Lemongrass beef vermicelli

I've been here several times over the years and it's consistently good, and so many options, but we routinely order the bahn mi, vermicelli, short ribs, or pork chop. While it used to be great value, prices now more standard.

Love this place!! Everything that we ordered was so yummy! It has a hot plate area where you can pick various snacks to eat at the restaurant or to go. My kids love looking at the selections. They let us mix and match things too! The service is pretty fast...and our server was super helpful in explaining the different menu items. I wish this place is close by....but next time we are in the area, we'll definitely stop there!

SOLID 5 STARS Yelp Elite All-Star Dave W chose this restaurant for our regular lunch get together. Thinh An Kitchen is a busy family style restaurant. Their menu is actually a small book. They have about a dozen tables inside and another dozen outside under a veranda. Most of their business is carry out; they even have a comprehensive buffet setup so people can choose their own items for carry out customers only. Our waitress, Queenie (That's her 'Table Name'), was on the ball and even though we got the last inside table, we were never neglected or had to wait for service. That is rare for a restaurant as busy as this one. I started with #5 Goi Cuom Tom ($5.90 for 2 pieces). Rice paper wrapped shrimp spring rolls with a tasty peanut dipping sauce. Each roll had 4 medium sized shrimp inside. Then I ordered #69 Hu Tieu Xao Hai San ($16.90) seafood stir fry entree. Chock full of large seafood chunks plus tofu squares. I'm not a big fan of tofu, but these were delicious. Altogether, a great meal with excellent service.

BBQ pork vermicelli

We had tried head cheese and pate bahn mi. Both were amazing and my favorite dish BBQ pork vermicelli could be one of the best ones I've had. The surprising special ingredient was the eggroll they have a unique flavor that really set this dish apart from others I've had. Highly recommend

Known for their varieties of house-made tofu and delicious soy milks, this locally owned Tampa Bay Vietnamese staple is famous and insanely crowded for a reason. I used to come here all the time to pick up a half gallon of their homemade pandan soy milk. But, now Pinellas Park has all the good Vietnamese restaurants so no reason for me to visit here anymore. Freshly baked breads, pastries, and prepared foods abound. Nowhere else in the area compares in specialized variety of quality foods, drinks, and desserts. While I'm not a fan of their powdered teas, I'm a fan of their coffees and sugarcane juice. Opening for breakfast six days a week, it's best to arrive early to beat the crowds. My favorite items in their prepared foods area are the pandan soy milk, lemongrass tofu, meatballs, spring rolls, and sesame balls. Many people love their phở and mì quảng, but I'm a fan of their thicker soups and stews. Dipping the crispy baguette into the soup is so satisfying. The pork belly fried crispy into bánh xèo batter is also a gamechanger. 1 Sugarcane Juice 2 Cà Phê Sữa Đá - iced coffee 3 Fresh Spring Rolls with grilled pork 4 Beef Stew with bread 5 Chicken curry stew with bread Very cramped atmosphere with tables close together.

The lemongrass chicken from here is fire! This is my second day in a row ordering it via Uber Eats.

Portion was great. Staff was very quick and kind. The ambience is also good. I also got sugarcane juice, which was very refreshing.

One of my favorite spots in all of Florida. My Chinese/Viet family swears by this place. The food is absolutely delicious, service is quick, and you can shop for more food in their market area. Every time I've been here, it is completely packed, it might take a little longer to get your food but menu items and market items never run out. Everything from the pho to com tam to the boba and banh mi is good...really can't go wrong eating anything from this place. Some of my favorites from the market side is the fried tofu, banh bao, pastries, pate, and che.

I really liked this spot a lot. There were so many things to try here! We came because we were trying to find something to do before we headed to the airport for our flight. We didn't have much of an appetite when we came, but I found them through yelp and decided to come check them out. We didn't come during rush hour, but it was still pretty packed when we got here. I got the banh mi xui Mai (pork meatball sandwich) and it was delicious. Nobody does the xui Mai in the town I'm from so I was happy to get to have it here. The bread was nicely toasted when it came out, and the pork meatball was scrumptious and full of flavor. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I also tried the banh Xeo (Vietnamese shrimp and pork belly crispy pancake). It was delicious! The pancake was cooked perfectly and the flavor was very yummy. It came out with a lot of veggies on the side. I don't have any complaints about this one at all! I definitely loved it and it's really hard to find someone to make this good. For my drink, I got a strawberry slushie. It wasn't bad, but I probably wouldn't get it again the next time I come. I had a pretty good experience here in all, and will definitely come back the next time I'm in the area. They also have a section that sells different snacks and foods to grab n go so if you don't have time to sit down, you can definitely check out the area of foods they already have prepared.

