Delicious food every time we go. This has become a staple in my household. They also provide timely and great customer service.

The food and presentation are excellent Spicy Pork

I just love this hidden gem here in Tampa. The fried moon pie was the topping on this dinner date with my love.

I was excited to try this little spot out as many said it was a hidden gem. I left with mixed feelings and unsure if I would return, maybe for the late night happy hour if I'm in the area. Overall, I felt the service was off and lacked professionalism (not sure if it was because it was a slow night, which you would think service would be faster). The appetizers were alright, and some of the sushi rolls had too much rice and not enough fish. It's a nicely decorated restaurant with a nice sushi bar. **Late night happy hour: They offer a late night happy hour starting at 8pm and I believe this is $3 off signature rolls, $2 off kitchen appetizers, buy one get one hot & cold sake, and buy one get one draft beer. The signature rolls on special seem to have a lot of rice, and the nigiri or sashimi aren't included in the happy hour which is disappointing. Food: Dumplings seemed previously frozen and were heavily fried. They weren't served with any dipping sauce which I found odd. The crab rangoon was interesting as it was different from any that we've had before. It was circular wrapped in a leaf and then lightly battered and fried. The sauce on top of it was very good, but we wouldn't order again. For sushi we ordered salmon and yellowtail nigiri, tuna, cucumber and avocado classic roll with addl tempura, and the green dragon roll. The nigiri was great 10/10. I wish there was more tuna in the classic roll as it seemed to be less than half tuna and the rest avocado and cucumber. The $1 upcharge for tempura chips seemed a bit steep and the chips were just thrown on top and not incorporated in the roll. The eel roll was very disappointing and seemed like there was very little eel in the roll. Service: Service was a bit off, but our waiter was personable. There were only 2 tables in the restaurant and there were mistakes with placing our order. Makes me wonder if service was inattentive because it was a slower night, and it's better when it's busier or if it would be even worse on a busier night. Not sure.

Asian sensation, eed dragon, and the trick or treat.

The sushi spot looks great and has a nice vibe, but the food itself is just okay. Presentation is better than the flavor -- fresh enough, but nothing that really stands out.

Rock n roll (left) and kiwa roll (right)

This place was amazing! A friend suggested we go here and check it out and it was an absolute yes. Parking is limited so be mindful about this. Seats inside were a variety of tables, chairs, and benches. I started off with a steamed bun. It was delicious. Pork belly with a variety of pickled vegetables. Loved it! I ordered the Rock n roll (left) and kiwa roll (right). The rock n roll is tempura shrimp, cream cheese, and asparagus. It is topped with torched scallops, truffle aioli, eel sauce, scallions, and tabiko. The kiwa roll is krab salad and tempura shrimp. It is topped with salmon, avocado, spicy mayo, eel sauce, scallions, and fried masago. Both rolls were absolutely fantastic! Very fresh. Held together perfectly! Will definitely come back and recommend!

When I heard there was a place in tampa that did Japanese (especially sushi my fav) and Korean bbq ..... I was super intrigued as these are two of my fav cuisines and foods in general. Kiwa totally exceeded my expectations. First off, the menu was even bigger than it let off online. They had so many specials and innovative dishes we jumped on immediately. I asked them for so many recommendations and our waitress and the hostess were beyond helpful and patient with us. We started with some Aperol spritz (huge!) and yellowtail carpaccio which literally melted in your mouth and had the perfect kick from the sriracha & jalapeño on top. The sauce it was in was absolutely lovely as well - a vinaigrette vibe. Then we had the cheese katsu which also had chicken. Aside from being served with rice and Korean slaw (YUMM) this really gave me chicken Parmesan vibes. It was so so delicious and definitely blew me away. We also had the crispy rice with tuna, avocado, and some veggies/salad which was the refreshers we needed. I loved their take on the crispy rice - the additives of the toppings did add a lot for me. We ordered diet cokes - they were super crispy & hit the spot as we went into the next 2 Korean dishes we ordered (bulgogi and spicy pork). Both came with rice, Korean mashed potatoes, & an orange garnish and all sides totally elevated the main dishes. They also came with miso soup which hit hard for me and I'm not usually the biggest miso soup fan. The flavors of the beef and pork oh my gawddd. The spices, the sauce, everything. I couldn't get enough. We were pretty full at this point but powered through the rolls we ordered - we went with Kiwa & Crunchy Krab specialty rolls. The Kiwa was the perfect balance to the crunchy Krab which was a deep fried roll our server recommended. Both were so delicious and as an avid spicy mayo lover, didn't need anymore toppings since they already had and were amazing as is. It was time to order some of their well known bobas and after careful consideration and recs from our server, we went with the Thai milk tea & Oreo milk tea both with tapioca boba - YUMMMMM. Refreshing and the perfect sweet treat..... then they surprised us with fried Oreos & vanilla ice cream and ugh it was the perfect meal cap. Can't wait to come back and try literally everything on the menu. The vibes were also great and the staff was perfectly friendly. No notes tbh.

