We have been on the hunt for a new Thai restaurant after the Thailand restaurant closed down. Nothing around was even close. Absolutely thrilled to find this gem! Such a sweet owner and literally everything was delicious. The crab rangoon - this isn't the crab rangoon you're used to. It's got a curry flavor to it and is just amazingly good. The pad Thai is incredibly good. This is going to be one of our go to restaurants, and there's so much more on their menu to explore. We hadn't even tried their sushi. So of course after my take-out, I had to come back to try their sushi and boy did it not disappoint! I don't like cucumbers so I was limited on the sushi I could get but everything we got was fantastic! Everything tasted so fresh! Everything was reasonably priced and of course I got another pad Thai and a Thai tea - solid. Rock n Roll: SO much fish, so much flavor, you don't need any dipping sauce. 10/10 will get this every time. It was my favorite sushi roll Bay to Bay: a lot of flavor with a nice crunch 9/10 Tuna Avocado Roll: simple and delicious. I had an amazing time at Baan Tawan and I'm so happy they are in the neighborhood! What kind and passionate owners, with truly amazing and delicious food. We got an array and everything was delicious! My friends loved the hamachi roll (ended up ordering another one at the end), and the BBQ beef soup. The curry was also amazing - my husband got the pineapple curry. My friends also got a gyoza roll and loved it. I got an onigiri roll (salmon) and it was delicious - with a spicy tuna roll and the pad see ew with beef - I order this dish everywhere and this was truly the best and most fresh! The broccoli soaked in that sauce was heaven. Omg. A must try if you like that dish. It was a beautiful atmosphere with such kind owners- I can't wait to go back to try the dessert!!! We typically travel to St. Pete and the other side of the bridge for GOOD authentic and flavorful Thai food. We have now found a place in Tampa that can compete with anyone in the Tampa Bay Area. Come here for the Thai food! I like them for sushi, but I love them for having fried pork jerky with sticky rice. I rarely see this on a menu, and when I do, I know that the place can make real Thai food. My husband loves their pad see ew. And their rolled fried shrimp is delicious. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! They recently relocated from a small spot near BJs BBQ and Pinch-A-Penny, but there they were take out only. This new location is in a strip that doesn't look great on the outside but don't let that fool you because they did an amazing job remodeling and decorating the interior. Service was amazing, we heard her welcome back 3 other tables that came in, and asked them if they wanted the same table. Food was incredible; we got the crag Rangoon, spring rolls and miso soup as an appetizer! Chicken pad Thai (Hot), Red Dragon and Hamachi Lover sushi rolls, everything was delicious! They even have the Japanese soda with the ball in the glass bottle, if you know you know. To top it off, it's BYOB (I overheard her talking to another couple about them bringing a bottle of their own wine last time they came). The sushi place is inside a Thai restaurant. It has seating inside and outside as well. I was very excited about the choices. I personally liked the tempura rolls: too many to choose from! The food at this place generally is great. We have been several times and haven't had a miss on any of the dishes we've ordered. Unfortunately, the issue I have is with their billing. We've noticed that if you order a rice or noodle dish with protein, the menu price says one thing (ie for example no protein $15, chicken $16, chicken and shrimp $18). When you get the bill, the bill shows the price of the item you ordered (ie chicken and shrimp for $18), and then they upcharge you $2 or $3 more as a separate line item on the bill for the same protein you already paid for. Just seemed shady unfortunately to nickel and dime customers, and sad as we were hoping to make this our go-to for Thai and sushi. read more

This place is so good, I can't believe I almost didn't go here. The space is very small with only about 3 places to sit inside and a few tables outside. This is two restaurants in one so you can order from both but you'll have to pay separately. I just can't get over how amazing the sushi was. So disappointed. This was my favorite restaurant to order sushi from on uber eats prior to their brief closure. They recently returned to uber eats and I was so excited to start getting their food again. I ordered vegetable tempura and they didn't send tempura sauce with it, they sent sweet chili sauce with it. Then my favorite was the spicy edamame which has lost most of the flavor but today they dropped what tasted like an entire salt shaker in there. Everything was coated in salt, it was inedible.