My mom always told me if you want to enjoy international cuisine, find a place where people of that region go to eat. Thinh An is one of those places. It's a little cramped inside but they do also have a little indoor patio area for more space. There's a drink and dessert bar if you aren't dining in. If you are dining in, theres a very good staff that will take care of you. They're very quick and friendly and will guide you and answer questions if you need any help. The food is wonderful. I really love the spicy beef noodle soup but I'm a pho tai (sliced beef noodle soup) purist at heart. You get the usual plate of basil, bean sprouts, lime, and jalapeños to add to your soup and a condiment caddy with your sauces is available as well.

Tofu Fried Rice

This place is definitely authentic, but I would say it's more of a "fast food" type Vietnamese restaurant vs. nicer. It's easy to find and there was a decent amount of parking which was good. They sat us quickly and we ordered, and our food came out in less than 10 minutes, and the servers were very nice. They have endless menu options so you will surely be able to find what you want. I got the tofu fried rice dish and it was good but honestly pretty bland and extremely oily. This place is good for a quick meal that is traditional but no frills. It was fun walking around the dessert section afterwards too, they have a huge grab and go section to the side.

Coconut egg puff, coconut ice cream, topped with strawberry and rainbow popping boba. Delicious

Came back here with some buds to give them a last try. I was really craving a Bahn mi. Thank heavens, it was exactly as i remembered from the past. Bbq pork Bahn Mi FTW! Sweet tender pieces of bbq pork nestled in a freshly baked crusty baguette, with a spread of Japanese Mayo, picked veggies, jalapeños and cilantro. I always lather them with sambal. I am salivating just thinking about it. One criticism: don't ask for a sandwich to go. The bread tasted stale, not at all like the one they served in the restaurant.

The menu had variety, but most items we ordered were average or below expectations. I don't think I would return.

Ask the Community - Thinh An Kitchen & Tofu

Is this sit down or quick service?

Both! They have sit down and the food comes out pretty fast, but they also have takeout and delivery. They also have a market with hot food you can just grab and go!

Hi, are your pho dishes gluten free? What about bun dishes with chicken? Looking for gluten free menu items. Thanks.

No they are not gluten free. You can always get the veggie or tofu and no noodles.

Do they serve alcohol?

Just beer and wine. Their menu is online, hope this helps 🙂

Going there for lunch I don't eat meat but I am okay with seafood what should I get what's really good?

They can make anything vegetarian or seafood!! #95 is my favorite with added shrimp

Do you have a pho broth that is all vegan (no fish/chicken/beef/pork)?

Hi. Yes, we do:) We have the vegetarian pho broth and the spicy vegetarian/vegan beef broth.

I'm glad I did and stopped overlooking it sooner, because these subs are good. It may not be in the most desirable area in town, but the store was remarkably clean and the employees were very friendly. They even allowed me to bring my sweet baby Muffin (shih tzu) inside while in her carriage. It's my first time in any Firehouse Subs, so I wasn't entirely sure what I would like. I went with The Engineer because the calorie count (conveniently plastered along the menu) was right where I wanted it, and I love most turkey subs in general. Plus, I thought the addition of mushrooms was pretty unique. I got the pickle on the side and a confetti cookie that I will eat later. (I'll let you know how it is--but anything with sprinkles will be a winner). I was pretty impressed with the quality of the sub. The meat was hot and tender, mixing well with the cheese, and the mushrooms did give it a good unique taste and texture profile like I knew it would. Meanwhile, the veggies in the sub were cool and crisp, making the whole sandwich a satisfying yet refreshing meal. I like how they ask if I would like to round up for the firemen. I realize Firehouse Subs were founded by firemen and they give back, so I said, "Why not?" since it's only rounding out to the nearest dollar. Although I think The Engineer will be my favorite and my usual to get, I'll be sure to try others on my repeat trips.