Went in for lunch today. Really enjoyed the experience. Cute atmosphere - nicely decorated and clean Friendly service - our server Chase was great and personable! The food came out quickly and we left stuffed- great portions per price. We ordered the tuna crispy rice, red dragon roll, cotton candy roll and steak fried rice. The crispy rice and steak were standouts! We will we be back.

Super cute inside - very Japanese.

NEW HOT SPOT ALERT! Right on Bayshore near the back gate - Kiwa took over where Asian Kitchen once was. Started with 3 for $15 buns and they were soft and delicious with not too much sauce. Next up was the bulgogi with rice for DH and the special pork belly Ramen for me - I cannot pass up a good ramen and it did not disappoint! They have plenty of parking, a good selection of rolls, bento options and alcohol.

Delicious sushi and great service. I always get their baked mussels and torched hamachi. The ambiance is quiet but chill. I love sitting at the sushi bar as well and watching the sushi being made! 10/10

First time trying this local spot and was not disappointed. Went for lunch, our server was super friendly and attentive. I had the red dragon roll as well as the spicy pork bento box and miso soup. Everything came out super fast. The food was good and the ambiance is cozy. I have to go back to try more dishes.

Being completely transparent the service was not great ! We came in during lunch it was actually very slow so we thought we would get in and out (we were wrong ) we both ordered bentos nothing crazy we were sitting for over an hour waiting for food. It came out an hour and a half late and we had to ask for it to go .... Another 4 minutes went by ... the miso soup was cool to the touch the octopus was good it was a sweet and sour taste and great consistency the bento was literally the equivalent to Comissary sushi . The salad was soggy obviously it was sitting for a while. The rice cold the tempura cold but the stuffed pepper tasted great and so did the gyoza . Overall experience was horrible . Good thing we got a 10%military discount to account for the crappy service and cold food

Service is very good! Staff is friendly and knowledgeable about menu. Food is outstanding! Bento boxes come with a lot of food. Very tasty main dishes like spicy pork and chicken were very good. Ambiance is very nice too. Quiet and cozy. Good parking and easy to get to.

Fresh roll - they used rice paper to wrap. Recommend this one.

Recently moved here from Seattle, WA and it's a struggle finding quality and decently priced sushi in the Tampa Bay area. Came here for my birthday celebration and it was as expected. It wasn't spectacular quality, however serviceable. You can tell by ordering the sashimi platters. Despite not having the best sashimi, their rolls were great. I was so full after eating 4 prior dishes, but decided to order the Buccaneer Roll. Oh baby, this was the mayo-y Americanized sushi roll of my dreams. Could smash 2 rolls myself. The place was really quiet for a Saturday night, no need for a rez. Though their service was A+. The waiter was so sweet to gift me a deep fried cheesecake. Would stop by next time im in the area for a quick drink and roll.

In a somewhat run down looking strip mall, the small restaurant was simple, but showing K-music videos on a TV. Unfortunately I couldn't see it from my seat, but I'll change that next visit! Our server was polite, helpful, and attentive. We ordered a ridiculous amount of food since we drove 45m to try it, so had a Kimchi Pajeon, Kimbap, Soon Tofu, and Veggie Fried Rice. The pancake was DELICIOUS-super flavorful and chock full of veggies. I did not care for the Kimbap, only because it had less flavor and was a little more dry than the other items, but it tasted very fresh. The Soon Tofu was spicy and full of flavor. It came with a huge heaping of rice in a cute covered dish to keep it hot - I'm ordering these things for home! The veggie fried rice, for which we opted no egg, was also fantastic, but we ended up taking ,ost of it and the pancake home for leftovers. We were also served Ban Chan - side dishes, of small tastes of seasoned veggies such as bean sprouts, eggplant, cucumbers, broccoli, radish, and more. It was all amazing. Sadly, we had no room for anything else, but I will definitely be back as soon as possible. SO worth the drive and expense!

They were also out of the crab egg roll, out of sweet tea, and out of lettuce in which we like to wrap the bulgogi. We ordered mandu, it was good but a little bit doughy because of the wrap they use, not as crispy as we would expect. I ordered the dolsot bibimbop. Mine came out first and was sizzling hot. No complaints, the egg had a runny yolk which means it was not overcooked like many I have had in the past. The bibimbop sauce is delicious with just the right amount of kick. Waitress brought out banchans, there were six different types, pickled eggplant, nori, broccoli, kimchi, bean sprouts, and cucumbers. Son ordered pork bulgogi. The plate was heaping with pork, and the sauce was nice and thick and stuck to the pork. Spouse ordered beef bulgogi and it took about 10 minutes for his to come out after our son and I had our meals. The plate was heaping, but spouse said the beef was a little bland, but some of the bibimbop sauce took care that. Son and spouse took leftovers with them. We were kind of disappointed in the items they did not have, but the lady waiting on us was nice and we realize they are a small business and when things are busy, it is easy to run out. The interior was a little dark, did not go to the restroom so cannot comment on the cleanliness but what we did see looked clean.

He ordered the lettuce to wrap the pork bulgogi, and the lettuce was cut in half lengthwise, which made it hard to roll a lot of pork in the lettuce. It did come with a lot of bonchas.
