Kimchi Fried Rice, Beef Bulogi & Rice Balls
    Mike K.

Service was very good from the moment you enter till you leave. Cool place. Chicken Wings were large, plus nice and crispy with good flavors. The Kimchi Fried Rice was tasty. The Beef Belogi was tasty. The Rice Balls were not recommended by them and we would not get those again. Drinks of a Beer and a Lemon Drop Cocktail were both good. There is a private karaoke room. We would return

So we went here after a concert, they had opened extra late for this event, they were open till 1 we had a big party of 10 they did require that our whole party be here before we could sit. We waited about 25 minutes and were sat immediately after the party arrived. I personally felt so bad because they were closing and they still took us in that was really nice!! The young lady was our server she was so nice!! They were out of certain plates bc it was so late. I got the rice bulgogi beef it was very very good!! Not too sweet or salty and my friend got the sweet and sour wings that were bomb! Those cooks can cook!!! All the food was good and I got a HUGE portion. The place was super cute kinda small but they had a back outdoor seating area so they could def fit a lot more people. Overall it's a really cute place to hang with friends get a couple drinks they also had an extensive drink menu! I would come again! The owners are a couple super friendly and nice and it seems family oriented. I think maybe they also had a karaoke room or maybe that was the place next door either way would come again!

Super vibey place and love the branding throughout the space! They did a great job with keeping the neon aesthetic consistent! The kimchi fried rice was different than others I've had in the past. Not bad, but different. My friend and I got the 12 piece wings half with yangnyeom (sweet/spice) and soy garlic. They were bigger than we expected yet still juicy. We enjoyed both sauces. The staff had gloves for us to use which was super helpful. We loved the snack platter! it was super fun to try each snack and guess what each snack was! I'd love to go back with a group of friends and try more items in the future

We were craving Korean food, and after seeing Gangchu on Instagram, we decided to visit for weekend dinner. Upon arrival, we realized Gangchu is a lively Korean Karaoke bar, packed with people enjoying their food and drinks. Since tables were full, we grabbed seats at the bar while waiting for a table to open up. After browsing the menu and discussing our options, we started with a Lychee Soju and ordered:Crispy Chicken Sandwich, Chicken Wings, Beef Bulgogi, Japchae. The Lychee Soju was a refreshing and fun way to start our meal. As soon as a table became available, we moved over and soon received our food. The Crispy Chicken Sandwich was seasoned, crispy, and served with french fries that complemented it well. The Chicken Wings were crispy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Next, we had the Beef Bulgogi, which was tender, flavorful, and easily the best dish of the night. However, Japchae (glass noodles) was disappointing--it lacked the flavor we were expecting, and we've had better versions elsewhere. Overall, Gangchu is a great spot for Korean food, drinks, and a lively atmosphere. If you're looking for a fun place to enjoy Soju, flavorful dishes, and Karaoke, this is the place to be!

Ordered the 12 piece wings and they were absolutely amazing. The wings were pretty meaty/juicy and the sauce was 10/10. My boyfriend and I had gotten the buldak and sweet and spicy flavor. Absolutely fire. Our server was quick and kind. The ambiance had a unique cozy vibe to it. Definitely will revisit again with my boyfriend soon!

Oh wow!!! I Highly recommend this joint!!! get it?? My coworker and I have a competition to find great places to eat when we travel together and I picked Gangchu because I was craving Korean fried chicken and their dish was AMAZEBALLS!!! F'ing delicious!!! And the Korean kimchi fried rice was Fran freakin tastic!!! We were going to split both dishes and wound up getting an order each. The process was terrific the service was outstanding. The hostess what gorgeous and the room is sleek modern and inviting. You must eat here. Enjoy a cocktail or a beer. Thank you Gangchu 맛있는

We came in for a late dinner and opted to sit outside on the back patio. Service was friendly and helped answer our questions on the menu. We decided on the jalapeno bombs, boneless chicken (sweet and spicy sauce), and gangchu fries. Everything came out hot and delicious! The chicken was perfectly crispy and the sauce was amazing. I already can't wait to come back!

Not vegetarian friendly despite what Yelp says and what they used to serve in the past. The parking spots are very narrow also.

Tasty - the other menu photos are not accurate. This one is. They have new ownership. I ate the chicken sandwich and it was crunchy and delicious. I also had the bonchon plate which came with a tasty seaweed, Kim chi, pickles and fish cakes.

Food was amazing, Service was super fast and space is super cool! We had dinner then did some karaoke! This was my first time at Gangchu and it did not disappoint! Food came out super fast and everything was delicious! I ordered the Soy Garlic Boneless wings and these were fried to perfection! Also got to try the Kimchi fried rice and it was super flavorful and fresh! I will def be back to Gangchu!

    Do they have high chairs?

YES. I just looked thru the interior photos; there is a stack of wooden highchairs in a pic.

Which sides are gluten-free? I see the menu specifies the dishes, which is so helpful (seriously, thank you so much!) but the sides and banchan aren't marked.

As of right now all of our banchan is gluten free!

The hostess was pleasant when arriving and presented herself with exceptional sleek style. Someone brought me a palate cleanser drink which was rhubarb and lemongrass water. It was smooth and refreshing. The server guided me through the cocktail menu which was an exploration all its very own. I choose the cocktail called Opposite Day- Japanese whiskey, sweet Sauvignon Blanc, salted wine and roasted beets- twist on a whiskey sour but flipped! Oysters were light and fresh and the juice in the shell was precision clean. It really pops the flavors of the oyster. Yellowtail jalapeño handroll- it is designed to be eaten similar to a taco. The yellowtail was superbly fresh, the jalapeno was a mild touch to accompany the dish and didn't try to be the star. and the homemade soy sauce didn't over power the fish. Duck leg finished with a Szechuan spice and finished a pear au jus. The duck fell off the bone and was bursting with a complex blend of elegant flavors. The seasonal menu has already changed, so I am not sure of the drinks we got lol both were fun and just okay.. mine came in a cone shape ceramic and very tart? The food was pretty good - some hits and misses. The caviar service was good but came with thin chips that break. I would recommend small pancakes. The sea bream hand rolls were good and the chirashi was very good. The karaage was good but the chive aioli was incredible. Overall cool concept but would love a bigger entree options on their menu. This would open up more patrons to visit who don't want to drop $500 for sushi
