first time was clean, but the second time with all the people it was chaos. The ADA specifically states in a restaurant, a service animal must be allowed to accompany the person with a disability in all areas that are open to other patrons. I went to Sneaky Pete's on Saturday with my friend. As I was standing up, one of the workers ran into me. I didn't see him, but I apologized. He replied an angry sentence back to me, and when I apologized again, he grabbed me by the neck and put me in a chokehold and carried me out of the bar. I was extremely confused on why he reacted like this and used such extreme physical force for what seemed like such a minor encounter. If this is typical for how staff treat customers, I would not recommend Sneaky Pete's to anyone. read more

This is a great spot to watch games on jumbo screens while dining. Some of the best bar food in downtown Minneapolis. Our waitress was friendly and made sure that we had everything we needed. The menu has a really diverse selection of food items. The waffles fries and seasoned sour cream are amazing. The owners are very nice and always make you feel welcome. read more

Tried out this place after a Twins game because it was the only "sports bar" showing on yelp. It was a big space with maybe five people in it. The two bartenders working were totally uninterested in helping anyone other than the locals who must frequent the place. I had a couple drinks, paid, and left. It was unspectacular to say the least. Difficult to get a drink. Waitresses weren't friendly. Place had more of a strip club vibe than a sports bar. Hard pass. read more

If I could give this place a 0 stars I would. After reading the other one-star reviews it's obvious they let men do what ever they want to woman. The second a woman does anything to man (throw a drink at a man) they are so quick to kick the woman out after being sexually harassed. The bartender that is always outside on the weekends refused to serve me and my girls because guys kept buying us drinks, and claimed that we were "harassing" men all because men would come up to us and buy us drinks. We go there to mingle, dance and drink...Isn't that the whole point of going to a bar?. If you guys don't want business then we will take our money and time else where. Yes, there are a lot of douchebags here, but usually you get to pick who you talk to. Great vibe at this bar though. Lots of girls, lots of energy. Good mix of classics and top 40 pop music. They give away free T-shirts and mouthful shots at the bar when the announcement comes on. I didn't expect Girls Gone Wild (great conversation starter) to be showing on the TVs here. Oh, and did I mention the hottest bartender I've seen in years was working downstairs? Totally awesome. But, still overcrowded. Could barely find a place to stand inside here. WARNING TO ALL WOMEN!!!! This is a dangerous place, they allow women in and not any man that could protect the women that go here. I was let in to this club and my husband was told to go to the back of the line and once he made it to the front they told him he couldn't come in. Before I realized what had happened I was roofie by someone. My husband watched from the front for me to come out. I have no recollection of what happened that night. Thank god my husband was at the front door waiting for me to come out. He told me that I was unable to walk or even speak correctly. He carried me to our vehicle so he could rush me to the hospital. We were pulled over by the state police and he was taken to jail and I was sent to the hospital in an ambulance. When I woke up I had no idea where I was or how I got there. This club lures women in, hires them as waitresses and promises them that they can make lots of money being a stripper on the other side of this club dreamgirls. We had a great time. My wife and I don't get out much due to the kids. We ended up here two nights back to back. Wednesday and Thursday night. I think both of us could have done a 3rd night but we changed hotels so we could stay at one of the casinos. It's funny because they don't really have a good selection of drinks. Some of the people with us went through 2 or 3 selections before they finally said "Yes, we have that". But yet we stayed for hours, drank all evening and laughed our a** off. Both nights the waitresses were fantastic, even as busy as it got, we never really ran dry. As the night progressed, and the "Stripper Poles" became easier for lot's of ladies (and some guys unfortunately) So entertaining. Laughed so hard at times. I don't know, some of these reviews have been pretty rough on the place but I can tell you that we had an awesome time. My wife danced the night away while I drank the night away. I then asked if they were showing the specific boxing match and named the boxers, the employee said yes with an attitude. I show up to watch the fight and ask the bouncer if they were showing it, he responds that they should be. I walk in and there's not a boxing match on the tv. I went to Sneaky's on a Vikings Sunday and got the breakfast buffet, which was pretty good. They had eggs, potatoes, sausage and bacon. A little high for what they had at 9 bucks. But a good suck up of grease. The servers were FANTASTIC and they kept the 6 dollar beers (3 hours for all you can drink) going until noon. They don't serve beer until 10 though, which they should advertise because I could have had an extra hour of sleep before beer was available. Always walked by it but never gone in before (as outside it had a dark goth look to it). But I went here two weeks ago for drinks with a different set of coworkers. Unfortunately we got there after happy hour. Inside surprised me since I expected warehouse-y concrete floors and black walls, BUT it turned out to be an old style saloon with wooden plank floors and decorated with Route 66 style signs and biker ads. Not bad. When we got there there wasn't much of a crowd but the doorman told us 'dancing' started at 9:30. I knew this was a club too so I thought 'okay'... Later I found out this place had pole dancers (non-nude?) when I recognized the poles and put the 'dancing' together. The waitress was super friendly and interested and she had a trainee with her who was also interested and attentive. They checked back with us multiple times for drinks and food orders through the couple hours we stayed. They were also very engaging and we had good fun interacting with them. I was confused and surprised when they asked to hold one of our cards (I think only the bar area was open and we had been able to get a table), but at the end of the night it was returned without any mishap. We ended up getting some shots, mixed drinks, beers (Bluemoon & Heineken). My buddy also ordered the nachos with beef. Pretty decent. It had a solidly good taste and was topped with jalapenos, olives, black beans, salsa, and sour cream! Slightly better than your chain restaurant version. At the end I saw the tab and it was EXTREMELY reasonable for the 2.5 rounds of drinks we had and food (~$37 IIRC). A good spot to just go for cheap drinks and to relax. Should've tried it out before now. Likely one day I'll be back for the 'dancing' and night club experience. read more

Came here on a Saturday night and watched the place fill up to capacity. Dancing, drinking, and stripper pole use in full effect, servers were attentive and drinks were good. Fast forward 24 hours to Sunday night and the place was practically empty even after a T-Wolves game. Same DJ on Sunday night played nearly the same tracks (in the same order) as the night prior. Great atmosphere on a Friday and a very diverse crowd...noticed quite a few cat fights, but their staff was on top of it immediately. Good drinks and good music. Pretty clean establishment. So, I work in downtown Minneapolis, and wanted to stop with a coworker for a drink after work, so we went into Sneaky Petes. Obviously, they do not allow business people in this bar (we were wearing suit jackets and had our laptop work bags), because from beginning to end we were CRUCIFIED by the staff of this establishment. First, they insisted they search both our laptop bags prior to entry (the TSA at the airport is more friendly, btw). They could not articulate what they were searching for, but I guess they did not find it, because we were allowed in. Then, it took 20 minutes for the ONLY TWO CUSTOMERS AT THE BAR to get waited on for a beer. Nice. Then what did we get? Attitude from the bartender for ordering 2 beers. Finally, a bouncer comes up to us and threatens to "throw our bags into the garbage" for no reason, and when we protest, he tells us "we deserve it for bringing competing bar flyers into his bar". Thanks, douche. I have a real job, not pushing bar flyers into people's faces on the street corner i.e. Vegas style. We got up and left.
