It's been some time since I've visited Bamboozle - and it was the downtown location which is no longer there. This place...has been here, what!? 7 years or so? WOW.. My bad for not making it here sooner... I love their little outdoor area. And they even have an outdoor counter facing into the inside area. We sat at a regular table out there. The inside seemed a little squishy. Ok we ordered a lot of food... For starters we had the Okinawan purple potato dumplings...those were good... One friend ordered like tacos? And we also had beef garlic Bahn mi and a small beef pho.... All very good. They offer drinks in a cooler (bottles/cans, etc) but I opted for just plain water. Now that I've finally been to this location, I won't be too long before going back. They are also very nice here...they let us stay until after closing time, it was a bit early on a week night, so keep that in mind...
Service: 3.5/5 Food: 4/5 Price: $20-$30 Open concept space, such minimal decorations it looks unfinished. Came here previously for lunch, returned this time to try their new breakfast menu. Everything is pretty solid. Owner works in the morning + clearly has a lot of love for the food. Looks all female-run, so respect. Tip: Order + pay first, find your own seating. They bring out your food + bus the table. *Would Recommend What I Ordered: - Breakfast Beignets (Compote): fluffy, not too sweet - *Breakfast Baos (Sausage + Egg): Viet sausage so good, personally did not like the lemongrass, oily - Congee (Pork): flavorful, savory-take - Pâté Chaud: flaky, dry pastry; like a chicken meatball - *Breakfast Banh Mi (Spam + Egg): mayo heavy, soft bread, good flavor - *Breakfast Bagel: chewy, flaky, cheesy, I think it's an online trend now - Stir Fry Okra: only version of okra I've liked, not slime-y; not sure if it's offered anymore
We stopped by for a quick lunch at Bamboozle Heights which majority serves up a variety of classic Vietnamese dishes. Inside is really clean and has a very bright aesthetic. On the day we went (Tuesday) they had a half off special on Pho which was great! The beef pho was unfortunately just okay. Between the broth flavor which was decent, the quantity of meat being small (maybe because of the half off), and the noodle seemingly shorter than what I typically see, I was not too impressed. Bear in mind that this is coming from someone who grew up eating Pho religiously and has had more bowls of pho than almost any other noodle dish. There's simply a depth of flavor lacking in this broth that was the main achilles heel. If this is your first time having pho, then I think this bowl does it's job. But for a seasoned pho-eater, it fell short of where it could be.

The last visit was at the Channelside location before it closed, but then it reopened under a different Yelp profile so my review was lost. Go figure. I do like that this location has more parking than its predecessors. Unfortunately, the clientele don't park in them very well which makes it difficult to find a space wide enough to park in during peak times. That's my only gripe. There's plenty of seating inside and outside. Place your order at the counter and they give you a flower vase with a number to take to your table. The food comes out hot & fresh. I love that the emphasis is on the fresh veggies in the Banh Mi sandwiches and the fresh rolls. They are nice & crisp. The bread is toasted and has a nice crunch. The grilled pork is plentiful & tasty with the pâte and mayo. It's a good sandwich. The Crispy Duck fresh roll is my favorite. I love that they include one of those crispy baked spring roll sticks inside the fresh roll. I've only had that one other time at Roll Play in the DC area. It gives it a nice crunch. Although, I may be imaging that the one at Bamboozle had one. I could have sworn there was a crunchy stick but my friend didn't get that same experience. The shrimp fresh roll is good, and I totally appreciate the size of the shrimp. I just wish it had that smoky char grill taste that I've had elsewhere in Riverview. Other than that, it was a good visit. The food was brought to our table in a good amount of time. I'd go back again if ever in that area. I just don't go to Seminole Heights very often. I keep saying that I'll try the pho next time. It's just too difficult to pass up the Fresh Rolls. Try to catch them when they're having their "Fresh Roll Wednesday" special. It's a buy 2, get 1 free deal.
Literally one of my favorite restaurants in Tampa, let alone Seminole heights. They use fresh ingredients in their rolls. I usually get the lemongrass beef with the zesty sauce. Don't forget to add a boba, the jackfruit smoothie is yummmy! This location has difficulty with parking, so be mindful of that and maybe carpool. The shabby chic vibe of the interior and exterior coupled with the fast & friendly service make this a hot spot!
Though a goofy name, we left feeling the opposite of Bamboozled as the meals we had were delicious and a great overall experience. The thing I will come back for is the mangonada smoothie- the mix of the salty from the tajin with the tart fruity mango was fabulous. I got a bowl that was almost a Vietnamese version of a salad and it was so refreshing. We also thought the broth from the pho was wonderful, it tasted a little different from other pho I have tried. Not sure the difference but this stood out in the best way.
Wish I had something like this at home. A very chill healthy quick serve fair priced place with tasty food! Kudos!
I was good with a small pho after long trip from other countries. I was arrive during noon time. There are several patron during that time. Not busy. I got small beef pho and traditional fresh roll. Both of them just ok. The broth is good for the pho. But the noodle is kind of 30% of the full pho with 3.5 slice of beef. Not much of veggie. The fresh roll is one but has good shrimp and grilled pork in it. Price wise is a bit high with the amount of food. Overall is just average.
Food here is fantastic and staff is lovely and attentive. It's such a cute spot for a relaxed cozy lunch with all their plants, even the table numbers come on a little plant! The rolls were delicious, I got the tofu with peanut sauce. First time having Vietnamese iced coffee and it was soooo good! I got the beignets too, also good but I like tons of powdered sugar so would probably request extra next time. Will for sure be back!
The food is delicious and healthy with a variety of fresh vegetables. The atmosphere is casual. You order at the counter, and they bring the food to you. They do have beer and wine options available for purchase. Our bowls were delicious but the highly was the sauces.
I loved going to Bamboozle Heights. Upon entering, I loved how the exterior of the building is decorated. It gave me cozy home vibes where you can sit out in the porch and just relax. The interior is basically the same way, with beautiful decor and plants. The staff were friendly and helpful and made my experience one of the best. The seafood pho was delicious. Very hearty and flavorful. The dragonfruit passion tea was amazing. I will definitely be returning!!
A quaint restaurant near Zoo Tampa. About a 4 min drive. My family and I came across this place on our way home from the Zoo. Upon entering we sat ourselves and a young lady came over to let us know we need to order at the counter. She was nice enough to also bring us menus. We ordered the following: Fresh Rolls- 4/5- Traditional and Shrimp. Both were elevated by the sauce provided. Duck Boozle Bowl- 4/5- all ingredients were fresh. The duck was not what we expected especially for the price. It was chopped sautéed pieces of duck meat. Almost seemed like a ground duck texture but wasn't ground. Seafood Pho- 4/5- it was flavorful and included mussels, shrimp and calamari. The shrimp seemed to be sliced down the middle making the portion of shrimp included appear to be more. Soursop Smoothie- 5/5- Great tropical taste and not overly sweet. A hint of sweetness which was perfect for me. Vietnamese Coffee with toffee- 5/5 the toffee was light, airy and had a cookie crunch to it. The coffee was perfect. Thai Tres Leches Cake- 3/5- the Thai tea flavor lacked. It just had the color of the tea but tasted like a lightly sweetened regular tres leches cake. Ube Chocolate Chip Cookie- 3/5- again the Ube flavor lacked. It tasted like a normal chocolate chip cookie. It was also lightly sweetened which I appreciated.
Great pho spot with an awesome deal, 50% off large pho on Tuesdays! You order at the counter, get a number, and your meal is brought to your table. Heads up: parking is limited during dinner hours, so street parking might be your best bet. Don't miss out on their delicious treats, including gluten-free cookie options. This is a cute little spot with really good fresh food! I love the outside porch like feel where you can eat and it has greenery all around. The food was really tasty and fresh, made to order. The tacos were made with wonton and they were surprisingly delicious. They have this sauce they gave you for the crab rangoons that was made in house. That was so delicious, can go on just about anything and they sell it in 8 ounce bottles. We also had matchas, one Uber and one sticky rice. Bamboozle serves up Vietnamese cuisine in Seminole Heights, and I recently found out they have a weekend breakfast menu we needed to check out. We ordered two excellent items. The Spam & Eggs Breakfast Bánh Mi came on their house made bánh mì with fluffy eggs, crispy fried Spam, pickled veggies, and house scallion sauce. The Sausage & Egg Breakfast Bao featured house made nem pork sausage and fluffy eggs on a soft, pillowy fresh bao, also topped with house scallion sauce. For a sweet finish to all the savory bites, we ordered the Viet Style Beignets with condensed milk and roasted peanuts. Everything was washed down with a delicious Salted Sesame Vietnamese Cold Foam Coffee. If you haven't tried breakfast at Bamboozle yet, it's definitely worth a stop for great coffee and some really tasty bites. read more

Parking is tight so carpool if you can! This place is a great healthier option with vegan and gluten free alternative options. It's my first time at this location. Their fresh rolls are yummy and come with their own sauce that pairs perfectly. My favorite rolls are the beef and duck. I think they do the rolls pretty darn well here so make sure you try one! The inside is super cute. It was a lovely night to enjoy dinner outside. Staff are very friendly. read more

I was really excited to try out Bamboozle for breakfast but overall wasn't too impressed. We ordered a bunch of shareable plates and some iced coffees and overall the dishes were ok. Of all the savory dishes the spam breakfast bao buns were good but even those were fairly simple and almost tasted like they were lacking something. The beignets were tasty but the compote on top tasted very strongly almost like a wine jam. I enjoyed it for a sweet dish but my daughter did not like the jam topping whatsoever. We also go the breakfast bagel and I was really excited to try this but it was definitely lacking ingredients. It had eggs and spam inside but I was thinking it would also have a cream cheese which if it did I did not taste any at all. It was edible but very dry and if I went back I would not order it again. I tried the toasted sesame Vietnamese iced coffee and this was probably the most disappointing latte. It came last after we had almost finished breakfast and on top of that was not good. I was advised the coffee was super sweet so I asked if it could be made a little less sweet and it was extremely bitter not even the toasted sesame cold foam helped it. Probably would not go back for breakfast although some of the lunch dishes that were coming out as we were having breakfast did not look bad. I feel like the breakfast was overhyped on social media and def not worth it. One thing I will say the Taro Milk Tea was very good. It was the most expensive of the drinks so I'm happy at least my daughter enjoyed that. read more

I'll be back., Food was delicious. Awesome service. I like the Clean, simple decor. Cozy casual vibe. So friendly and helpful. Many "GF" & "V" options. My friend and I were there twice. I'm going back again with more friends this weekend. Pho was yummy. Drink choices were vast. They have All the ways you want to pay. It's got a "FK" $$ pricey and good quality vibe without all the loud noise and loud decor. Back into your parking spot. It's hell getting in and out of there. Carpool if you can. All small spots. I'LL BE BACK. read more

We ordered fried spring rolls, a fresh roll, pho and Iced tea. The fresh roll and pho was some of the best we had in the area! We will be back when we are in the area again! read more

Found this spot whilve visiting family in Tampa and I'm so glad we did. Everything was delicious! The fresh rolls lived up to their name for sure. We got a traditional banh mi and their seasonal pho. All the staff was kind and informative about the options. A cute spot with easy parking. I'm just sad I live far away and can't have it more often! read more

Came in for lunch with my coworkers. Parking is tight and the place isn't very big. Location is right next door to Bo's Ice Cream. It's a walk up and order establishment and they give you a table number for delivery to the table of your food. Upon walking in, the smell was fresh. Seating inside and outside available. Staff was friendly and able to explain the items on the menu. I ordered the passion mango tea which they make and bottle. The tea was extremely sweet! I had to get a cup of water and pour the tea into the water to dilute it. Also ordered the tofu yellow curry which was very tasty, just lacked more veggies. For apps we got the fried spring rolls, crab Rangoon and dumplings. Spring rolls were the clear winner. They were delicious! Crab Rangoon had an overpowering taste of lemongrass. Very strong, almost to the point of tasting somewhat fishy. And the texture of the cream filling needs to be thicker. The dumplings were raw! They were cold inside. Sent them back and took forever to get the replacement so we just got them to go. Great that we tried this place but just not for us. read more

Cute little local place! Casual dining, but feels a bit more upscale due to the smart design choices they made (sp in the outdoor patio area). Their prices are *very* reasonable, particularly for the Seminole Heights - Tampa area. My husband ordered one of their bahn mi sandwiches (he said it tasted average, unfortunately). BUT! I ordered their RED CURRY NOODLES and omg, it's the best red curry dish I've had anywhere in Tampa Bay after we lost that stellar Thai restaurant in Madeira Beach (IYKYK - last we heard, the former owner became an exec. chef for the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel). Back to Bamboozle Heights! We really appreciated how much variety their menu had and all the fresh ingredients they used. We found this spot thanks to the Offline restaurant club and so glad we did. This is now my go-to resto whenever I'm craving a good, complex, and QUICK red curry. read more

This was such a nice restaurant. Decor is really nice and the patio is nicely shaded and plenty of room to study. They had a variety of drinks and the mango lemonade was hitting! So fresh and not overly sweet. I went with the vegan dumplings, since they're only available on the weekends and the custom bowl with beef. Al of it was so fresh and the flavors were light, if that makes sense. The staff was super knowledgeable and so nice to chat with. 10/10 for them read more

Very bright and clean interior with outside dining as well. A different kind of vibe. You have to walk up to the counter to place your order and pay up front and if you're dining in they will give you a small water filled bottle with a # for table numberings the dishes are cooked someone will bring to your table. All the dishes looked good and the presentation was well thought out. I did find the flavorings all lacked a bit on papaya salad, banh mi sandwich. The crispy lemon grass wings were a bit too salty with it being a watery sauce. The crepe was a bit soggy and did not hold up and just fell apart, only some edges was crispy. This place is awesome. Initially my boyfriend and I got there around 10:40am not realizing the lunch menu starts at 11am. No big deal. We left and came back at lunch time. We ordered two small pho (one beef and one chicken) a bbq chicken fresh roll, a poke fresh roll, and the banh mi tacos. When I say everything hit the spot, it really did. Both phos were very flavorful. They give you hoisin and hot sauce to flavor your own broth, and bean sprouts, lime, etc to add at your discretion. The fresh rolls indeed tasted very fresh and were very filling. The tacos were amazingly crisp and the pickled daikon and carrots added the perfect tang. My only complaint (if you really want to call it that) is that the tacos tend to fall apart after one bite, but that's because they're so crispy! The ambiance was really nice. Yum yum Dead Bamboozle, please don't go out of business like so many yummy places in SemHeights. I just discovered you and want you to stay. I got a little crazy and ordered nearly everything- Pho, bamboozle bowl and about 5 rolls plus duck spring rolls- so I had dinner and lunch for the week! I have zero idea what was what (it was all to-go) so illl have to get back with you! read more
